I'm from Canada, where LE never share case details unless they want tips. Mostly, they can get everything they need without public involvement.

Yup, same in the UK. It's radio silence from the police unless they're asking for witnesses or tips. They don't update the public or press on investigations.

Curiosa, I'm not feeling that scenario. If she was going in the WPP program, HP would have found an excuse to leave Seven with her ex husband and son. If she disappeared with the help of the Feds, the scenario of leaving the dog behind in the high rise would go against the grain of making her vanish without alerting anyone.
All very good points!

She seemed very normal to me in the video. I didn't see a woman in fear for her life or nervous about being in that alley with her dog.

MOO.
I agree. She looked like a woman out to let her dog poop, with a poop bag in her hand, and then return to wherever she had come from - be it the car or an apartment. MOO

Not targetting you on this, but just a general comment with regards to everyone's restlessness, including Heidi's friends: I want LAPD to get the evidence they need to explain exactly what happened and, IMO, convict the right person. If it means keeping their lips sealed for months, that's okay with me.

However, I'm from Canada, where LE never share case details unless they want tips. Mostly, they can get everything they need without public involvement.
We have an active approach here in support of victims here due to many issues. thank goodness. Canada seems to be changing in terms volunteer and of civil society engagement, especially in response to all the missing Indigenous women whose cases are neglected and ignored.
I interpreted that statement to mean please provide a clue, certainly not directed toward us, but update to the investigation. It seemed like a simple plea for some clarity.
Everybody wants the best and respects the work and role of LE. At the same time it is very odd not to have had any official comment or confirmation of her last known movements or sighting.
For example as CBS local pointed out, the official Missing Person poster and bulletin states that she was last seen in Downey! So if the public thinks that, why would they look at their videos or a chance encounter or something unusual that day in DTLA? That’s ridiculous.
That “bone” of confirming or acknowledging at least would be especially helpful in Heidi’s friends tireless search for her. That would be nice.

Ok, and this makes a great deal of sense. I've never liked the foul play scenario here, which is why I don't think I've even looked at this thread.

I've felt all along this was some sort of self contained event, like a mental health episode or something along those lines.

You have her being described as "edgy" during her son's game, her being in an area she had no business being, and the dog being placed in a fairly safe location as opposed to being abandoned on the road.

Wherever she went, I'm convinced she was alone.

Thanks for posting. I have been feeling this from the start but obviously couldn’t say so directly. Either drugs or some sort of mental health issue. It does explain some of the custody issues - why she might have had to fight so hard for 50/50, and why JW moved so quickly to get full upon her going missing. We obviously don’t know what has or is going on at home, but this situation has reminded me a lot of one close to my own family.

Totally agree. Plus the relative quietness from family and friends. The strange description of her talking to strangers on Melrose, etc.

I just can't believe her car hasn't been found yet; it's not as if it isn't conspicuous.

You'd think someone would have spotted it, it would be caught on surveillance video, or a license plate reader would have captured it.

Find that I think, and you find her.

I know. It is very strange. Maybe they have? I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s gone and chopped. There are though lots of remote options in California and neighboring places. Desert, Sierra Nevadas, Mexico, Pacific Crest Trail?

Geez,... how is it that the Daily Mail in the UK always seems to get these scoops?

If it is true that Heidi has had "psychotic breaks" she may very well be alive somewhere, may have driven off who knows where.

Because they’re willing probably to do dirty things to get these papers (if they’re not public, which I’m not sure of - I’ve expressed before my distaste for the media trying to get their hands on family law files, especially with kids involved).

Well, how do you make a picture out of all these dots? I hope she wasn’t kidnapped and there are just way too many loops to jump through for me to find another explanation at this juncture. I can see some plausible reasons for becoming a protected witness.
You’ll excuse me for not believing that she could casually leave her dog with her ex. Or who knows; as long as we are throwing possibilities out there, what if she did and he did not acquiesce?
As for your second point, Heidi may have intentionally alerted everyone to Seven being there with her stroll. She knew there are cameras everywhere. Just in case the 28th or 29th floor people or the Concierge who under normal circumstances would handle a lost dog in a luxury apartment messed that up. With the new time line, how in the world did they sort through the microchip so quickly if it took JW several days? In 30 minutes?
I still can’t fathom how they kept the dog in their apartment or Condo for 10 or 11 days. There are several great and easy online ways to post Found Pets. I’m sure her lucid friends were looking for him online.
It was JW who laid out the hall wandering story after all and it sounded like even he couldn’t wrap his head around it. Maybe I'm jaded but I just can’t take it at face value.
For the life of me I don’t understand why LE can’t make a statement to at least confirm or dispel simple, basic information for goodness sake.
Thank you for the feedback. It’s certainly a tragic mystery so far. I feel so sad for her suffering little boy.

In regards to the DM stink bomb-
That sounds like it was 7 years ago. On the surface, that sounds like a Bi polar crisis that she may have been self medicating back then.
If JW was worried about her well- being now. why was he planning on BW going to stay with her? Why didn’t he say he was concerned or mention it in the Custody petition?
This is a nasty trick. Surely it was sealed. I don’t think JW would leak this. Whose interests would it better serve is the question.

Geez, just what this case needs...another twist.

I was waiting for the details to be published. I read one of the court documents they mention that made clear there were personal issues involving HP.

This could very well be a mental health issue. Just a possibility and said with great compassion. This information definitely gives some context to this case.

I was thinking about another missing persons case we had here in LA in 2018. It was also here on WS. The guy who went missing was found a week later wandering the streets just blocks away from where his car was found and then hospitalized. LAPD said it wasn't a criminal matter in the end. It was clear what that meant.

MOO.

Was leaving her phone at home unusual for her? Was she meeting with someone in the apartment building? Has she visited the place/area before?
