Hmmm... I'm convinced he had Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD) - while Asperger's does synch with the voice inflection data, he appears to have been taking something that slashed the constant crying (CC) episodes. We see massive CC's from 16 to 19, with little at all from 20-22.

Here is some in-depth, DEEP analysis - certainly not main-stream - Mega Sleuth style... the way we like it.

The diction of this kid is stunning. pp 1-99 ; zero grammatical errors. pp. 100-117 ; six grammatical/mechanical errors, with four of them simply keystroke issues with the space bar. Spell check can only do so much.

Deep Analysis.

Just skimmed your link as in a rush - but very interesting, gajonka. I too was struck by his Patrick Batemanesque musical taste.....he'd probably have loved to be Patrick Bateman, the successful alpha male.

He rebuffed them and saw them as enemies that got in the way for him. He probably wanted to kill them as well.

This passage of the manifesto caught my attention.

As I made my way back from school one day during the first week, I was stopped at a stoplight in Isla Vista when I saw two hot blonde girls waiting at the bus stop. I was dressed in one of my nice shirts, so I looked at them and smiled. They looked at me, but they didn’t even deign to smile back. They just looked away as if I was a fool. As I drove away I became very infuriated. It was such an insult. This was the way all girls treated me, and I was sick and tired of it. In a rage, I made a U-turn, pulled up to their bus stop and splashed my Starbucks latte all over them. I felt a feeling a spiteful satisfaction as I saw it stain their jeans. I then quickly speeded away before they could catch my license plate number. How dare those girls snub me in such a fashion! How dare they insult me so! I raged to myself repeatedly. They deserved the punishment I gave them. It was such a pity that my latte wasn’t hot enough to burn them. Those girls deserved to be dumped in boiling water for the crime of not giving me the attention and adoration I so rightfully deserve!

This incident soured my first week of college, but for the sake of all of my hopes and dreams, I tried to forget about it.

Any form of rejection real or imagined, throws Elliot Rodger into uncontrollable rage. He thinks people who do not give him attention deserve to be severely harmed. He really wants attention and will do anything for it. Rodgers really overreacts to every little slighting real or perceived. I see extreme sense of entitlement as it is a recurring theme.

I wonder.... what 're the chances he had his 5% black tinted windows rolled up when he smiled at the girls and all they could see was their own reflections in the window?
He doesn't say he rolled the window down.
I say 5% in jest. 5% is illegal here in Ga. 35% is the lowest value for window tint that is allowable. However, being the entitled, narcisst that he was, he'd get 5% anyway because he is so special.

After page 99 the reading gets harder.

Does anybody think he could have been helped at all? I don't think even with the very best psychiatric help that he could have got over his hatred of everybody. Even if medication could help with any 'voices in his head' he would always hear his own voice so would continue to have twisted thoughts.

I've never at any point read that he ever loved anybody - not his mother, father, sister, brother, nannies or his ex friends.

Ty, ISisRising (smile)

I could not believe the 80s music! Uncertain if you've seen all of the "adventure" videos... and I list all of the songs on GFU - but it is ,,, I am ,,, speechless.

Each song - the lyrics -
"walking on sunshine," en route to "college"
"Can't hurry love," "Heaven is a place on earth,"

Truly Bret Easton Ellis - as we know he was a voracious reader - ripping thru Game of Thrones, Secret, Subliminal, and , obvi, Hunger Games I, 2, 3. Gosh, had to be doing something on that room.

But yes, Patrick Bateman all the way - and without the sexual conquest aspect - everything else was in place- the puzzle was a perfect match ( of course the setting is more in line with LESS THAN ZERO, than AP), but with that last block of the puzzle - never produced by the factory - it is - and I hate to use this word... but surreal.

I think it is important to note - he speaks of massive slaughter - and the fact that the damage was limited in scope, but still.

Love ya,

G

It feels like he was 'born' this way. He had hatred in his soul by age 5. I don't think it was
environmental. I think he was just a messed up, soulless, freak. jmo :moo:

….“He was getting help consistently since he was 8 or 9 years old,”……….

….didn’t see that email until Friday at 9:17 p.m., Astaire said. Ten minutes later, having already fatally stabbed Cheng Yuang Hong, 20, George Chen, 19 and Weihan Wang, 20, in his apartment...........

My notion here is he started shooting 10 minutes after mom first opened email

Sent it to………… emailed to about 25 people

“He apparently had never been either institutionalized or committed for an involuntary hold of any kind,

….She opened up the email and ... she can tell in a couple lines that there’s something seriously, seriously wrong. She called a therapist, who in turn called a mental-health hotline. The hotline then phoned police to check up on Rodger, Astaire said.

Got first gun :…“I signed all of the papers and was told that my pickup day was in mid-December,” he wrote.

His mother, Lichin 'Chin' Rodger, is a nurse from Malaysia. Peter divorced Chin and married Soumaya Akaaboune, a French-Moroccan actress who stars in the French version of the Real Housewives.

Elliot Rodger has one little sister and a half brother from his father's second marriage.

Rodger grew up in tony Woodland Hills, Los Angeles in a four bedroom, five bath home that is valued at just under $1million.

Can I just add - to be prescribed Risperidone means that there was serious mental illness - not just Aspergers.

Risperidone is a heavy duty anti-psychotic medication - that's what I was trying to say earlier - to even have received that prescription indicates that he had a serious mental illness and had been diagnosed by a psychiatrist.

Good morning Mega Sleuths!

There is only one exchange to learn the answer to this one... so we learn ( somewhere - maybe around pp 127) that MOM bought the # series coupe for ER in late 2013. From here he puts in a 9-9 shift - driving aimlessly - solo - during his LAST DAYS...

What was he driving pre-BMW?

