Not really worth reading, IMHO.

Not news that Dina and Rebecca did not get along.

I was surprised at the vehemence and the fact that websleuths was quoted.

Seems like a lot of 'inside information' also. Wonder how JS will feel about the comments?!

Hmmm.... anyone else know any of that info or have a link to it?

Nothing that I have read here. Interesting concept that it may be DS however.

Possibly due to the fact that they were supposed to be present. Prescription Max was on, or used during intubation. Otherwise imho, the test would have been repeated, as is the course where I work.

TY Sunnie - I remember you explaining that sometimes when a patient is intubated, anti-anxiety medication is administered.

The ME's report stated that EMTs administered cardiotonic medications (which I assume are some form of adrenaline) and epinephrine (definitely a form of adrenaline) in an effort to restart his heart (and were successful).

The AR doesn't say anything about administering an anti-anxiety med @ the scene, nor does it mention intubation @ the scene.

In the AR, he was described as healthy prior to his accident, so I'm doubting a benzo RX.

I'm still wondering about the positive test for benzodiazepine.

While I've read the autopsy report where does it say that second benzo test was done on a different sample? Considering benzo prescribed for a variety of reasons, he could be healthy and still have a prescription, if it was not a false positive.

Oh yes, I see the responses now. I don't think it is DS but things said are definitely of DS's belief.

I believe the poster to be from Canada, as I can tell by various spellings, such as "behaviour."

I took the websleuths stuff to be about Rebecca's past of shoplifting.

If they didn't intubate him, they had no airway. I would be highly surprised if they worked for 25 minutes and did not. Hey, I was reaching, as xanax or another in that class, would probably not help with intubation, but maybe Max had a sleep disorder, or an anxiety disorder, if his parents were as 'physical' as has been reported. I truly have no explanation here. But benzos do not leave the system immediately, I would have to look up the 1/2 life, to know how long they take.

A child can be prescribed medications for a lot of reasons. We just don't know honestly, if Max took medications or if it was a true positive result.

JMO and experience, but I have worked LE in: County, City, State and now federal, in that order. At no time have I ever worked in a department where there was a big conspiracy or a large cover-up, to my knowledge. I think it would be hard to pull off, especially in a multi-agency situation, and a large public interest case. Sure, it CAN happen and I'm sure has happened...but I guess my question would be why in this case, and how would the powers that be that were influenced by mogul's $ or whatever, then have that "look the other way" manner of working trickle down through crime scene techs, several layers of supervisors, several detectives, the ME's office, probably the DA's office, etc.

I guess I'm just not seeing here on the case, yet, a good reason why so many people would put their own personal work up for scrutiny, for some powerful man who they probably never met. Most people want to be known for doing good work, and seeing justice done, especially (right or wrong) when a young child is involved.

Again, not saying it didn't happen that way, but I don't think so. Maybe fault a few people in missing certain details in their work, but that is different than turning the other way to actively participate in shoddy work.

JMO and putting the flame suit on.

What would happen if some very important details were missed in a highly visible case that is known around the world because of the internet?

to recapitulate what has been suspected many threads ago, the discussions up to now point to "undetermined" cause of death and therefore the case needs to be re-opened since the evidence can be for either voluntary suicide or "assisted involuntary suicide" or "assisted involuntary strangulation" alias murder

By the way, Rebecca's family attorney , News reporters and LEs should be contacted to read our posts here. We have a lot of budding sherlocks here that can help them build the case :rocker:

YES!!

Well we do have a policeman "onefoot" boot print right there on the balcony. What was he doing up there? I personally don't think it looks good for the investigation when they are presenting foot prints as evidence no one else was on the balcony and yet there is a boot print (from a policeman) right there.

jjenny, you get a gold star on the forehead for that one: :floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

So far on HLN, nothing about this. Vinnie Politan, 2 hours, nada. JVM on Issues is not showing anything related to this in her previews. Hmmmmm, wonder if they've been silenced.

Wow a lot of hatred is spewing in those posts toward Rebecca.

Wonder who else knows about tying sailing knots besides AS?

Good to have you here belimom. I've been wanting to invite you over to this Rebeccas thread because I know you have extensive experience in ropes & knots! I hope you stay with us!

Whoever said this is like a bad mystery novel, but you keep reading until you see how it ends, was spot on imho.

How could LE and the ME miss so many things in their investigation, after 7 weeks?

Hi, Sunnie...and everyone!!

That was me last night.:floorlaugh::floorlaugh:..once again you all have been busy...I have been reading to catch up....on page 31...

The discussion of the lenght of rope needed has/is interesting...

well, back to reading!!

:doh::juggle: Not sure who is making the comments, but they quoted websleuths. Which means they read and possibly posy under a nic here.:waitasec:

Wow! That is some tall allegations going on at that site.

IMO

My goodness scorekeeper, how could I have forgotten it was you!! Loved that comment and oh so true!!

This is just pure skeptical intuition, but I don't totally trust Sheriff Bill "I Invented Science" Gore. He's a company man par excellence, but his crime fighting skills? I don't know. 30 years in the FBI, yes, but I read in one of the sheriff's election debate transcripts that 2 of the 9/11 hijackers were right under his nose in San Diego but slipped through the net. He blamed the CIA.

This link was posted a few threads back but will post again as is pertinent to elementry's comment:
snipped : Gore is a member of the “good old boys’ network” of San Diego political corruption. : snipped

Gather your own opinion, but I recommend reading the article in full for an insight into [gotta love it!] Bill "I invented Science" Gore (Elementry, you crack me up :floorlaugh:

Just read it. Very interesting... I had no idea. Thanks for sharing. :)

When I read the article the first time you posted it, this is what stood out to me Carioca:
Bill Gore And Ruby Ridge Government Murders

More concerning, Gore’s record as an FBI employee is fraught with problems. He was the agent in charge for the Ruby Ridge FBI assault on Randy Weaver’s family that resulted in multiple fatalities, including the death by shooting of a mother holding a baby and a child shot in the back as he fled law enforcement gunfire. The government settled out of court with a $3.1 million award to Randy Weaver for the wrongful deaths of his wife and son.

Then it went on to talk about the 911 terrorists. Sheesh!

How is it that RadarOnline has the scoop on this case much of the time. Is it that the Zahau family or RadarOline's "exclusive source" have not contacted more mainstream media outlets? Why not talk to Diane Sawyer?

Still puzzled as to how Jonah Shacknai and LE decided from the get-go that RZ killed herself.

Can only guess that Shacknai told LE he received a message on his cell phone from RZ telling him that she was tethered up and about to hop off the balcony. But the message was erased.

  • #839
JVM on HLN just mentioned the case and invited the Shacknai family on.

I don't think you need a flame suit for voicing your [expert] opinion. You, as well as all of us, should be able to debate/state what's on our minds in a mature manner.

That said, would it be possible for LE to slant investigation in one direction or another due either to their beliefs or pressure from higher ups? It seems as if they pulled out all stops slanted towards suicide while not mentioning some pesky facts.

I thought at first she was murdered, now I'm on the fence. Perhaps it did happen as they theorized, it's possible, but is it probable? A few things need to be clarified for me to say one way or another.
