Yeah the story is fine, it's the internal Esso email I haven't seen that in MSM anywhere?

Early photo of burnt truck with closed hood actually supports my hunch that the fire was started inside the camper. A second fire was inside the cab. The tires probably got burnt by fire creeping under the dash from inside the cab.Early pictures of the truck show it with the hood closed. It’s only after they started processing the truck that images, with the yellow evidence markers, show it with the hood open.
Not sure if this has been shared already, but I think I saw someone asking about why they hadn’t been spotted in gas stations en route? Apparently, these photos of Kam were taken at Abasand Esso in Fort Mcmurry, Alberta
EDIT: oops, Fairview, not Fort Mcmurry!
Sorry, can’t locate it.Yeah the story is fine, it's the internal Esso email I haven't seen that in MSM anywhere?
They won't.LOL I think I'll wait and see if the RCMP "confirm" it. LOL
When the Fairview sighting was first discussed, it was said to have been on July 20th.
It took Abasand Esso until Aug 1 to send this memo to inform staff??
I also do not think that is a Rav 4 in the picture, the roof racks more resemble a mini-van. JMO

Top surface of hood and some areas of side panels still show white paint, so the fire didn't yet engulf the whole truck before firefighters put it out.
a 2011That is almost certainly a Rav4, probably a 2011 or 2012 (I know my Toyotas LOL). Not sure if it was ever released what year Len's was?

I agree, but it is human nature to find something you share in common with the victims. We follow some murders more than others. Why? For the same reason people here make themselves part of the story by recalling their own personal experiences ...
When did the RCMP finish processing the scene of LF/CD's murders?
It sounds like for KM/BS to be in Fairview, Alberta on July 20 (Manhunt suspects previously spotted in Fairview: RCMP), they would have driven back by the first crime scene on July 19/20, not sure which day. So, around the same time that the story about the identities of the victims started breaking.
I've always thought that they wanted to engage LE, or else it's like playing a video game alone.Ironically it was the burning vehicle that brought immediate attention to their disappearance. If they were looking to buy time they could’ve driven to a private campground, paid a few days fee and nobody would’ve been the wiser they were long gone and the next camping fee was due. Or just parked in the bush, until somebody noticed and reported the truck and camper abandoned, it would’ve went unnoticed. Smoke and fire is guaranteed to create attention at some point in time and a vehicle burning in the bush would not just burn itself out without spreading to adjacent areas. That’s just the nature of fire and why wood is well known to be used in campfires.
That’s one of the puzzling aspects to this case, the burning of vehicles, not once but twice.
There’s something very unusual about this photo of the burned truck which doesn’t make any sense. Notice the vegetation and trees including the green weeds right behind the truck box which the camper was sitting atop of...that reportedly melted due to the high intensity heat? JMO but the site of the burning truck and camper can’t have been exactly where some of the media reports state, at the same site as this photo. I think it was towed out of the deeper bush.

THANKS so much for this, great find! Not sure if this has been shared already, but I think I saw someone asking about why they hadn’t been spotted in gas stations en route? Apparently, these photos of Kam were taken at Abasand Esso in Fort Mcmurry, Alberta

Thanks for clarifying! The truck in this link is the exact truck. The house in the background is the Mcleod’s.
The red pigment may have evaporated just from the heat, leaving mostly white primer. We see blackened metal surfaces just above the tire fires. But the hood and sides show whitish areas. No white paint. The truck was red and grey. Tinges of red paint can still be seen on the hood.

That is definitely a RAV4 not a van. I’d think that’s an actual still shot from gas station video cameras. It is odd they waited so long to send it out but perhaps it wasn’t discovered right away.
