So if there was a survey What is everyone's gut instinct based on the info available as to what happened? The options would be:

1. Wilfully Disappeared
2. Kidnapped
3. Domestic foul play
4. Other foul play
5. Medical /accident
6. Other (ie. Partying, travel, etc.)

I was downtown tonight and drove by Spiller Rd 1900 block. It is close to the river and wooded areas so an accident may be possible. There are also a few rough characters around but most are just homeless guys and gals and are harmless. There was a fairly heavy police presence by the 711 but likely not related to this.

I am still going with #3

I think she is somewhere defragging and collecting her thoughts.

I haven't noticed if anyone else has mentioned it..but she was last seen after midnight on the 26th, but commented on her status on fb @ 4:06pm on the 27th....has this been discussed?!

I had noticed it also but I thought it was from a comment that was later edited ....I can't seem to find it now..

On subject and off subject, but, the great thing about the printed page and a delivered newspaper is that it is final and cannot be edited. on another thread, we slowly discovered that articles were being parsed after being reported as other,, it is a sad reality of the internet world.

spiller has such a lonely feel to it even when the fireworks at stampede are happening and thousands of people are about. a friend lived just about the top of the cliff and it is oddly quiet up there despite its proximity to the hub of everything cowtown.

I'm surprised you think this for some reason Stan! Wouldn't she have let someone, anyone know this though? She has sooooo many friends, at least one would know if she was chilling out somewhere I would think. At least one.

It's close to the train tracks as well, definitely areas an accident could happen. Wonder what was up at 7-11? Heavy police presence for a shoplifter?

No there were three cars. Most of them were outside chatting. Appeared pretty relaxed.

Did anyone ever find out whose home it is? Not that important but may say something about the relationship dynamics. Also did they live in a free standing house or the housing coop up the ridge?

I am torn. I think #1 could be a possibility worth exploring. She could have left the province and so is not easily identifiable and does not want to contact anyone yet.

I am suspicious and would not be surprised if it is #3. I think she could equally have met with foul play within her circle of career and friends and so #4.

I am surprised that family or friends have not organized a search of the area. Given that there are some potentially ominous places nearby to dump a body, I would think that an area search would be justified... Unless of course they suspect something worse.

  • #192
They should organize a search of the area and do a once over of the husbands car. These actions would either prove fruitful or at least rule out some possibilities. I equally find it strange these have not been done.

I can see any of the above being the outcome, but my gut feeling is that it's either #1 or #3.....although #6 other has gone through my head off and on - what the possibility of her taking her own life would be. I just don't really understand the details (or lack of) of her last sighting and I want to know if any clothes are missing like jackets, footwear etc.

My very first thoughts were #3, but maybe it's because there's so little info out there other than her husband was the last to see her so late after midnight.

Could also be an accident of sorts, a series of strange and unfortunate events that does happen to people and are sometimes hard to believe. I'm curious if alcohol was a factor that night with either her or her husband, I'd like to know if she or they were drinking.

IIRC, someone posted a snippet from a MSM article upthread and I believe the articles said 'apartment'. Not sure if this is confirmed as fact.

Another thing the family could do is put up a reward for information leading to or the location of Sb.
Odd this hasn't been done!

I think she has, unfortunately, met with foul play, either domestic or stranger. I very much doubt she is hidden away somewhere collecting her thoughts, she seems to close to her family to have them worry about her for 3 weeks. She doesn't have the means, as far as family and LE know, there has been NO bank activity while she has been missing and there were no large withdrawals in the days before she vanished. Plus, she had just gone for an audition, surely if she was planning to go off grid for a while she would of waited till she knew how she had done there.

Wondering if S went someplace, where she may have taken/ingested something, willingly or otherwise, that contributed to her apparent absence?
Fwiw, leading causes of death in white females, how long has Shannon been 25 years old?

It is something to consider after no contact for two weeks. Possibly SB knew she wasn't going to get the part and wasn't concerned about the results. I wonder how long the CPS will keep this as a missing persons or if they have evidence of foul play I wonder if they will release that information to the family and to the public.
