Multiple? Link please. Other than by the Maclean’s staff writer, what different photographs have been published?

The links have been posted and I’m too tired to go and dig them up now but two Australian outlets saw the keys (I believe only one reported it) and the globe and mail also posted a picture of the keys. I don’t know who Maclean is?

I'm in no way trying to be rude, but this has been gone over repeatedly today. @aphoto has explained that more than one reporter saw the keys (can't recall if aphoto saw it for themselves or not)... there was even a tweet today from one of the only remaining reporters there...

RCMP searchers have wrapped up their search of the Nelson River shoreline and bush. They are now at the site of the torched SUV, where bits of metal and scorched keys had remained #canadianmanhunt #canadamanhunt

Thanks, yes the key issue is pretty well documented in here now. I didn’t personally see the keys however I didn’t spend much time in the area the RAV4 was burnt. Just enough time to get an understanding of that area before going off to other places in the area to report. I do personally know 3 people who have seen the keys first hand and heard their reports of it.

Well here's everything anyone could possibly need to know about the Rav 4 but my eyes still glaze over in trying to decipher whether Professor Dyck's 2011 model had a diesel or gas engine. On the one hand, I can imagine that BS and CM might consider to be a good vehicle to hoist, given that they might not have far fewer fuel stops when on the lam (and as I recall, it was mentioned at one point that there were a number of fuel canisters in Professor Dyck's car.) On the other hand, access to gasoline didn't seem to be much of a challenge to them. They certainly used ample amounts of it in the torching of the two vehicles.

The Rav4 did not have a diesel engine.

"The third generation RAV4 (2005 - 2016) is offered in two versions: a short- or a long-wheelbase model. The short-wheelbase model is sold only in Japan, Europe and New Zealand (diesel only in NZ), with the long-wheelbase RAV4 sold in Australia, New Zealand and North America.

No manual transmission or diesel engines are available on North American models.'"

Thank you--that makes sense! That's Jinx from League of Legends, apparently KM's favorite character from his favorite game.
I have no idea what any of that means LOL (not a gamer). Is there a significance to Jinx persona? (In ten words or less? LOL)

That "face" pic you mentioned as being their last gaming posts to each other appears to be the same as on Kam's Insta, 2nd row, 3rd column, and it says "Kill Em" :(

That photo is simply a video game character with some words attached.
There is no reason to believe it has anything to do with anything. Plus is was posted 4 years ago on that insta account.
Whoever is claiming they know what the last things sent between the two of them were really has no way of knowing that unless they are logged into their accounts somehow and if that's the case, I'd be questioning how they are in there.

No.

I'm not really either. LOL

She apparently has a persona as a ruthless killer.

I'm sure a lot of people are Jinx fans and don't end up becoming murderers, so that on it's own probably doesn't mean anything, but some of us were speculating last night there may have been some warning signs about KM that were brushed over since otherwise he was well-behaved, polite, and friendly and apparently didn't have BS's reputation for more worrying behavior, like threatening classmates.

At this time aphoto is an anonymous WS member, not a source.

The reporter who’s credited with the original photo is not declaring the keys were found days later so unless more information is forthcoming, unless Renata states she personally saw the keys on the ground days later as well, there isn’t enough facts to push the runaway train into the territory that its taking IMO.

I look forward to my status changing. I have no idea how long the process takes but I have sent the email. I have spoken to the person who took one of the images of the keys that is circulating and they state that they were still there as of just a few days ago. Not sure how I can further prove that without outing myself publicly which I don’t desire to do. I don’t need to prove anything to any of you. Believe what you want

EDIT: One of Renata’s latest tweets says
“RCMP searchers have wrapped up their search of the Nelson River shoreline and bush. They are now at the site of the torched SUV, where bits of metal and scorched keys had remained” seems pretty clear she is confirming the keys were there until very recently.

W're talking about Steam communications posted publicly on BS's wall from June 4 a few weeks ago before they left on their trip, not Instagram. It could be nothing, but it might not be.

They robbed two people who were stranded on the side of the road. Then they shot them. 4 days later, they stole a vehicle from another man, and they killed him. Then they went on the run, eventually ending up on the Nelson River East Sundance, Manitoba. Their bodies were found earlier this week.

Ok thank you!

That may be, but I seem to remember a comment by the Jade City Store owner that she (or her daughter?) saw the pair hitchhiking later, one on each side of the road. I can't for the life of me find that quotation now...

I saw that, too! I can dig through my, ahem, archives and see if I can find it.

What happened to tourist couple found dead on Alaska Highway?

This early article has Chynna's brother saying this:
Deese's brother said the pair were found brutally murdered, and most of their belongings left behind.

Robbery? Maybe?

If they were trying to hitchhike, this could give a whole new view to what was happening for them at the time! I want to read about this, but have to pay to read it :( PressReader.com - Your favorite newspapers and magazines.

Phew. Thanks for that. So that idea can finally be put to rest. Now, my next question might be, assuming that the Professor's vehicle's tank was topped up when they stole it, how many more fuel stops would probably be necessary between Dease Lake BC and Gillam MB. At the very least that could put to rest any rumours about how many persons were travelling in the Rav 4.

Apparently the Australian press had a reporter stalking him for the last 2 weeks, and that reporter was with him when he was told his son had died. The Australians seem to think his raw reaction is fair game for TV, but it is pure exploitation.

"60 Minutes reporter Sarah Abo has spent the last two weeks with Alan Schmegelsky as the distressed father grappled with questions about his son's last days alive.

Abo and her team were with him in the minutes after he received news the bodies of his son and 19-year-old Kam McLeod had been discovered."

Father of accused Canadian teen killer defends his son after bodies found

I'm not allowed to write here the string of profanities that I'm saying in my head after reading that. What is wrong with these reporters?! Have they no shame at all?! Vultures.

You say potatoes...

Well, I just would rather not see people thinking that anyone who uses an air soft gun is using it as a 'starter' gun, but sure to each their own.

No :/ That’s pretty vulture-like...
