Let's say I'm just curious about some general legal questions, and that this case has some of the possible details that would allow me to ask them. With that in mind, let me ask these hypothetical questions, and although I don't know if anyone can provide expert opinion, maybe they'll be good starting points for discussion.

Hypothetical #1:

Ok, let's say my wife, maybe after some conversation with siblings, gets it into her mind that her father must get out of the picture as soon as possible. It's been decided that I'm the only person for the job (and/or maybe I don't mind it -- maybe I'm upset too), and she has a plan about how to make this work without my getting blamed. So, this ends up happening...but down the road, I have some second thoughts, and I sometimes get worried that this will all be pinned on me. I know that others know what I've done, and I really didn't want any part of it, but the alternative was just not something I could face at the time. I got along fine with the old guy, but I couldn't live without my wife, and now I'm not so sure if she wouldn't hang me out to dry if it meant saving herself. And so I ask -- is there any way I could approach LE to explain what has happened, and try to get as good a deal as possible for myself? I didn't want this to happen.

Hypothetical #2:

My sister has been winding us up, getting us mad at Dad for a while. I am not saying she doesn't have a point, and I was upset about how quickly Dad took his new wife into our family, and how this affects the will does concern me. Just the same, I sort of think that when she got her husband to do what he did, and sort of said that she was doing it to help all of us, that she got me and my family involved more than we would ever have wanted, and I didn't expect all of this to happen. I never had anything to do with this, other than keep my mouth shut about my own hunches (or maybe more) -- is there any way I could talk to LE without getting myself into trouble for something I didn't do?

Again, these are general hypothetical questions -- nothing implicating anyone here.

Montjoy -good points.

#1- You forgot to add great grandchildren. Many have the possiblity to be affected on the fall out when this case is solved. Note, I did not say IF, I stated WHEN.

IMO, too many are playing the role of coming up with an alibi or trying to play smoke and mirrors. Obvious to even the understudy.

There is an old old song... which goes something like "And the night has a thousand eyes, and a thousand eyes cant't help but see...." It is about someone trying to cheat a lover. There are too many players trying to cover up in this case. Whoever spills the truth to LE first wins.... The question remains. Will they spill or continue to cover up the truth?

and to the remember that old saying. Not to talk too much because you never know who might be sitting next to you on an airplane?

I love my daddy! I love him sooo much I have a 16X24 (standard poster size) foam backed picture of him on a Wheaties box. Daddy got me and my siblings first row on the floor last time Michael Jordan played on the home floor in game 6! I actually have various family pics on Wheaties boxes.... The breakfast of Champions ;) BTW my daddy calls Neiman Marcus Needless Markup... and the poor guy posed in his Neiman Marcus 'BVD's" on another 16X24 foamed back poster -with that look like daughters don't you dare!

I think about my daddy and Bob, and I wish Bob was more like my daddy who taught his THREE daughters, yes, I am one of three girls, discipline like my daddy did.

Bob - I am eating my Wheaties to solve your case. And If I was your daughter, I would not have done all that. though I might have enjoyed a little teasing to watch a vein in your forhead look like it was gonna pop.

My dad is 69! and I am so lucky to have him. And I don't mind that he is celebrating 20 years with my step mom.

...and I miss my old friend who retired way back in the day and was a decade or so older than Bob. His name was Harold... and way back visiting him in Florida in the summer. I had an Old Style with him while we watched the Cubs on WGN and my friend and her mom watched Soaps.
I had the honor of Harold telling me, why can't mu daughters drink a beer with me and watch the Cubs. None of his girls liked sports. (and they were all adopted and very Catholic)

Bob, I am thinking in my mind how you would fit into my life. If I was your daughter. I'd be mama bear... I just noticed - as a sleuth my dad has one attached and one detached earlobe. I notice the smallest of things....

My 7 year old knows your face. He knows... and when I get good news on your case and dance around the living room singing 'whoop der it is!" He asks, mommy did all the cases get solved? I tell him, no just moving forward on 'Grandpa Bobs's' case.

Cubby- who loves being a daughter
and little Cub - looking for justice for Bob.

ps, the worst thing my step mom did was make dad buy a car with air conditioning!

Bob, I think my dad is a lot like you so as another "cheapskates" daughter, I know my dads money is his to do what he wishes with and I gotta fight for you! You deserved more! and you so deserved to have peace and to enjoy your life after your 'to death do us part' went to heaven.

Another hypothetical question......Would this daughter/sister think it wise not to join in the quest to gain control of the father's estate through the courts, so as not to draw more attention to herself?

You know who stands out to me? Grandson who changed his name. Unless the reasons are purely mercenary, that indicates some kind of devotion. I mean, not that this has any bearing on Bob's case, but what kind of fallout is there when your son changes his name from his paternal family to his maternal family name??

That is indeed very interesting -- I hadn't noticed that only two daughters (or which daughters) were attached to the estate case, but it is a matter of record in the court documents. And it's not like the daughter whose name isn't attached to the case has been uninterested or disinterested in the estate matters, in light of comments she has made.

Can someone add dateline to this list?

I will be getting my letters together and out over this upcoming holiday weekend when I have some kid free time.

ETA : I deliberately took the quote off because we can't quote quoted posts. :) (hope that makes sense..)

Has anyone heard anything from any of the networks/production companies? I'm halfway wondering if we should put together a collective pitch rather than a bunch of individual ones. I think that the networks would be keen to cover a story on which their affiliates have footage already, and there were news items on Bob both before and after his (well, let's face it) murder/abduction.

I agree Montjoy-I want to apologize for my disjointed effort lately...I have three down with strep so it has been a madhouse here. I will be able to focus more tomorrow and next week, so I can help coordinate or whatever you-all wish!!

I received a response from Viewer Relations at Investigation Discovery - Disappeared. It said the first season of Disappeared has completed production and they are currently compiling the numerous missing person cases being submitted for future consideration. The response said that additionally, the information is being shared with the network’s online team for potential coverage at www.Investigation.Discovery.com and David Lohr’s Criminal Report Daily blog.

There are clips from the show Disappeared on their website - looks like a good show. http://investigation.discovery.com/tv/disappeared/

The first season of Disappeared was last year so hopefully they should be filming the second season soon. BBM. Excellent to know they are sharing the info! That increases the chances of Bobs story getting the much needed national media attention we so desire! :woohoo:

Does anyone know when Bob and Georgia married?

In trying to catch up on reading I noticed something which struck me with regards to the 'cold feet' theory.

Reading though the links - particularly this one at project Jason - scroll down to La Vina's post. There is some timeline - I don't know where it came from unless it is in the 70 comments...

Look where they list Bob meets Georgia in August of 1950 and becomes engaged to Georgia in October of 1950. I find it VERY curious they omitted when Bob and Georgia MARRIED. Perhaps because if Bob and Georgia married very soon after their engagement it would have been further proof the Cold Feet theory was nonsense..... IF Bob married someone soon after meeting her and the marriage lasted more than 50 years how would that then be different from him also deciding to marry Fontelle so soon after reuniting.

I'm really curious to know when Bob and Georgia married... and how soon it was after their engagement after only knowing each other two months.

If you scroll down to "LoriDavis" she posts an article saying they were married in 1951.
