Hi Tinkerbel: I think whether the cell phone is left behind or not is dependent on the person. I am close to Shannon's age and I often leave the house without my cellphone. I either forget it, don't charge it, or sometimes just don't care to bring it. So I don't think leaving without her cellphone is not necessarily indicative that something has happened, it just sadly makes it more difficult for her to contact someone if she is in trouble

Good point!! But sadly, I think you may be one of a low percentage that do that...most of the ears I see these days have bluetooths in them. And an awful lot have hands and pockets that have phones in them. The nature of Shannon's career suggests she would probably have her late night colleagues call her to invite her down or find out where she may have a gig, possibly. Your comment is definitely plausable, but JB not hearing it or seeing it for 5 days is strange in itself. (Can you tell I'm sending these from my cell? Sorry for errors! Lol)

Could be. I myself am planning to start jogging again and I'm the opposite!

I've downloaded a tracking app that let's you keep track of how many kms you jog and the time, as well as I'm looking into downloading a personal safety app for jogging - one that sends out alerts to your chosen contacts if you're not back from your run by X amount of time that you set it for. I must be overly safety conscious or read a certain crime forum too much….

I did run out to the grocery store down the block the other night at around 10pm (to get ice cream, can you believe it?) and quickly grabbed my purse and keys but *almost* forgot my cell phone as it was on the kitchen counter charging for the next day.

I thought of this thread and thought to myself - well, it is possible to run out and forget the cell after all.

Talk about bad luck...the one time she forgets her phone something happens! I think on the balance of probabilities it's more likely there is another explanation for the phone being left. Remember, phones locations may be tracked. Could this be relevant?

I haven't noticed if anyone else has mentioned it..but she was last seen after midnight on the 26th, but commented on her status on fb @ 4:06pm on the 27th....has this been discussed?!

IIRC -- easy to do though if someone has her p/w == hopefully cyber savvy LEO will be able to take a look at that and find out details such as IP

I noticed she has made a comment in one of her groups on Novemeber 27th at 4.06am - she says "so sad I didn't make it back in to Calgary in time for the show" - That status comment appears in the group ' Yuk Yuk's Calgary Development Night'. So she had obviously been out of town somewhere - this status is 24 hours after she was last seen (if she made the comment that is).

Wednesday nights are good too for getting away from the mediocratic weekenders. Wednesday nights at the warehouse used to be ten bux all you could drink beer,, the best night in cowtown is actually sunday night. pretty much any night besides Friday and Saturday are the best nights to head out. anyone have a schedule for what dj's were playing that night?

Are you thinking that because I've been posting here for 10 years and follow several cases simultaneously that I'm "creeping" when I encounter the same person on more than one thread? If so, that's a funny thought.

Is the Warehouse still a gay club with a membership list? Sundays are certainly popular party nights for restaurant/bar staff - always have been.

We've seen Shannon's sister. Does she strike anyone as the sort of person that would wander into the night in November to go to a club by herself without her phone or transportation?

Are you sure that she posted on her facebook page on November 27? What did she say?

I only see posts on the 26th. One at 10pm says something about missing a man who knocked her up when she was "whoring herself out for funzies" another last post just before midnight on the 26 makes a comment about brakes on her car not working. I wonder if she actually wrote these?

Geez. I hope not. That is her husband in those photo's. I believe it was a trip they had made to Edmonton. They are young, that is a cheap hotel room. I think she even commented that they were upgraded for booking so last minute. I stayed in worse when I was her age and I was with friends.
