Although the very beginning of RW's redacted confession interview is missing details (there are 128 pages in what is labeled 309 pages), it appears that they were discussing the roadside check. RW states that "they took every number I had". Det. Smyth replies that "yeah, they were doing some pretty thorough interviews that night."

Good thing.

I must sign out to clean some dust bunnies.

Thank you all for the constant updates, especially nobodyzgirl and wondergirl. I don't know how you kept up so quickly! (((Hugs!)))

LE did talk to RW about the sexual assaults (page 12 of redacted transcript)

WILLIAMS: so certainly at the time the OPP did a uh went door to
door

480 D/SGT. SMYTH: yeah

WILLIAMS: and and uh within a couple of days probably the same
night so I spoke with a couple back then

485 D/SGT. SMYTH: okay um yeah and I’m I’m aware of that

I am so glad that Andy, when asked about what RW regretted most in his confession mentioned how RW was only concerned about his wife and how his wife's only concern seemed to be the $3,000.00 repayment for her damaged floors AND $1.400.00 for a lamp that was knocked over...we can see where her priorities lie...

You should be able to view it online. Here is the link:

(this is before he was actually sentenced). They are doing a follow-up this Friday and it will likely be available online after the show airs.

Thanks, but the site says it only streams the video in Canada. I'll check you tube, though.

The Canadian news media has done an exemplary job in covering these crimes and Williams trial. I feel so badly for the victims, families and friends, but also for the members of Canada's military.

OMG. One of the witnesses that seen RW's SUV that night at Jessica Lloyd's house was a police officer. Page 43 of Redacted Transcript. :( :( :(

D/SGT. SMYTH: okay um there was uh a female police officer that
actually drove by that location uh that evening

WILLIAMS: mm hmm

D/SGT. SMYTH: and recalls seeing an SUV type vehicle in the field up to the north of Jessica LLOYD’S house uh consistent with uh a Pathfinder

WILLIAMS: okay

This is sickening, and makes me seriously question where that women's thinking is at.

OMG. Marie France wrote about Williams, maybe on her blackberry or in her diary! (page 45)

D/SGT. SMYTH: is there any reason at all you can think of that during
our investigation obviously we’re searching uh computers uh things like Blackberries right

WILLIAMS: mm hmm

D/SGT. SMYTH: electronic devices uh looking through houses for things
that are in handwriting written notes diaries things like that

WILLIAMS: mm hmm

D/SGT. SMYTH: um and I’m not at liberty to tell you what the content
5290 was but is there any reason at all that you can think of why Marie-France COMEAU would’ve specifically referenced you in some of her uh in some of her writings

WILLIAMS: not at all

D/SGT. SMYTH: okay is there anything that she ever said to you that lead you to believe that there may be something uh more than a passing interest with her towards you

WILLIAMS: not at all no we spent you know one flight together talking I’d go back occasionally and talk no I uh if that’s the case that’s uh that’s very surprising

that stood out to me last evening when I watched the confession...there is more to this I am sure.. I earlier made a post about it...I think, seeing as they DID work in the same section and flew on at least one flight as crew together that maybe this SOB had the hots for her and maybe she was worried..he knew that being in his position that he could not safely fraternize with anyone in the ranks but hey that has not stopped anyone before from doing it..military can be very closed mouth about activities that are going on..

I hope you are able to find it, as CBC/Fifth Estate did an excellent job on the documentary.

He would have known Marie France as flight crews are a close bunch and even socialize when on a trip overseas..he is a liar..she was under his command and he would have access to all her records etc.

I know that he mentioned during his interrogation that he met her once, though I was curious if there was any media reports that could actually link them together during flights.

Again, please disregard this post if this has already been answered. I am still playing catch up, so hard to keep up!

You are right Macright (no pun intended :) ) They have met before, and IIRC it was on a VIP flight to Germany. Here is one news link:
Williams repeatedly raped the 37-year-old woman - who first caught his eye during a military VIP flight - after breaking into her home last November and striking her repeatedly in the head with a flashlight.

I thought it was strange that she said: "You 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬!" when she saw him. It makes me think that she knew it was him. I would have screamed and said something like omg or get the **** out, etc. You 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 makes me think she knew it was him. JMO

I am curious about the reference to Williams in writings of Marie France.. (as per his interrogation)..was he eyeballing her at work...was she feeling uncomfortable around him?.. it seems he was impotent and had to resort to violent means in order to perform sexually...at least that's what I am reading into the confessions..

here is the link again to the interrogation:

Hi everyone

Marie-France worked at 437 Sqn, RW worked in Wing Headquarters (4 doors down from my office). 437 Sqn is on the North Side and is across the road (Hwy 2) from HQ. The base is separated into the North and South side, with HQ being on the South Side.

She may have noted that he was a very nice man - and his persona was very much that. He seemed to really have a soft spot of NCO's and went out of his way to tell them how important they are. A lot of Wing Comd's are just too caught up in their work and fail to acknowledge this. RW wasn't one of those leaders. He was extremely personable, and winked back at me once when I said "hello Sir" at the HQ BBQ (we had them every Wednesday). I thought it was an odd thing to do considering his rank, but chalked it up to his personality. Everyone loved him. I SERIOUSLY doubt he was "eyeballing" her...there are just way too many people around him and in the Sqn for that to happen....he wasn't stupid and was always very professional in his uniform.

Just my personal observation........for what it's worth :)

I thought that she might have thought it was the guy she was dating.

thank you for your post...I too am quite familar with CFB Trenton.. I don't think the SOB chanced upon Marie France so therefore considering all we know now about the SOB I still think that she had come to his attention whether from the flight she took with him or passing her on the base but he did seek her out as we are all aware of now..and of course we now know how much Marie France suffered at the hands of this bast***.. you are correct...winking is not very professional, especially with a Base CO and to a NCO.... I also don't understand why he was not living in the home assigned to the CO on the base...but of course we all know now why he wasn't...

if what the Insp. mentioned in the video that Marie France had referenced RW in her writings and I do believe that it is the truth and not a ploy to get him to confess (why would they, as at that time they had enough info on him to make an arrest) ...perhaps he winked at her and being from a professional military family and familiar with the rank structure of the military she was uncomfortable with it..
