The whole case is a complete mind &@(!
The longer this goes on the more I think there’s something very big missing! Something mind blowing...
I wish I could hit "like" 100 times for this post!

Bingo! Lots of info to be gained from the RAV4 IMO. RCMP is holding that info tight to protect their investigation. RAV4 is one the very few public data points in this case.if it didn't belong with Professor I would wonder if additional people had been killed and not found.
Yes, two vehicles were burned. The first was Kam and Bryers truck and not too far from that was Prof. Dyck's body at a highway pull out. The RAV4 was burned later. There is a great article and timeline from the link Gardenista posted https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manitoba/first-nation-constable-stopped-homicide-suspects-1.5230779So two vehicles were set alight, not just one? I was getting so confused about Len Dyck being found near a burning vehicle, yet the burning vehicle seemingly was in Gillam, MB and he was in BC.
There is not too much official info, but I'm going to assume all three victims were robbed, because none of them were found with ID. In addition, it appears that LD's camper van was stolen (later set on fire near Gillam). LD would likely have had food in his van, along with bedding etc, which the fugitives could make use of.
I don't think many people carry much cash on them these days, so they may not have got as much money as they would have liked. The $20 for gas, could have been the last of it (or they were rationing it for later) and credit card usage of the deceased would raise red flags.
I'd sure like to hear a better explanation of what the suit looked like.
I thought Bryer had the black suit at home.
And a better explanation of the boxes. No backpacks? No duffels?
When I'm on a road trip, I have stuff like food, drinks, paper towels, etc in a grocery bag for easy access.
One female driver didn't stop after Chynna waived at her, but she went home and called RCMP.
Fort Nelson RCMP decided NOT to visit the couple that night.
The body and the RAV4 were in completely different areas, thus when they found the RAV4 the charge of murder was announced as the finding of the vehicle must have connected it to the murder. MooRCMP went to investigate a burnt RAV4 a few thousand km from a body, quickly identified the deceased, and prepared charges for his murder.
So we can assume the evidence includes a clear link between Leonard Dyck and the burnt RAV4.
So true, it's so random. There are hundreds of people who sleep safely on the side of the Alaska highway every day (in summer). I've done it countless times, probably in crappier vehicles too. There are people in tents, RV's, trucks, cars, you name it. Many of us are traveling to get down south for vacation or shopping and we don't stop long enough to make it worthwhile to get a hotel room. Sleeping for a few hours in a vehicle in the summer is completely normal up here. I've had randos show up down my driveway (1.5km off the Alaska highway) who had vehicle trouble (flooding actually, just like L&C) and they just needed a spot to rest and wait. It was odd they went down a private driveway but they may have missed the sign. It's pretty chill around here.
Cheers, and thank you. Just my opinion as well, which has now been modified a bit due to your post. I concur that the white you outlined does look akin to fiberglass combustion residue. It could well be that- I'd not seen these photos before, I was going by a video that, I guess, was taken by a bystander at the scene.
One of the items on the tarp looks rather like an oil pan.
It's always been my opinion that there is no such thing as an irrelevant fact in a criminal investigation; declaring something as such too early can turn out to be dismissing something important. So, I tend to delve into details. Just a personal preference. In this case, I consider the truck quite important, because without it, there's no known (to the public) link between the suspects and the murders. The Rav 4 may be a link, but I've yet to find a LE source saying it was the professor's vehicle.
I've never seen a vehicle fire do the kind of damage seen on that truck, especially the bent cab cornerpost. However, what I have seen do damage similar to that is recovery tow trucks pulling a vehicle out of somewhere. It might well be that, like the Rav4, the initial location was back in the woods a bit, and they hauled it out. If so, the camper remains I expect to see would be there, not where the vehicle is. I also see from your photos that while the fire was apparently quite intense, there appear to be unburned brush very, very close. So, I'm very much wondering if that truck was moved before this pic was taken.
I'm going to try to post the video of the scene. I'm new here, so I may bungle this.
Errr. How did I miss that? One of the items on the tarp looks like a steel stove cover, with holes for the burner rings. It also seems burned, beyond what one would expect from normal use. That IMHO is a very strong indicator that the camper there and was burned.
Alas, I can't find a way to directly attach the video taken at the truck scene. All I can do is give the URL of the news outlet page, and say it's about the third vid down. Former classmates of northern B.C. murder suspect say he would describe killing himself, others
First I heard that Fort Nelson RCMP was called and declined to investigate. Heart wrenchingOne female driver didn't stop after Chynna waived at her, but she went home and called RCMP.

Next search will be for recovery of the bodies to bring back to the parents. Just keepin' it real, as BS has mentioned suicide. Brought the suit to wear when they find him?
The authorities went to investigate a burning vehicle which was the truck/camper. Professor Dyck's body was in the area. The teens were next spotted in the RAV4. Later the RAV4 was found burning a lot farther away. I'm assuming the burning of vehicles was to minimize DNA evidence so they couldn't be linked (at least that's mo).RCMP went to investigate a burnt RAV4 a few thousand km from a body, quickly identified the deceased, and prepared charges for his murder.
So we can assume the evidence includes a clear link between Leonard Dyck and the burnt RAV4.
The father said in an interview that he bought a suit to take to Yukon for job interviews. Something like that. We've also heard they were really headed to Alberta. At any rate, it would seem Bryer had a suit he was proud to take with him.
They may have had stuff in the trunk, but...I doubt they still have most of it.
The oddest part is giving any part of their real names. That supports the desire for fame theory, even if they only told that one man.
How do you know those things? Link please?
