GUILTY CA - Dr. Mark Anderson for groping dental patients, Woodland, 2007

  • #81
I was under the impression when a patient is "under the N.O. gas" that another person has to monitor the oxygen levels that are mixed with the N.O., so one works on the patient and the other "oversees" the correct "mix" and levels.

Poor guy, I wonder how he will support his family once he is in Prison as I looked up the "technique" for TMJ and it has nothing to do with breast massage. Neck and Head, yes, below the neck, no.

Maybe they had extremely long necks???

Medical care isn't that great in prison. Perhaps he can open his own "massage parlor/medical center" there. They can pay him in Tops and stamps.

He will be very popular in prison, Bubba is waiting for him.

lol....right, lol

& nitrous oxide is the 'gas' that makes you "la la la la"....:)

if my dentist had jumped on top of me, at that very moment, i'd have given him a big bear hug...lol
(course he didn't, & i didn't)...solemn smiley inserted

I actually like the gas. You have to ask for and pay extra for it these days. I remember as a kid they left me in the chair breathing in the gas and I looked down at my feet and one of them did a complete circle without me moving it at all. I remember it very vividly. I have never tried any recreational drugs (yes, patting myself on the back), but I imagine that you could feel like you do on the N.O. at the dentist. I will just save myself the trouble and continue to be a good girl.

You stand up and say what the eff are you doing and walk out.

Good for you.

Clearly many victims of sexual assault do not feel as empowered as that.

Sad, but true. Hopefully, this will be an eye opener for many women. Women just need to assert themselves. If something doesn't feel right for whatever reason, please ladies say or do something. Women are amazing creatures and they deserve to feel that they've got the right to say loud and clear what they are and what they're not comfortable with. I think this is something we need to teach our daughters early on.

Amen, sister!

This reminds me of when I went to a new doctor for the first time to get new prescripts because we had just moved here and my old ones expired. I go into the office and before they even did a history the nurse asked me to take off my shirt and bra because they doctor would like to examin my breasts. I refused and I never went back. I now have a great doctor!

I think I went to that one, too. I was going to try the doctor supervised liquid only diet and TWO MINUTES after he told me my mammogram from the last visit was NEGATIVE for anything wrong, he stuck his hand up my shirt. Since I was there for weight loss and JUST had a mammogram, my husband (who was in the room) came UNGLUED on him!

What a quack! I have to say this though - if it's so common, there must be alot of people who do not object.

Wonder if he's related to the dentist that pulled my wisdom teeth. When I got home, his business card was placed in my wallet and his business number and home number were in my address book. I have never gone to the dentist alone after that.

Did he touch you at all??

WOODLAND, Calif. -- There is new information in the case of a Woodland dentist accused of fondling his female patients.

KCRA 3 has learned that the new judge, administrative law Judge Melissa Crowell, has upheld the suspension order, meaning that Dr. Mark Anderson will not be able to see any patients as the hearing progresses.

I was really upset when I read about this dentist. When I was in 6th grade I had an orthodontist that laid his tools on my chest. I was so *&*%&* naive or I would have told my parents...who probably would have killed him! He did this for 4 years. It was strange because it did bother me inside, but his all-female team of assistants never did or said anything about it, so why did I feel weird about it?

I hated going and would often miss appointments (he was down the street so I walked) which would make my parents furious! I know why now, but sure didn't get it back then.

I have always been well-endowed and this attention to that area of my body was not unusual, but it sure didn't make it ok.

Once it became clear to me that what he had done was SO wrong, I wanted to go back to him and confront him with it. I found out he had died at an early age. I can't say I was sad to hear that.

I wonder how many others (possibly younger) patients this dentist has touched inappropriately that we don't even know about.

I remember my dentists and orthodontists always put a bib on me,and laid the tools on my chest. I don't recall it being anything I thought was anything other than routine and no one touched my breasts. I think it's interesting that each of us viewed it differently. It wasn't an issue with me, but it obviously was with you. I wonder if your orthodontist didn't have ill intent, or if mine did. Hmmm.

My old dentist, whom was rough always did that. all the tools on my chest till I had a hissy, I told him to put his phone down (Cuz he had the major long extenstion cord) and was always yapping about golf. And pay attention to my mouth. I also told him I am not his table..

You have to admit, it's an awfully convenient surface for tools in relation to the mouth, and far more room on it than the forehead...

I think there might be a difference in tools on chest and a chest massage for tmj
I rub my jaw where it hinges when my tmj acts up not my chest
and no they have assistants and tray tables for the tools

I am sure it was. But he was a real jerk to start with.
