But I have seen them do so in many other cases. In Sherri Papini case for example, we were all looking sideways at her husband. And LE kept pronouncing him as innocent, pretty early on, by saying his alibi was valid.

And I have seen it done many times when kids go missing. They often pronounce the parents as 'cleared' pretty early to protect them from public bashing etc.
I have not seen where LE declares someone "innocent"during an ongoing investigation. They may say the alibi checks out and a person may not be a suspect at "this time". The media is known for misinterpreting events and when they summarize they could have used those words, but not LE. JMO

The last article on Will by [email protected] was in the Santa Clarita Valley Signal on Feb 10,2017. In the article they showed a picture of the white vehicle they called an suv. The picture came from the video of the resident across the street. It is sunny and dry at 4.00 pm pacific time.

There is nothing new in the local paper. I contacted the journalist on Facebook and asked some questions. I'll let you know if I hear back and share things that are allowable on WS.
"Hi Jim
I read your article about William Cierzan in the Signal. I live a block from him and I am a member of the crime "solving" website Websleuths.com. We are all perplexed, as I am you are too, about Will's disappearance and the lack of information from law enforcement. A local member went to the SCV Sheriff Station and asked about the case and was told they were unaware. Wth? It's 2 mikes from their station. Same member has been walking the riverbeds and back areas all over SCV looking for clues. Why haven't they said if the Cierzan nephew is a POI? What type of blood was found by LE that the wife didn't notice when she got home?
Why haven't there been any organized searches or Canine SAR? The member of our group said the neighbor with the video camera surveillance said they were never interviewed by Law Enforcement. Do you have any insight? I can't post speculation on websleuths but personally I'm interested if you have a theory. Here is the link to William's thread if you would like to see it. You can be a certified member about this case if you want by contacting the administrator.
Thanks

I have read and seen that it was the neighbor who lives in the next house to WC who said LE has never asked him what he heard and saw. Not the neighbor opposite with the surveillance video, He most likely has been interviewed by LE, jmo

You would think that LE would have spoken to every neighbor.

I would think LE would be talking to more than just one neighbor....but what do I know...

I agree, I really don't understand it either.

OK, but that's my point. I haven't heard them say that the family member , who was reportedly the last person to see Will, is 'not a suspect at this time.'

I did something similar yesterday and reached out to someone and Asked why LE is not that involved and I came up with this insight. I feel families that push LE and media seem to get better results. Like SP, LS, now MG case I see getting LE on board. Families that are quiet and don't push seem to get left behind. I know if someone in my life goes missing I am going to make sure everyone knows about The case and get the word out so much that it becomes a priority. The only other reason I can think of for it being so quiet is they know who did it and have to wait for forensics.

I am sure the men working the case are very experienced. I think they are trying to track where the white vehicle went after it left Wills house. They are locating tapes and processing them. It may help them narrow the search area for Will. After this period of time there may not be much left of him.

I'm sure that the detectives are working the case. My issue is that they are at least an hour away in Monterey Park so how often are they even here? I agree that families who stay involved with the media get more attention. I have not seen or heard anything about this case and I'm local. If it were my husband I would even have a sign on my front lawn asking for info.

This rain I was trying to beat, first wave has been brutal. I live on the top of a hill, 1/3 acre backyard and (3) 3" drains were not keeping up. I spent 23 minutes at 1 point, scooping a 5 gallon bucket every 5 seconds out onto my RV driveway from these drains as I had 1 more inch of exposed cement slab before my house flooded out. I don't want to violate any rules, but this video if it plays is 100 yards up river from my search behind Cinema Drive businesses:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-BpcXkuhn0&feature=youtu.be

This still picture is on Hasley Cyn. where I went to the end of the asphalt cannot be traveled.

Thursday before I left to search, I called Det. Ralph Hernandez, went to voice mail. I couldn't wait. Around 1:30 pm he did return the call, but this was my longest last day before the rains. He did not call on Friday. I won't give up, but I might not have as much to post.

Short 2 hours between rain cells....all in Castaic. Off Castaic Rd., Tapia Cyn. & Charlie Cyn. (Note: (6) 3 ft. tubes with running water under Tapia Cyn). Ridge Route Rd. above Northlake Hills Elementary School to the largest water tank. The satellite view does not show the nearly 200 ft. slope on the east side of this road, heavy dump area. Sloan cyn. rd is NOT maintained by the county public works so I didn't check that out.

