The Mother was upset with LE because they were asking her WHY they had so many cars and how much did they cost. Maybe the perps knew this family had all the cars and just went there to steal one of them. They did go into the home just asking for the keys to the car! I just don't understand why they took the little boy.

hummmm....wondering if they wanted the keys to a specific car or just any car? Also wondering if this might have anything to do with "Pink Slip racing" where the winner of a car race wins the title to the losers car.

He is a beautiful child. I really don't see how they would mistake him for a girl though, as has been mentioned. I've worked in a school with many Hispanic children and long hair on young boys is very common.

This article is in Spanish BUT there is a Video (scroll down) in English that shows the House and neighborhood and a statement from Little Briant's brother...

http://noticias.aol.com/articulos/_a/california-buscan-a-nino-hispano-no/20090504132509990001

the news report said the mother ran down the street to the liquor store to use the phone...because they do not have a phone in the home....could that be why they took her cell phone....could they had already known that there was no other phone in the house.....that would give them some time to get away.....

After the Mother left the PD today she pleaded with the kidnappers and this is what she said:

"Please. I'm asking them to release my son," Millana said through uncontrollable sobs, clutching a blue T-shirt she said belonged to the boy. "Give him back to me. I don't owe anything."

Why would you say that?

that is an odd thing to say....isnt it...hmmm

and thanks for all the updates on the spanish news....:blowkiss:

The mother herself might not owe anyone, but the husband might? Just my first thought or someone?

Most likely so, I think. They knew or they figured it out. Possiblly she told them? This child needs to be found. Sorry, just getting some frustration out. Nite.

All of the kids being abducted, murdered, molested in this world is getting an awareness from the jq public I hope more than anything all can be found. Really getting sick of this. Hopefully, none of us shutup about this stuff. I don't, won't and can't. Yoohoo lawmakers...

I think you are right on Raindrops, it is a tradition for them. xox

Hi TakeNote, The case is so odd as the professional's tell us. Could it be they knew this because they were familiar or had knowledge of family patterns?

On HLN today there were several TH's who were quite vociferous in stating this was not a random crime. That is was pointed to this family to send a message to them or someone else they knew. I guess it is how these men do business in their sick way.

I am still bowled over that these men took so long in that house to do their thing. 20 min. That seems to be a loooong time to me - disorganized at best and playing it by ear, but with a goal in mind. And I think Briant might have been taken as a way to keep this mother from calling the police!

God Bless him tonight wherever he might be. :blowkiss:

Maybe the eldest brother who was not there. I think the 16 yr old was the second oldest, and he was not there either from a link I read, although on HLN they mentioned him as being there and taped up. Probably reporter error. xox

This is a little O/T but I was talking to one of the ladies at my grandsons Kinder this a.m. Just asked how she was doing. Said her hubby had to make emergency trip to Mexico because his Father died. Been gone 2 weeks because he did not have way back into US. ( I DID NOT KNOW they were here illegally) yet her kids go to school where my grandson goes. Anyway..She has to come up with $3000. to pay person bringing him back across border and that is not guaranteed they make it across
I know he doesnt make that kind of money PLUS he hasnt worked for over 2 weeks. I can see how people can get in debt and not be able to say anything for fear of being deported...So, this could be another scenario

wow....so sad Dolly....poor little briant...his moma looked so sad today...my heart ached for her...

i just wonder is it really worth coming to the usa.....what they have to go thru to get here...and then to be able to stay....and then go back and forth if they have to....its just crazy....this world is so messed up...there is no happy place anymore....every where...there is problems...no one is safe from all the crazy-ness....so so sad...ugg

...Authorities trying to find a 3-year-old California kidnap victim say 1 of several possible theories is the abductors had ties to organized crime in Mexico.

Authorities along the Mexican border are on alert and FBI agents are helping in the investigation into the disappearance of Briant Rodriguez...

I agree. Also, what she said could have been lost in translation..

I hope they just let him go, like Cole. Ugh. This situation is so frightening.
