Those heavy winds are also bringing in the rain and increasing the wind chill factor for those two not outfitted in dry warm clothing.

Currently in Thompson: raining and 12°C/53°F
Low tonight: 8°C/45°F

You usually get what you pay for. I have nothing good to say about the mental health help in canada.
Well, I do know that there are many options through the Health Unit, SOME of which are very helpful. I speak from personal experience. But that's just my experience. However, that's another topic. :)

I am kind of amazed.
This is probably the only place I have ever been online where people don't just snap on each other for every little thing.
Looks like I'll definitely be sticking around after all this is said and done.

Very odd what the Guardian is doing. It has UK, US and Australian editions, and they’ve decided to try and run this story from Australia instead of from their NY office, which works with Canadian writers. Maybe their Australian office is underworked :)

Generally a good newspaper though; I read it daily.

More Australian readers ! :D

It's resources are stretched beyond thin....long wait times for accessing counselling and then not enough counselling.
MOO from what I see my patients experience
Can only get help if you think you need help, most people who need it have no clue they do. long long process and road to take when your trying to help someone who thinks they are ok

I’m not convinced they have resorted to eating garbage just yet. I could see them looking for clothing or a tarp or anything to use as a weapon.

Agree - I think clothing/shelter/protection from the elements.

Can I just say that I am impressed with the patience some of you seem to have.
I'm over hear fuming about people claiming all these things that are not verified and you guys are just so calmly asking for links.
Authorities would not have said they believe they murdered all three and would not be on a massive manhunt without a lot of evidence.

When did the news charges get announced? I thought second degree for LD and suspects for Lucas & Chynna. Did I miss this?

No, you didn't miss anything. Someone posted incorrect information..

Sounds quite plausible. The timeline just seems so crazy for them to have been involved in the death of LF and CD. We already know they view themselves as outcasts from their peers for being different which probably didn’t give them much hope in how they would be treated by police.
We do not know why RCMP believe that BS and KM are responsible for the deaths of LF and CD, but I am sure they did not just randomly decide to announce that for no reason. It isn't just a hunch, but they surely have some type of evidence that connects them to the murders, and BS and KM, by their own actions over the past two weeks, have done nothing to make it seem that RCMP has made a false assumption, imo.

Second degree homicide doesn't sound like "accidental" running over, does it?
Nope, it certainly doesn't. However, there is a big difference between being charged and being found guilty. My opinion.

Amazing that they've made it this long. Especially, Kam in that short sleeved shirt.

**rubs hands together* a sighting!....incredible that they have managed to remain hidden all this time, what does pique my interest is that they were sighted precisely where it could be expected, should they be alive... searching for food, and because hunger becomes the body's imperative, all thoughts of safety, and security are subdued in the relentless need for food, of whatever quality.

If it can be eaten it will be eaten.. I don't think they have any ammo or maybe not even weaponry left, otherwise they would shoot food, a rabbit, a sparrow, anything.

Hunger makes the thought process a muddled business, and one of the hard side effects of hunger is terrible depression. Hard to get going, hard to stay the course, hard to keep an eye on the goal. It will also make them really turn on each other, like wild dogs , should a situation of food divvying up arise.

And on foot!... I went back to see what footwear they were wearing in the store vid clip, couldn't see much, but not many shoes are made for 100 mile treks , unless specialized. So the shoes may be on their last legs, too.

And they ran in to the forest!.. looks like they are not about to give themselves up anytime soon. The game continues.
Bonjour mon ami. I think we are in for a long night and for you day. If they were delusional before, they certainly be more so now and paranoid to boot!

When they skedaddled from the dump, presumably it was to some kind of camp where they have a small tent, because without a tent they’d be dead by now. Too bad about all the rain. Otherwise, the dogs could probably track them easily.

Lucas Fowler is Australian, I don't know if that plays into their decision.

Probably does. When Aussie's are involved in such crimes overseas (mostly victims, but criminals also), we tend to pay a fair bit of attention to it.

  • #398
They are currently charged with the murder of all three.

I haven’t seen the police report that charges them with LF and CD. Can you link it?
