I was reading her best friend's Twitter page last night, i'll refer to her as "C", and on March 19, her friend says its not her phone, she could still have it with her.
I don't know what to make of that, maybe she did have more than one phone and did make plans with someone.

I couldn't find this. What time was this tweet posted?

There are many web sites where you can post secrets anonymously. How are we narrowing it down to a specific one?

re bold! :what:

It's a family joke that slipped out.

I have a 1 1/2 story bungalow. My niece lives with me and has the entire upper half story (45' X 20') to herself. My husband and I are both disabled, so our bedroom is on the main floor.

The three of us make all sorts of jokes about keeping her in the attic.

The reality is that her bedroom is far larger and plusher than ours. She's got a king sized bed, big rolltop desk, two armchairs, full length three mirror panel, etc. She has six windows and an enormous walk-in closet that is no doubt stuffed full of her clothes.

Or maybe not. I don't know how neatly she keeps her room nor do I want to. <snrk>

BBM

I agree with most of the above except for the statement I bolded.

I don't think any knowledge of the farm workers's schedule was needed. If the farm workers had been there, the perp would have just gone on.

Same as if one of the neighbours had happened to be pulling out of their driveway at that moment. Just abort for that day, try another day.

After all, there's nothing illegal about driving on a public road, even a cul-de-sac.

So I believe that looking for someone who knows the farm workers's schedule would be unnecessarily limiting the suspect pool.

Good point as to limiting the suspect pool. I just listened again to the video on post #255. The first thing he says is they are looking for clothing. He also won't comment on what side of the road the bag is found. I wonder if it is because they are thinking of the posibility of 2 perps being involved?

We have a member here that has had a paper route for decades. He assures us that it is much easier to throw something out of a moving car from the drivers seat, over the roof, then it is to throw it out the passenger seat window. Something about the arc and torque.

Are you talking about the phone or the bag? Because the bag would be difficult, if it had books in it...to throw very far at all...

Case Report - NamUs MP # 14258

Circumstances: Sierra was last seen on the morning of Friday, 03/16/12 by her mother as she was getting ready for school.

Sierra attends Sobrato HS in Morgan Hill, CA. A school friend stated she communicated with Sierra via text message on Friday 3/16/12 at approximately 0711 hours to meet before class started to discuss homework.

Sierra never made that meeting. Sierra also did not board the school bus she takes everyday which picks her up at 0735 hrs. Sierra was also absent from school all day, Friday 3/16/12. Many of her friends have been contacted by telephone and on Facebook to notify them Sierra has been reported as a missing person.

Sierra has never been a run away before and has not had any recent events in her life that would indicate she wanted to leave voluntarily.

Sierra grew up in the city of Fremont, California, where she attended grade schools and some high school prior to moving to Morgan Hill, California. Friends and family from the Fremont area have also been notified Sierra is missing, as well as Fremont Police Dept.

I don't see a time. There were a lot of tweets that day but if you find one from initials AL and go 2 up you'll find it.

but as we have found out in the last couple of days that she DID have plans to meet "someone" before school re homework... thought I'd mention that, since you might have missed it being posted!! :seeya:

okay... back to :lurk: mode...

I did read that information. And I took it as meaning she was going to chat with someone before the start of class to discuss schoolwork. But this was going to be occurring at the school before classes started. Which I took as meaning before her first class of the morning. Which I took as meaning she had no other plans except going to school that morning.

Sounds like a possibly a rumor? LE would have ruled that out.

She's her best friend and she mentions having lengthy interviews with LE. They may have shown her a photo of the phone they found. I don't think her best friend would say it wasn't her phone if she wasn't sure.

I just wanted to mention since you posted this photo. There were others back in threads questioning whether she had a webcam. This photo to me clarifies she took it with a webcam. Has anyone found that she has a Skype account?

How could LE rule out whether or not she had another phone, if it was Trafone or a disposable?

Need a date on that tweet please. :)

Back when Sierra first went missing there was discussion that it wasn't her phone---it was her phone---it wasn't her phone.

IIRC and it would be in an article dated within a few days of the phone being found it was her reported that her family ID'ed her phone as hers.

So maybe a spare phone for some reason? I don't see her having it to hide anything because it doesn't seem like her parents policed her phone or internet activity.

Who would she be talking with. Everyone that knows Sierra hasnt had any contact with her since she went missing.

imo

I won't try to get into a peeing contest here over how easy it is, I will say for 19 years that was the easiest, and most efficient way for me to get the job done and back to my other job, take it for what it's worth, I seldom ever stopped or even slowed down to launch a 30+ pound bundle over the roof unless the banding was weak or some other reason to get out of the vehicle.

I planned my stops so that the store front I was delivering to would be on the right side of my truck in most cases unless the bundle was small, such as some very remote stores in small viallages. I can remember on one particular morning just as winds were moving in from an oncoming storm that I threw a bundle over the roof of my truck and didn't see it land. On my return trip I looked again for it, then spotted it on the store roof. The wind had caught it and carried it there. :floorlaugh:

No peeing contest and I'm not trying to say I'm right...just discussion...It's great and valuable to get everyones viewpoint and experiences. It's an interesting topic and I'm glad people took interest in sharing their experiences.

I did just try it. There is no way I could personally do it. It probably would only make it past the passenger side of the car (I drive an SUV). I kept hitting my forearm on the window frame. At 30 mph the wind would carry the phone backwards, making a direct throw of 30-40 feet very difficult. I'm 5'9 so I feel like I've got a good arm length.

But that is just me...I wanted to share that with you all. fwiw

Upthread, I suggested that it's possible she could've had a relationship with someone no one knew about. She could've easily concealed that using a disposable phone. ETA: My point being we can't assume we know the whole story just because she didn't leave a trail on SM.

I don't think it's safe to assume a teen wouldn't hide anything just because they didn't think mom and dad were watching.

Well, if she had a disposable phone, for instance, it would probably be to talk to someone who is not one of her known friends...anyway I am not saying he she did or did not. But she could have had one...and if it was a phone she used to talk to the person who took her, for example, they would not exactly come forward. JMO
