Oh yes. Another believable statement.

I wonder if she changed the linens for Bob and Fontelle before or after this interview. Also, I wonder why her husband JM wasn't in the video. Oh that's right, her husband JM didn't go back to Bob's house the next day. He must have been exhausted from his home repairs the day before.

Has daughter JM's handyman hubby ever returned to the house? I bet he hasn't. Strange since he left a note telling Mr. Harrod he would be returning to finish his repairs. I wonder if that note was left for the benefit of others.

Additionally, I find it strange that hubby, JM, did not help with the clean-out of Mr. Harrod's house. Daughter JM's long list of memorabilia items stated most items belonged to her and hubby and hubby did have a truck to load it into.

On February 6, 2011, daughter JM started a thread on her community forum. I thought it was going to be titled “Do you have any ideas on how I can find my father?” but instead it was called “Do you have a Bucket List?” and is about places she wants to see. She started off by saying she wants to see the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam. She mentions the idea of taking a helicopter to/from the Grand Canyon and touring by Hummer. She would like to see the Pyramids but it’s not a good time now. Greece and Italy are also on her “Bucket List.”

She goes on to list the numerous islands she’s been to and her other travels in detail.

Her father is still missing, correct? Yet there is not a single word about trying to find him.

IMO, it would seem her husband may have been under a lot of pressure in July 2009 to keep her in the lifestyle she’d grown accustomed to.

On August 11, 2009, daughter RB asked posters on IS to “Say a prayer on that as family has no liquid assets to hire search dogs.” (post since removed)

On August 14, 2009, daughter RB advised that the probate hearing this week as an "Emergency" petition to attempt to obtain trust moneys to avail funds to be able to offer a reward. (post since removed)

Yet on February 23, 2011, daughter JM posted on her community forum that if she had the patience with eBay she could bring in some “great bucks” for all of the “stuff” she has, that she needs to get rid of, and that she “just does not want to deal with shipping and stuff like that.” Then she posts that perhaps she’ll find someone to do it for her that she’d pay a commission for. She’s also demonstrated that she can be very resourceful when she wants to be, example offering to help with a fund raising campaign, doing spreadsheets, emails, follow-ups for her community website.

Where was this resourcefulness by daughter JM to raise money for a reward and raise awareness after her father went missing?

I am volunteering to help her with her Ebay dilemna. She can get me via the email link in my signature. :) I think I will take the commission money and make a few flyers for Mr. Harrod.

JM tells the readers that she furnished her mom and dad's home with her and hubby's stuff, and she is just stuffed!

Reading the thread on ROTW, it appears JM is planning to get rid of some "stuff." Could it be the stuff from the clean-out at Mr. Harrod's house.

Thank you, good friend of old Bob Harrod, who needs more such friends, and thank you, good friend of justice.

It has been posited by more than one of Bob's daughters that there is a morass of mystery surrounding this case. I often wonder what they mean.

IMO, they could not mean that there is any mystery about whether Bob is alive or dead. If they believed him alive, they would not have emptied his home.

If walls could speak, one might guess that AH's have a story to tell about that evening. Just the same, there are a few people out there who can reveal what happened. They know what happened, and they know why this is not really a mystery to anyone.

Coming immediately after a (heated) family meeting in which Bob revealed that he would include his wife in his estate, and a day before Bob 'disappears' while his SiL is performing handyman services, what could Bob's daughters believe so pressing to discuss that they decided to convene a meeting (without Bob) at AH's home?

Was it to discuss forthcoming repairs to Bob's house? Special linens to be changed two days later? Hermeneutic depths of 'Joe Vs. the Volcano'?

Who can say, short of the walls or the first of his kin to step up -- but regardless, Bob was likely no longer among us within 24 hours of that meeting.

Will nobody lift this veil of sadness? Just do the right thing. Think about the good things that you already have.

BBM~~~~~

Exactly. They post on forums as if their father is still alive and ran away on his own, but behind the scenes they are cleaning out their father's house.

So let me get this straight...after approx. 50 years of marriage her parents had nothing to call their own? Now that is some strange stuff!

As I said, I wish a professional would analyze all JM's video appearances and postings.

Yeah, and the parents were the ones with the all important MONEY. Odd how they never owned anything for themselves.

Interesting thought. Possibly laying the ground work for the upcoming sale of Bob's possessions (I mean her stuff) on eBay to get cash. And through a 3rd party as the seller so not directly linked to her.

I'll be keeping an eye on eBay for sure.

I will let you all know if I am the third party.

Happy March everyone! We have a hearing date coming up on March 16 so mark you calendars. Wonder what drama will unfold between now and then, and who will attend now that Bob's house has been cleaned out?

A hearing date coming up on March 16. Thanks, Believe.
Is this the hearing for the auditor's report?

Yes Teamer, it looks like the co conservators would like the audit certified.

While this isn't directly related to Bob's case, I thought this was worth a mention:

http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/br...rder-in-case-of-missing-person-117153113.html

This pertains to a missing person's case from 2003. The body of the victim (Derek Kembel) has not been recovered, but the police have charged someone with the murder....

*and*

...they have also charged someone (who would appear to be the suspect's father) with 'accessory after the fact to murder'. The significance of this needs no explanation, but I thought it worth noting for any Harrod daughter who might wish to avoid such a fate herself. The best way to save oneself from similar prosecution would be to talk to a lawyer (and not one earning money off of Bob's estate) about how to cut a deal with investigators while one has the chance.

Thank you Montjoy...VERY interesting and the significance surely is not lost on any of us following this case!

For the benefit of anyone joining this case in the last while, I think it only prudent that I re-link the following post with its attached case document:

Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community - View Single Post - CA CA - Bob Harrod, 81, Orange County, 27 July 2009 - #5

I must also point out, as ****** does (albeit not in the same terms), that the document he links may contain 'triggers' for some readers. Notwithstanding, there is a wealth of information in that document, on the public record, and it deserves the scrutiny of this community.

Every time I read that the daughters retained an attorney within 72 HOURS of their father's disappearance, who then ordered Fontelle out of the house, I am astonished. That is three days! As far as anyone could know, Mr Harrod might possibly have returned home within that time. That, to me, speaks volumes!

Yes, it is clear they knew he was not coming back...from the attempted removal of items and tidying up which was done on 7/28/09, the rapid attempt at wresting control of the estate, "for the purposes of offering a reward..." the reward that was issued, now when was that??? Let me think, oh yes in DECEMBER of 2010...let's see that is 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9...17 months after their father went missing and, let me see 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9...16 months after they had the estate put into their hands.

Better late than never I always say. And you can understand the delay, cant you? With the purchasing of office supplies, paying attorneys. Well and the other stuff they do to do whatever they do...I wonder how much time Bob devoted on a daily, weekly or monthly basis to the "care and feeding" of his assets? One hour, two hours?

This family has lost so much. Mother, Father-but they have gained a stepmother, two trusts and myriad items of memorabilia. And RB is the one who has to handle it all. By herself. At least on the surface that it-perhaps they all support each other behind the scenes.

I dont know if it balances out-I hope it does. I really do. What is a life worth?

Well, again, March 16 should be an interesting day. Another hearing with filings and transcripts...good Lord.

I hope Bob comes back to Fontelle soon. Very, very soon. :(
