obviously there was indeed a surveillance camera there, just like there was one that filmed them from above walking through the aisles
No store would put a surveillance camera low. I have never been to a store that did that. They are high for a reason, so that they can cover a wide area, and they cannot be damaged or altered, especially one sitting outside of a store. This wasn't a typical surveillance camera recording.

For anyone still wondering what it's like up there, here's a brief look at "Quest for the Bay", filmed in 2001.

In the next episode, the York boat crashed in the rapids.

Thanks for this! I'm definitely going to watch it.

After the remains were aboard, RCMP ERT members in plain clothes who had been part of the search teams crossed the tarmac to board the same planes for Winnipeg. #canadamanhunt

Hello new here, only found this place a few days ago and joined to follow along this case.

I can't remember where I read it but I'm positive sometime in the last couple of weeks I read that some of the security footage in Meadow Lake was taken from an ATM, so could explain it looking like it was filmed at waist level. Again, I can't remember the source so may not be accurate but something to consider I suppose.

Welcome! Glad you came to visit. It's a very good group that's been following this terribly sad case. Everyone is friendly here and helpful.

The footage is of them walking outside of the store. They put a black bar over one of the staff in the store, who looks like they are operating a cash register. There wouldn't be an ATM sitting on the sidewalk in front of the store, that would block people's ability to go in and out.

The video footage is from two locations in the store. One of them walking through the store (the "ATM camera") and the other is of them walking out of the store. It's been posted many times here.

The area of the Nelson River that is in the “general vicinity” of where the bodies of B.C. triple murder suspects Bryer Schmegelsky & Kam Mcleod were found by RCMP in MB. The area is dense bush and mist - can’t see any police activity. https://www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/article-two-bodies-thought-to-be-bc-fugitives-found-in-northern-manitoba/ … #canadamanhunt

The location on the map linked above totally jives with the video at the link below of the area....fwiw

Joe Scarpelli on Twitter

Yeah, more or less. But far more detailed maps have been posted here. And also, that instagram map doesn't show the correct location for the burned out vehicle. It was right at Sundance, not at Bird.

The Australian 60 minutes looks way more sensationalistic than the US one.

Wow. I just now got this news. So they tried to flee in a boat and drowned probably?
See post #850... that scenario makes a lot of sense... and for them to end up together in the bush, they’d have had to get their on their own power, or at least one dragging the other... (?)

I wish I hadn't seen those pics of the metal boxes being loaded onto the planes. Sickening and horribly sad. I hope the families don't get to see that. ANY of the families...
