Cindy's vacation ended on June 8th based on her testimony at the bond hearing.
Figures.
all of these dates running through my poor old empty head!

Thanks for the link even though it's shannon's comment in the quote box with my name on it (your post). What I can recall, yes.. Heres a site that explains about life cycle of maggots
http://www.deathonline.net/decomposition/corpse_fauna/flies/life_cycle.htm
Please note - this site contains strong graphic images and descriptions.
That site states what happens with Decomposition of a body.
I still think that Casey killed Caylee on the 16 and somehow knew about Zanaida's name being on that guest register. Either she went there (wasn't it close to the boyfriend's house?) and snooped at the guest book to get a name that was close to the time she killed the baby or something. I wish the management there would have some memory of seeing her hanging around. Somehow she knew that woman had been there and used her name.
respectfully snipped
Therefore, George might have been too far away to smell decomposition in the trunk.
You can smell decomposition from pretty far away....and George wouldn't be the only one to smell it on her car if she had been driving around like that. I don't believe the car smelled on the 24th....due to that and that alone.
You could be right but how much decomposing matter? A whole body that had been decomposing for days -- 20 feet? Simply a small spot -- recently there that had been competing with the smell of gas cans -- 2 feet? We don't know. If George did smell it, and recognize it, was he shocked into bewilderment, protectionistic feelings and silence -- not wanting to confront Casey who was known to lose her temper easily and be very agressive with family members? Who knows? I don't. To me, this means it doesn't rule out that the body may have been in the trunk prior to the 24th. It also means it doesn't rule out that the body could have been in the trunk for the first time after the 24th.
Just a thought- all the talk of the maggots, but no mention of flies. You can't really have one without the other.

Right...there are alot of variables. The article I just linked discusses some of that. We just don't know....you are right.
I do think she could've left her in the backyard for a short time, which, imo, would cause the dog to hit on that area. I'm still trying to figure out how the Sawgrass apts. fit into this, like who she knows there and how she picked Zenaida's name.

Maybe she went there on the 17th at the same time as Zenaida was there and someone in the office told Zenaida what apartments were available, and so forth, which she overheard? Or maybe she even asked, but never filled out a guest card? Just trying to figure it out!I still think that Casey killed Caylee on the 16 and somehow knew about Zanaida's name being on that guest register. Either she went there (wasn't it close to the boyfriend's house?) and snooped at the guest book to get a name that was close to the time she killed the baby or something. I wish the management there would have some memory of seeing her hanging around. Somehow she knew that woman had been there and used her name. Remember, Casey had 31 days to come up with an alibi using Zanaida's name and address. Why she thought she would get away with this is beyond me. That or any of her other lies.

If you read all of the daily recaps. You should be up to date. CSI blacked out the windows in the back of the house which is what they do when they photograph with luminol. The back of the house faces the pool.
I have been thinking about the apartments and how Casey took the police there. I do think the choice of Zenaida's name was just PURE FICTION AND GOOD ESTIMATION (probabilities) on Casey's behalf that that was a very common name. But like others I still believe there is significance to her chosing that apartment but I couldn't come up with a theory. Here is one that connects with our discussion where she could have put Caylee.
1. Usually killers hide their victims in areas they know, they are comfortable to move around. If there is a victim in this case....
2. Wasn't a friend of Casey's living across the street of the building she chose as the home of the ''nanny''?
3. What if she took the police there hoping that they will investigate the surrounding area as well and do ground searches around that building? Find Caylee and of course blame the whole thing on the ''nanny'' that was living on the building? What if that was the purpose she chose that specific building? You know what?Someone should check the roof of that building!!!!!!
