Me thinks the daughters doth protest a bit much...
It wasn't their father who had money issues.
It wasn't Bob who was the miser and skinflint.

All along, they were worried about their inheritance being burnt up on two elderly people and their potential medical bills and issues.
All along they were worried about their own lives and wealth.
Shame

They have been busy. It concerns me to see a lawsuit against a material witness (presumably) in their father's case. One who has been cleared unequivocally by Law Enforcement. So we know that the civil filing has nothing to do with responsibility for any aspect of Bob's case....so why would the family of Bob Harrod file suit against someone who showed such compassion to their dying mother that she made trips to Carnation Drive to do Georgia's hair?

The pilates, vet bills had me ROARING, until I realized that this was one of the women who has benefited from this trust-I mean I have to assume anyway. I cant imagine SSDI pays so well you can afford a lifestyle that encompasses 10-15K vet bills and pilates. Perhaps she has the Mari Windsor DVD's like I do.

Yes, I would speculate the lifestyle they'd grown accustomed to couldn't be afforded anymore, especially if one hadn't worked in years and the other was laid off. I guess it's a risk one takes when plunging into the volcano without fear of the future.

Interesting...

Bob's youngest daughter JM posted on her community forum on Feb 11, 2011 about Bob's Model A or T in his garage. She contends that she wants nothing out of the house unless her father returns home.

However...

In JM's email to her sisters on April 8, 2010, she starts the email with " Items wanted from Dad's home at 522 Carnation Dr" and on her list that follows, item #29 is the 1923 Model A Doctor's Coupe.

Interesting, I'll say. Sounds like conflicting statements.

Interesting choice of words about 'returning home'. I wonder if she's still promoting the awful 'cold feet' theory? Or perhaps some variant on a voluntary disappearance? If that's the case, I wonder what efforts she has been making to locate him, to be able to reunite her son and grandchildren with her father.

And as for not wanting anything out of his house -- come on, that is ridiculous verging on insane, in light of the 'memorabilia' list that you linked, authored by Bob's daughter JM.

Just reading item # 66 on Julie's long list of items she wants from her father's house:

66. Give us a chance to go through the house and take items we cannot recall until we see.

"I think my sister has been going through stuff down there..."

Sounds like someone is distancing themselves.

"I however want nothing to do with his house unless he returns home."

Perhaps daughter J wants nothing to do with her father's house but she seems to wants the items in his house.

Does the house hold bad memories for J? Maybe she is afraid of ghosts.

As funny as that omnibus request to denude the house is, we must note that it is item 66 -- of 79. That document pertaining to the items JM wanted from her father's home was likely longer, more detailed, and had more feeling than anything any of Bob's daughters wrote with an eye to helping resolve their father's disappearance, or elicit public support, or assist LE.

It's also worth pointing out that despite item #66, JM felt it necessary to add, at the end of the list: "We need a day to go through the house and select items we cannot list as this list is compiled from memory only. A time when Fontelle and her family is away from the house."

(IMO, as is all of this, one must also wonder what other reasons they might want access unsupervised by their father's wife, the legal resident of the house.)

If JM is claiming to have no interest in the house (or its contents), are we to think that possibly the trust, or the trustees, or its legal representatives have misrepresented her interests? Or perhaps has she misrepresented her interests herself?

All JMO.

Yes, sounds like they want to get inside Bob's house for some reason.

Co-trustees PB and RB submitted sister JM's email with 79 entries of things wanted from Bob's house. As co-trustees, they have a responsibility to resist "undue influence." I wonder how far that influence extends behind the scenes? Who's calling the shots?

So it's safe to assume she won't be going dth to change the linens again anytime soon?

Yes..."a day to go through the house and select items"......as if they were shopping. This is the house and items of her missing father.

I hope J's husband has made a detailed list, such as his wife's "memorabilia" list, of what occurred on July 27, 2009, the last day Mr. Harrod is known to be alive.

I mean really-she is disengenuous at best...but beyond silly. I mean beyond silly. In a crazy weird way this makes me even more sorry for RB. All along we thought she was calling the shots. Well I guess that theory is out the window. Here comes the bus, I think.....

The owner of the community forum where daughter JM posts advised they were going to shut the website down. JM was quick to post that she:
  • Is willing to help with a fund raising campaign.
  • Knows all of the Office software. Will do spreadsheets, emails, follow-ups, anything to help.
  • Wants to make higher payments to the site just to make a better dent in aiding the site.
IMO, this is the kind of urgency and action one would hope to see about her missing father, not about a website that is going to be shut down.

I saw all of the calculations...the ones centered around 91 members. How many of us are included in that number, come on fess up?? Just kidding.

Let's buy ROTW and maintain her platform for her? Or perhaps the trust will take it over?

Sorry, that was probably uncalled for. :truce:

Agreed, and even since that post, she has promoted a 'community awareness' campaign about the value of RotW, and has appealed for a 'community effort'. She's run some numbers on how small donations could accumulate into a meaningful amount. Even talk about cashing in on recyclables. Where was all of this effort, thought, and passion with regard to solving the 'mystery' of her father's disappearance, when last seen by her husband? Where was the fund-raising for search efforts, a publicity campaign, or a reward? What are the priorities, and why?
