With the greatest respect to the gentleman from Cold Lake, he adds to his story every time he tells it. Surely one of the lessons of this case is that the “eyewitness” accounts, especially to journalists, are not reliable.
I’m not saying that anyone is lying, only that people have a tendency to say what they think the listener wants to hear, or what an interviewer leads them into.
Unfortunately, we don’t have the RCMP statements taken from all these people, but I suspect that they read rather differently.