On a local closed FB group concerning emergencies, a step relative has been speaking for family members. I have sent a PM offering any of them to give me some insight and go with me on my searches. I asked this person to arrange this help, they saw the message but choose to not participate......1. He's still missing.
And his nephew didn't do this. He loves his uncle. They're very close.
His wife spoke to him after his nephew left. He was fine.
Whether they try to pin this on his nephew or not. It's complete bull****. This is my family and I know them all personally. 2. All of us are deeply taken back by all of this. It doesn't make since knowing Will's character. And I know my step brother, (his nephew) wouldn't hurt his uncle. They were best buds.
It's a complete mystery and We can't believe its happening.

I went back and re-read all posts. I read that WC did speak to his wife around 4pm, and I had read that he told his wife the nephew had gone home. So what happened to WC ? Because the person who is seen on the video, backing up to the garage was only there for about 5 or 6 minutes ? Why is LE asking the public for help, when they are saying nothing at all about the case ? Really strange, jmo Also, I think the blood forensics would be back by now ?

Just listened to the press conference. I am thinking that
Will's wife was standing next
to her sister. And Will's oldest sister ( the blonde) was over standing by the blow up photo of Will.

The picture of the vehicle is very distinctive. They said "a family member" owns one that looks a lot like the one in the picture.

I do not recall Will's wife saying the nephew had been over watching golf with Will. The detective did say "the family member" made a statement. Could that statement have been about watching golf with his uncle?

I wonder if the detectives asked if they could search the inside of this "family member's" truck?

They know. The wife, her sister and Will's sister know more than they
are letting on. The detectives too.
They just need to find Will's body.
IMO.

Could be. But finding a body in that terrain ? Might not happen for years. Wonder if scent dogs/cadaver dogs were taken through the house and yard . And to the family members truck ? I had read here on the first few threads that WC's wife did say that he told her their nephew had left the house when Will began to prepare dinner at 4pm ish.

Possible LE could make a case without a body ? The blood analysis should be back now ?

My recollection is the wife did not know that the nephew had visited. Wills sister volunteered that info.
I drive past their house in my tract daily. So sad.

Short 2 hour search with drizzle. I did place my second phone call to Det. Ralph Hernandez 1 hour earlier than the first one and it too went to voice mail. No return call at the time of this posting. North on Sierra Hwy. from Soledad Cyn. rd. Most businesses have fencing preventing access to back property. The couple of locations I know of are unlikely drop points in this case. Went north of Vasquez cyn. rd. to the "halfway house café" seen in many movies. Took Vasquez cyn. for the second time heading west stopping at places not walked on day 1 posting. Very little traffic, many drop locations. This is one of the most secluded stretches of road in close proximity to a family living location. I have looked again today in this living location for any vehicle resembling the one in the 5:06 to 5:12 video as the 2 car garages have NO doors and parking is over crowded on the street.....my assumption, white vehicle might have been impounded and still is or at some unknown friends location. I agree with what SmartSassyBBW posted above this. I drove past today also and see that it appears that Linda is home today. I have not and will not stop to ask questions....I don't feel a male should do this, but it might be more acceptable and proper if a female asked questions.

HERESAY & MY THOUGHTS follow: I'm starting to think that an unlocked dumpster could have been the drop location which means I had no chance for a solution in this case...the first week, they all would have been disposed of. In our community, all of our home trash is sorted, but I am not sure if dumpsters go direct to land fills. All of my searches "assumed" a single person in the white SUV which kept my search to a location for easy roll out of 140# bundle with easy dragging or down hill roll. But if the video is edited from the time stamping and perhaps "narrowed", even though I believe the neighbor claims it is SIMILAR to a family members and I thought LE asked about identifying occupant(s), if there was a second person from 5:06 to 5:12, then the bundle could be more easily lifted or carried a longer distance than I have looked. With all this time walking, I questioned whether I overlooked or didn't look far enough.

The amount of effort you've put forth for this cause is very admirable....just wanted to reiterate that your efforts are appreciated!
