I always thought BM put Suzanne in the missing cooler together with some type of chemical/lye/acid and brought it up to a high spot on the mountain south of Puma Path on his ATV. There is a back, dirt, road that runs east from Puma Path towards the Monarch Spur RV park/campground. There are trails he could easily access and drive pretty far up that mountain without going out on a main road. He hunted that area for years and knew the territory well. He would know the hidey holes up there where he could stash the cooler. I believe he did eventually move the cooler, took out the body which was now bereft of skin, hair, and tissue, and left the bones out somewhere off grid for them to bleach out in an effort to erase any dna that might be left on the body. He knew if he left the body in the cooler and it was found, it would be traced back to him.
I think he got spooked when the prosecution asked for the court dismissal in the Spring of ‘22 and stated they now had a very good idea where SM’s body was, but needed for the deep snow melt to retrieve it. BM might have second guessed his decision to lay out the bones. He was probably savvy enough not to go up there right away for fear of being followed, but did go and retrieve the now sun-bleached bones, dressed the skeleton in the biking clothes and brought it to where it was eventually found in the shallow grave. He may have done this after hearing about the area which was known as the “boneyard”. It was one of his biggest mistakes. He did not know that traces of BAM can be found in the bone marrow.
The feet probably disarticulated either when he removed the body from the cooler or when he moved the bleached out skeleton.
This is a scenario I came up with that would account for much of what we know about the case thus far. Of course, we don’t know what additional information that the investigators might have and when we find out more, my little scenario could go right out the window.
