Something that strikes me. If the building with the house builders had been held that day at the Sherman house, instead of at Apotex, then both the Sherman’s would have already been in the house that evening, after the meeting ended. Because the meeting was held at Apotex, it would be certain that HS would leave the meeting and eventually drive home, presumably arriving before BS arrived home. Maybe the killers didn’t want to have them both at home at the same time that night, maybe the key was having HS home alone. Perhaps because she knew the people who were the killers (although she wouldn’t suspect they were there to kill her) and would give them access to the house; perhaps because she was more easily overpowered because she was home on her own. Is it possible that LE should investigate more closely who actually set up the meeting at Apotex that day? Having the meeting at Apotex ensured HS would be home alone after the meeting.Other than BS leaving work earlier than usual, it seems as though HS was the one whose behavior changed somewhat prior to that fateful day, imo, speculation.

The mystery of who killed a billionaire couple has turned siblings against each other and confounded a nation
Barry and Honey Sherman were discovered by the swimming pool at their luxury Toronto estate, and their murders have confounded detectives for over five years. Could a multi-million-dollar reward now unlock the case? WARNING: Readers might find some details in this story distressing.www.abc.net.au
''The Shermans' strange final days
In the days leading up to the murders, the Shermans' behaviour struck the people who knew them as a little odd.
Honey failed to show up to a charity board meeting — highly unusual for the punctual and reliable philanthropist.
The CEO of the charity sent her an email asking if she was okay, and she responded that she was "dealing with some stuff".
''The next day on December 13, the couple was spotted looking over blueprints for the new house at Apotex HQ before heading home for the evening.
Barry sent one email that night to an employee about a minor work matter and then fell silent.
The insomniac workaholic usually sent a string of emails into the early hours of the morning.
This would be the last time anyone heard from the Shermans''
''There were no signs of forced entry, but the family pointed out that a window was found open and a door unlocked.
Marks on the body suggested they had had their wrists bound with zip ties, and the pathologist concluded Honey had likely been killed in another part of the house and dragged down to the pool.''
It is a mockery. It also indicates someone previously visiting their house and probably not thinking much of their taste. However, people could have visited as potential customers as the Shermans were selling the house. MOO, it doesn’t necessarily indicate relatives. It could have been anyone hating them.I have too always thought of an involvement of relatives of the deceased: this staging of their bodies should indicate to us relatives.

Maybe someone suggested she do so?Honey moved it to Apotex.
Most likely Barry suggested it. When Honey set the new location for the meeting, she told the builders that Barry needed to work late. It was easier to meet there so he could attend the meeting and finish up his work, rather than spending time driving home and then driving back to the office. This was before the days of Zoom meetings.Maybe someone suggested she do so?
But BS didn’t in fact work late that day. He left Apotex early that day, at least compared to his well established work routine. Did HS lie to or mislead the builders? Most likely Barry suggested it. He left at his normal time: 8pm or a bit later. That was his well established work routine according to everyone in a position to know. But BS didn’t in fact work late that day. But wasn’t it established that BS was to be home earlier than “normal” that day? Either HS or BS said it to the builders AFAIK that he had to get home “early” that night?Following up on my last post rather than trying to edit: the only people who have ever suggested that Barry worked at the office until 11pm were the people in the meeting that Wednesday afternoon. I believe they misunderstood whatever Honey said that evening about Barry’s work habits. The ITOs make it clear that people who knew his routine said he left the office around 8pm or a bit later, and continued to send emails from his house late into the night. In particular, the head of security said his routine was like clockwork: he left at 8pm.
Here are some news stories from before the “came home early” idea became conventional wisdom.
TorStar: Sherman’s colleagues and friends say the company founder talked as if he was just getting started, not as if he had run a successful business for 43 years. A typical work day started at 10 or 11 a.m. (an insomniac, he slept best in the early morning hours) but went until 8 or 9 p.m., when he went home. But it was not unusual for Sherman to fire out emails throughout the night, which employees and executives would wake to receive. Or if they were working at the Apotex plants in India, respond during work hours due to the time difference.
Maclean’s: Honey never complained, says a friend. When she did gripe, it was in a half-joking way about her husband’s work schedule: seven days a week, 10 to eight.
No. One of the builders told police that Honey had said something that made him think Barry needed to be home before 11pm, but he could not remember what it was. All three of them told police that one of the Shermans had mentioned that Barry worked until 11pm.But wasn’t it established that BS was to be home earlier than “normal” that day? She told them that Barry had to work late, so the meeting would be at Apotex. It would be interesting to know what explanation she provided for moving the meeting?
I have difficulty believing that every one of the people in attendance at that meeting have 100% lack of recall when it comes to that comment. They are builders and architects, detail oriented professions, and none of them remember? I think LE knows what was said and are choosing not to disclose it.No. One of the builders told police that Honey had said something that made him think Barry needed to be home before 11pm, but he could not remember what it was. All three of them told police that one of the Shermans had mentioned that Barry worked until 11pm.
Donovan’s last set of podcasts included a description of his efforts to get the builders to talk to him, begging them to rack their brains about why Barry would have needed to go home early.
Speculation: the builders never imagined that their fuzzy memories would be elevated above the observations of people who actually knew Barry’s routine (and the video evidence showing when his car left the parking lot on any given evening). It never occurred to them that this throwaway guess would form the foundation for an entire theory published over and over in national media. They didn’t ask questions about whether working until 11pm meant staying at the office or sending emails from home.
You're talking about the builders/architects in that meeting but they're not the only ones saying that. The *only* people who have ever said he worked at the office until 11pm are the three people in that meeting (and KD, who immediately latched onto it and ignored everyone else’s description). None of them were in any position to know.
