Completely out there thought of the day. I find it weird all three “confirmed” spottings end in LAKE

Cold lake
Meadow lake
Split lake

...
Dease Lake

I know for sure 100% in bc and Alberta if you have a fleet card you can get fuel at anytime. What are the chances they have one-not likely but just wanted to add this in there. And actually I should say I know for sure in fort Nelson, fort St. John, Dawson creek, bc and grande prairie, ab this works. It’s not too hard to get a fleet card and the one I’m referring to can be used at a few different stations (I assume they are all owned by the same company but under different names).

The latest on Kapuskasing BC fugitives tip: OPP says vehicle has not been located. It's still unconfirmed who might have been in it. Police continue to follow up on any new information. OPP urging people to report possible sightings directly to police... and not to social media.

RCMP in BC say they would be notified almost immediately if another police force took the suspects into custody.

Good luck finding one of those old vehicles that is still on the road.
Another thing to consider-the majority of “work trucks” in bc and Alberta (I can’t say for the other provinces) have tidy tanks with fuel in them and some are locked, a lot aren’t. They usually carry diesel specifically but I know some have gas as well and it’s marked on the outside. Once again, unluckily but something to consider.

A pocket tool, like a swiss army knife, but not in a plastic case, usually.
It’s a folding knife. Kind of like a Swiss Army knife (if that’s the term) but more advanced. There are several tool bits, a little saw, can opener, bottle opener, nail/wood file, small knives and larger ones etc. Most people in northern B.C. have them. Any man I know does in their truck at least. Super handy!!! (And if there is a case it’s used to clip to their belt or no case at all)

There are lakes all over up north.

Canadian Shield geography has lakes in the lakes. So much water. In geologic terms it’s because the shield has “deranged drainage systems”, which completely cracks me up as a serious term.

Went to work today, I live in Ontario as I've stated before, not one single co-worker had heard of this case even though it's a full on multi-province manhunt and all over national news.

Anyhow lots of local chatter now even though I am many hundred of kilometers away from the alleged sightings. (889km)

I really hope it's not a bunch of hoaxes and more of the LE time gets spent on these leads.

At this point it's not far fetched to think that they have not been in MB for a few days. They perhaps have been laying low and only traveling at night.

They may have multiple gas cans, we never saw video of them "filling up" at gas stations? All speculation.
So interesting that so many here have become fixated on this case and many locals in Ontario are oblivious to the Canada Manhunt for these 2 suspects!

Clearly nobody has any answers on what the possible end game for these two suspects might be. But I wonder if they aren't just trying to make it from one side of Canada to the other and somehow they came up with a path that made sense to them? Their path east was fairly clear except they probably underestimated the challenges of rural Manitoba and a very determined RCMP.

I'm not a gaming person but it seems like in most games there is always a beginning, lots of challenges in the middle as you work hard to make progress in order to get to the end and then you reach the summit/end.

Just a random thought I had as I am trying to figure out if these 2 are alive or dead! If they are still alive, I don't think they are just randomly driving/walking around. Sure they are exhausted and physically depleted and probably hungry etc. but they seem to be determined to accomplish something. I don't know what this might be obviously but my understanding is that games are task driven with a specific near term goals to be achieved. Once you achieve a goal you move on to the next goal and on.

All we really know is the beginning of their journey, where they have traveled so far, the location of the burned out RAV4 and the sightings in Gillam. They seem quite determined to head east IMO for some reason.

Wouldn't the van that Lucas Fowler was driving fall into that category? Maybe they have an eye for that kind of thing. I have one sitting on the side of my house right now.

Of course, they'd need a bit of tubing and a gas can - not noted by the First Nation constables who stopped them.

This is why the media needs to pick there headlines more carefully. Watching the videos a few times Alan Schmegelsky did not say blaze of glory, the media used that term to paraphrase how they saw fit, but that term seems to be what people form their opinion on.

Well, I know you believe it was a paraphrase. But just because it wasn't aired does not mean it is a paraphrase. It was put in direct quotes which indicates he said those exact words to a reporter.

That doesn't mean that he isn't prone to hyperbole, of course.

Did you see the photo of where they were driving in Cold Lake when they got stuck ? It wasn't even a road! And this was before they were media headlines.

No, I don't believe they are cruising construction zones, flipping workers off. MOO
BBM

heh,heh... Or fingering them.

In order to stay hidden this long-- they're probably avoiding main highways.

I've gotten to the point now where I don't even pay attention to anything that Bryers father says. Especially after the whole book thing.
I think his 'situation & chatterings'
is iall about him and not about his son at all.

Yeah. Fair point. However, others have made statements indicating there was something off with these two. And they are wanted for murder. So I;m going with yes, these two showed signs of trouble brewing and the RCMP haven't pulled their charge or suspicions from out of nowhere.

He never said he thought his son would die in a blaze of glory. The media put that spin on his words.
For whatever reason that’s his alone Alan Schmegelsky doesn’t seem to have much faith in the “system”, knowing that his son is accused of murdering three people it seems to me that his lack of faith prompted his comments as to why his son would be dead tomorrow. He doesn’t seem to believe that they could remain at large, instead believing the police would have them with a day and because his son and Kam are accused of such brutality AS seems to believe that police would not be at all hesitant to shoot. As to the mention of a suicide mission maybe the father thinks it was sheer stupidity of his son to run instead of staying to deal with whatever happened.
The media often get it wrong but MOST of us saw the actual footage of the dad, Alan Schmegelsky used that phrase.
At this link - https://infotel.ca/newsitem/father-...cts-son-will-go-out-in-blaze-of-glory/it64300
the video has been replaced by a still picture of RCMP Assistant Commissioner Kevin Hackett instead of Alan Schmegelsky's highly emotional outburst about his son. No one is making this up, the comments at the end of the article confirms what AS said, Bryer will go out in a 'blaze of glory!' The dad is a mess and no one needs to make anything up with concerns to him, he should never have been interviewed in his state. JMO

Which is why they're even more dangerous than just fugitives who don't want to wind up in prison.
They're prepared to die in a shootout.
In a way it's sad that two young lives could end up this way.

But my thoughts and sympathies are with the families of the victims.
I can't imagine.
