Thanks Nums. Val is my favorite, hands down. She is the kind of bright mind that makes a high school kid want to be a writer. The defense better hope for lesser folks than the Vals of this world to be on that jury.
O/T It does scare me, not being funny, in all seriousness, it scares me that someone as troubled as mom Anthony would be in charge of elderly, likely home bound folks with real medical needs. Both of my sister in laws are neonatal nurses, and they take their work very seriously, they study hard and are always doing ongoing training, they go to work and are very present for their tiny patients. No one in my family (they are also my two best friends) would ever consider calling them while they are working, unless it was an actual emergency. Can you imagine someone as distracted as Cindy at a desk, making decisions for your father or grandfather's care as she is dispatching the nurse and giving orders , meanwhile she is paging Casey twice in a sixty second period? Seeing that line of thinking about this could be code for that, stop could mean go, really really scares me. I do not think she will ever have the credibility to work in that field again. Get to know your caretakers folks!
You know what else I have learned since studying this case? I find myself being much more tow the line with the kids. I keep telling myself, no means no....because...it matters!!
If all you saw was this lovely mother and daughter in the sweet sweaters, you would have no idea their family dynamics would lead to that unborn child's death one day.
