yes in rundle.

which brings the question, did she stop there on the way beck from edm, leave at 12:30am, go straight home or go somewhere else then home later?

being that she was not noticed missing for days, when did she actually go missing?

No, she disappeared from her home in Ramsay.
Did her husband leave her home in Ramsay at 12:30AM, or did she leave her home and he was still there? Does he live there as well?

"Shannon Burgess, 25, was last seen about 12:30 a.m. Nov. 27 at her home in the 1900 block of Spiller Rd. in southeast Calgary."

did he drop off her phone and car to her ramsay home?

Why would she go to her estranged husband's house on her way home from Edmonton?

What is her last communication, and does she say where she is?

so we have two reports that are conflicting,, so let's combine the two; he was there but he didn't stay

It's on the way, not much off Deerfoot.

it's the red carpet comedy gig if I remember correctly, but there was her friends gig at elbow river casino that night too.

The comedy club is an even farther walk in -1C to -6C temperatures. Lolita's Lounge and YukYuks Casino are closer than YukYuks Comedy. Would she make that walk to find a barfly in the middle of the night without her phone?

What is really ominous, is what if he did drive her, posted on her behalf and changed the time and location he last saw her as a diversion? There are an awful lot of empty fields and secluded roads on the prairies.

Has anyone confirmed that she made it back?

Yes that is an important question. The timeline would be much longer and much harder to find her. IIRC SB's brother had made the plans with her to go to Stage West and I wonder if he spoke with her directly or via text messaging.

rsbm -

It's so hard to say. It's estimated that only about 20-30% of those who commit suicide leave notes, and considering the stream of thoughts and events that lead to a suicide, I can't speculate about whether or not Shannon would leave a note. I'm not sold on any theory of her disappearance at this point, mind you. I just can't help but hope against hope that she's still alive, although everything I've read says otherwise.

I doubt that Shannon is alive. Given everything we know (press statement from sister, voice actor interview, silence, unusual circumstances surrounding disappearance, etc.), it's unlikely that Shannon is alive.

Interesting point that we haven't heard who was the last person to see JB. With the Liknes-O'brien case that was a key piece of information that was released to the public. They also included what they were last wearing. If that detail is not available in this case could it be because the last person who claims to have seen her may not be a trustworthy source of information and if LE did offer up that person's description it could jeopardize the investigation later on down the road?

It appears that no one knows what Shannon was wearing when she was last seen. The husband should be able to describe what she was wearing when he last saw her, but if he last saw her when he allegedly left her house, then she could be wearing anything ... and so it's an unknown.

I would assume that the last person to see Shannon prior to her arrival in Calgary was someone in Edmonton, and that she went home after arriving in Calgary. If her estranged husband didn't live with her, what was he doing at her home in Ramsay that night? Was this a normal event, and did they text each other about getting home after parting ways ... or was he oblivious to her activities, and she wandered around after midnight without her phone looking for a barfly?

I believe Shannon has two brothers and one sister. Maybe that wasn't JB at the presser and was actually her brother.

Also, the definition of estranged which is what JB is referred as being to SB:

es·tranged
iˈstrānjd/
adjective
(of a person) no longer close or affectionate to someone; alienated.
"Harriet felt more estranged from her daughter than ever"

(of a wife or husband) no longer living with their spouse.
past participle: estranged

There's nothing to suggest that they didn't both live in the same house. She was apparently at home, and her husband reports that she left, or that he left, at 12:30AM? Is the story from the husband that she left with her keys and wallet in the middle of the night, or that he left in the middle of the night and someone else discovered that her wallet and keys were missing?
One question is, does he know that she left with her wallet and keys or is that deductive reasoning based on the fact that they are also missing?

If his story is true, *he* could have left at 12:30 and unaware what time she left the home. All MSM states is that she was last seen at her residence at 12:30 a.m. It does not state that *she* left the home at that time. If he left, she could have left any time and it could have even been the next day, especially if no one saw her or heard from her. We are just assuming she left at 12:30.

I think the police say what a person was wearing the last time a person was seen. Just like a robber was wearing a black hoodie... Doesn't mean he didn't take it off right away but they still say what they were seen wearing. I think if the last person to see SB was able to provide the info and that person was not suspicious then LE would have released the details.

I wonder if the split couple still shared the dog. Maybe Shannon is renting and can't have the large dog at her new home and so JB has it and she goes to visit the dog or they may even share custody of the dog or did they give him up when they split or maybe he passed away. If she did have her dog at home he would have been alone for days. He is a large dog that would have been messy. I wonder where her dog is.

I agree. The police usually includes their clothing in the release. That is another reason that I suspect that they are not sure exactly when she disappeared... Maybe that is why the husband was not suspicious for a couple days - he wasn't there when she left so he had no idea that she left her cell behind. This of course, if he is being truthful.

So what exactly happened on the night of November 26, 2014?
Where did Shannon go when she returned to Calgary, and why is she missing?

That is the thing Otto... Maybe it wasn't that night? If her husband left at 12:30 a.m. and she wasn't reported missing until Monday, we don't know exactly when she went missing. If we could nail down whether he left the residence or she did, it would certainly help narrow down the scenarios.

We can logically assume if she was not on social media, had no phone contact with anyone else, that it was within a smaller window of time, but was it after midnight or the next day?

Great point! If she left her dog at home when she drove to Edmonton for one day, would she have asked her estranged husband to look after the dog? That would explain why he had a key, but not why he was there at 8:30PM ... unless he was a bit sloppy with looking after the dog. She was late returning from Edmonton, and presumably he knew when she was returning. Dogs eat in the morning and again at 4PM (in order to finish up before bed), so is there a logical explanation for the estranged husband to be at the house at 8:30PM for the dog?

I doubt that it would have been messy to leave a large dog alone for an overnight on Tuesday until Wednesday evening. Large dogs can manage, small dogs can't.

Shannon had plans on Nov 27, Thursday night, with her brother. Her last contact with anyone was at 12:30AM on Nov 26. Her last contact with anyone excluding her husband was at about 8:30PM Nov 26.

I feel confident in saying that she went missing on the night between Nov 26 and Nov 27. The last sighting of her is at 12:30AM Nov 27 ... from her husband. It's not likely that Shannon left her house at 12:30AM and she vanished on Thursday morning. There would be footage of her somewhere, like 9AveSE surveillance footage, if she was there. That would become the new "last seen" location.

Her last location is her home, and her husband is the witness.

Poof.
Gone.
