IF she sticks with the Zanny story she already set it up that Zanny had access to the house because she had a key:sick: If she is going with SODDI defense then I don't know how she would explain access to the house.

What I wonder about her SODDI defense is would it have worked better in her favor to try and blame someone who knew Caylee...IE, a person who actually exists, or does this imaginary person that we all know doesn't exist work better because she could say they were an illegal, they're no longer in the country, et cetera? Will a jury buy it?

It would be a win for Casey as well no death penalty. I think they know there will be charges, they are just trying to save her life. I dont see Casey making it in general population if thats where she ends up. There are people in there that feel the same way we do and they are not afraid of getting in trouble I think she will get hurt, badly. IMO

Well in making my arguments, remember I am Canadian, so the concept of the death penalty is not even in the realm of my discussion. I just don't think it is relevant for me to comment about it because it's not something I've had to consider in my lifetime.

That said - this clearly seems to me to be a case of murder 1 or aggravated manslaughter, one carries a life without parole sentence and one carries a thiry year sentence.

It seems to me both of these are a long way from saying "My client is innocent and when it all comes out at trial, then you will say - now I understand".

The only thing I can come up with is - the Defense had better start doing some work. Just because JB got paid for basically nothing, doesn't mean he can continue like that now.

Chefmom! Good work! So Casey, who has never lifted a finger to clean her car before realized it stunk and went home to get some cleaning products at which point George showed her it was Caylee whose body was making the smell. But Casey hadn't popped the trunk for anything before then? Umm, were the remains still in the trunk at that point and who slung them just off road a block or so away?
So if Casey was following George's orders, she had time to place some of Tony's garbage in the trunk before she dropped the car off at Amscott?

So the welfare of CA and Lee were more important to her than her grief over the loss of her daughter? If someone killed a child of mine - and I knew it - nothing would stand in the way of my anger and grief - nothing!
She could have gone to the OCPD, explained the situation, have them pick up George, and there's the issue of safety solved.

But excellent try, thanks.:blowkiss:

Why, thank you! It was hard working trying to take every lie that KC`has told and try to weave a plausible fairy tale. . .I mean "defense" around them and come out with something that is actually believable. Nothing the defense says, IMO, is going to make any sense in the face of so much circumstantial evidence, unless they change their plea to "Guilty".

Wow never thought about that she would have no real license, not in the police or FBI database, no lease in a real name, actually nothing at all in her real name. All of Zeneidas family had made up names because they were illegal. She was afraid to have her picture taken because she was illegal. Casey messed up on the apartment # that would cause concern not even the fake nanny could have lived there. Thats interesting.....

Here's where it might get difficult for Casey to do that- :innocent: she told her Mother that Zenaida was originally from New York didn't she? Not an immigrant, IIRC.

But she had a car. She worked at Universal. Just to name a few. And Jeff, too. J. Lewis, yep all disappeared. Bibby Bobby Boo.

O/T but personally I would laugh if he abandoned ship and became a "lost boy" now that the money's run out. I know that's not ethical or whatever, but when has JB ever been concerned with ethics? If he were to "take the money and run" and go stick his head in the sand now, I'd adorn my own smirk akin to KC's in the courtroom! :woohoo:

ZFG's car - which was a 2008 Ford Focus even had NY plates- even though she had lived in Florida for at least 4 years, according to Casey. Don't you have to get Fla plates within a year of moving there? She gets tripped up on details like this all the time...

Perhaps with all these people KC knew ending up disappearing, perhaps KC can be charged with their murders/kidnappings as well? IIRC she was the last person to see Zenaida, Juliette, Jeff, Samantha..oh and don't forget poor Zenaida's children, I suppose an Amber Alert should be posted for them as well? Maybe all this time we've been thinking KC just killed her own daughter to be rid of the responsibility when in actuality she's a cold-blooded serial killer and we should look within close proximity of all these people's homes for their remains? Just a thought..:twocents:

I was just being supportive of an idea I had not thought about without being sarcastic and/or demeaning in my response. Just trying to respect others ideas. Illegals do drive and work but I'm not arguing the point as I dont support the theory.

Defense legal strategies:
1) Poke holes in the state's case (whether that be forensic or any other kind of evidence): to wit, try to show the jury that Caylee was never in the trunk of KC's car.
2) Suggest SODDI: either outright finger a specific player in the case or just allude to many players and suggest any of them could have taken/killed/dumped Caylee
3) Plea this thing out: in order to do so, I would imagine that it is more than just taking the DP off the table...they will want something more than life without parole...
4) Try to get this case retried on an appealable issue
5) Imply that it was an accident (Caylee's death) and therefor say to the jury that they cannot convict on the charges available to them in deliberation
6) Say KC has severe mental issues...I scratch this one because the definition of insanity is knowing what you are doing is wrong/illegal...and her lies and actions after the fact are incongruent with an insane person
7) Walk away and let the dark lass try her own darn case.

I personally wish for number 7 since KC hasn't really worked at all in her life. And also she would be held to the same standard as an attorney...so watching her get schooled by Perry everytime she takes a misstep would be reward enough for me.

I personally think that the defense is going to take a combination of (1) and (2) with this caveat on (2) that they will imply that any number of people could have killed/disposed of Caylee. JMO.

Yes, since Jeff and Juliette were the only two people that Casey told about Zenaida kidnapping Caylee, maybe Zenaida was able to figure that out someway and go and bump them both off, so they couldn't testify..:innocent:

Well you obviously haven't consulted Tobin's Spirit Guide...Juliette and Jeff are right there under shape shifters...LOL. :)

Good catch but I could see Casey explaining it as yes, she'd known ZFG for 4 yrs., but ZFG just got this NEW car in NY and driven it down to Florida.......:D

The only problem in actually naming a "real person" is having to follow through with how they got hold of Caylee, how they were able to put her in Casey's car, get hold of the items found with Caylee that were originally in the Anthony home, etc., and "why" they would've killed Caylee. Casey has already given LE her statements about ZFG, and although they're not believed by LE, and there is no ZFG that can be traced to Casey, changing from that would definitely show that Casey is a liar and that in itself could sink her defense before they even argued about the forensic evidence. MOO

Oh I'm glad you brought up the shifting nanny defense, because I wonder if the ZFG information can even come up at trial if the Defense shifts to some other SODDI not including the ones the Defense has previously pointed fingers at.
