Why are we still talking about misogyny? ER killed twice his many men as women. He killed less women than Aaron Alexis, James Holmes, One L. Goh, Scott Evans Dekraai, Steven Kazmierczak, Eduardo Sencion, Cho Seung-Hu, Jared Loughner (who killed a girl and elderly women), Nidal Malik Hasan (who went on a rampage on an army base and still managed to kill more women than ER. NMH was shot by a women himself), and, of course, there's Adam Lanza.
What's more terrifying than these men's misogyny is their total indifference to whom they kill. Women, the elderly, and even children are not safe. We are all equal to them. Just bodies to add to their count. Our society has descended into the war of all against all.
I guess I'll need to raise my daughter to be like Katniss Everdeen.
[modsnip] this case involves not just mental illness and personality disorders, but also yes, misogyny and guns. The mods have ruled guns out for this thread, but ERs views on women - in his OWN WORDS, typed out as well as spoken on video - are fair game.
Some men and anti-feminists might like to hand-wave and say "no misogyny to see here, move along folks!", and you might be successful in directing this thread away from it, but thankfully there is a larger discussion going on in other places, where women's concerns and thoughts are not being dismissed so cavalierly.