Quite remarkable this 141 pager ...
"...when I learned about the hierarchy of cars..."

"...that's when Mom explained to me what the lottery was..."

A portrait of youth - I guess Generation y2k - regardless... obvi, here's a spike in his confidence- with room isolation completely slashed when the BMW arrives.. figure he'd toughen it a bit longer. What was he driving during the bulk of his two years in SB?

High level of difficulty.. but there is only one place to obtain answers lie these... one must go to the MASTERMINDS... (smile)

Love ya,

The G

Apartment killings

unless the killings were spaced apart - by hours- how could one person kill three people
it seems like if someone i was lliving with started screaming and two of us there we could go overpower him

with a gun i could get it but with knives the only conclusion i can come up with is he killed one waited killed the next waited killed the next ??? No?

A N D a PS here! Last night LE was very odd --- it first broke as 6 killed peroid giving the impression that all 6 were in the slow drive bye mode

it was hours later before LE acknoledge that three of the six were in his apartment. We cant say from the begginning that they did NOT know about the 3 in the apt - the number was 6;

Why did they not from the beggining say three dead in suspects apt and three on the streets???????????

Kinda wonder if mom dad call and cops did not respond correctly and the truth might be if LE responded to mom earlier report ( first place LE would go is where the young man lived )

Notions pls

BBM ~
I am confused by this too. How could he overpower three people in his apartment? Maybe he had them at gunpoint??

is that folks are confusing ruminative thinking patterns with "hearing voices" Asperger sufferers do not experience hallucinations.
... the client can describe things going over and over in their heads ....for him it would be like, he would say I keep hearing girls,
I cant stop thinking about girls, grils girls, what he in
all likelihood is trying to express is that he keeps THINKING about girls, kinda like when a song gets in our head
that is way different than hearing voices.

Authentic hallucinations or hearing voices or hearing things can be one of two ways . From the outside "you will go kill" in a
different "voice" , or within the head of the sufferer but heard as if someone else is talking within.

A client of mine, years ago , once explained to me, in a way I will never forget. I describing "voices" (not ER)
he said it is like being stuck between two radio stations, neither of them tuned in correctly but both playing,
all the time, loudly
(static)
together. Sometimes the stations are "in" his head, while at some times both radios are playing together from outside.

Ponder that..........There are all kinds of hallucinations (again different flavors but all ice cream).
They can be visual wherein they are actually seeing things that are not really there. There are
auditory hallucinations - as it sounds !
There can hallucinations where "smells" are experienced that are only in their minds, there are
hallucinations where they feel things that are not there .

There are delusionals which are different than hallucinations.Delusions are in thier own thought processes but not realistic or true butm, by the sufferer BELEIVED (James Holmes I AM the Joker). In Holmes case he was delusionial, not necc hearing anything but beliwving knowing in his mind that he is the Joker and MUST, as the Joker do what the Joker must do .... go the premier and kill, after all that IS what the Joker would do and since I am the Joker..................[FONT=&quot]

and then that would mean we will never know,
Iguess we could rule out if we find out time
of deaths for each one and they were far
apart in time

I think I am the guilty party here (or am I having a delusion!) as it relates to everything getting big.

Any tech person here know how to get stuff back to regular size?

Ah ah I did it by taking out those two!

I am however not very happy about that in that I wanted to share the map with you all !

Anyone, how would you make a picture smaller when doing a cut and paste?

Also weird that he remembers this incident as every single one of the girls being beautiful blondes. Talk about a crazy obsession! Living in Southern California I seriously doubt if even half the girls were blonde. Not to mention the trend here is to dye your hair brunette.

In one of the articles linked on this forum, there is a photo or ER with what looks like classmates. Says he was 7 and his hair was dyed blonde. Who does this to a 7 year old or who allows a 7 year old to do this?! I think we are going to see some nasty skeletons fall out of closets before this is over!

Additionally... his car was used as a "weapon", too... when he purposely tried to run down people...

Something to think about....

Wonder if the car was registered to him?

BBM...

Yes... His lack of spelling/grammar/etc. errors is astounding....

In addition to mastery of these literary elements... I imagine he had a compulsion for perfection... As he seemed to exhibit evidence of OCD...

In link below a relative reports that he was known to fold and refold clothes...obsessive/compulsive behavior IMO...

Most likely at gunpoint, and cornered!

Why is it astounding? He was well educated and from a well to do family. OCD is a form of anxiety disorder. Adam Lanza had OCD. It doesn't affect intelligence or the ability to write grammatically correct sentences.

They could have been sleeping or he could have drugged them. Per his manifesto he had a stash of Xanax.

I agree, Isabelle.

I believe ER was giving "warning signals" for many, many years. Some may be unwilling to talk about them (and we shall see) due to fear of lawsuits and emotional repurcussions. It's not easy to admit now if you're a friend, family member, mental health practioner, or law enforcement that yes.....you knew he was really ill. Because the next question is---when did you see these ill behaviors, what did you do or not do, and how are we to learn prevention from another ER-type tragedy?

In my opinion, we can not just toss seriously mentally ill young adults out on the street with a hope and prayer that they make it and don't harm themselves or anyone else. That is just plain irresponsible. We are better than that. And another thing regarding parenting---some kids are easy to raise and some are a significant burden in many ways--that's the truth but as a parent, it is your responsibility to prevent destruction that your child may be willing to unleash into the world. Wishing you had a glamorous, intelligent, and balanced kid living the Hollywood dream does not mean it is true and does not mean you can throw them into an unsuspecting society. They don't have the tools to function and it equates to epic failure. All moo.

ER showed signs of significant mental illness ** to many people** for over a decade. He gave the clues, the warnings. People were too much in denial, were too busy, or just didn't know what to do.

I hope that in the midst of this tragedy, learning will come about.
