There’s another motion about that. Talks about protecting privacy of daughters and other family members.

The judge granted it, hence the redactions. State response should come Monday
I missed that! Thank you!

I am curious how everyone is allowed to be "protected". If these people are going to vouch for Barry Morphew and allow him to live with them, make sure he comes to court dates, etc. then I feel their address and info should be public. If he's released this his location should be public knowledge. No protecting anyone that is claiming he's innocent and they vouch for him.

It's not like the court doesn't know, so us not knowing is no big deal. Although it's pretty easy to figure out.

Thank you for this. Their hubris knows no bounds.

Oh sure, this is nothing but more of the same, right Barry? Just like last time EXCEPT the victim's body has now been recovered, found to be murdered with the use of a very rare chemical composition you have admitted to using (illegally) and then lost, and the reasons for dismissal are now largely moot. And yes, before the State (different district but I guess the same personal vendetta against you) unfairly painted you as a criminal, you were known as an honest, upstanding man (trivial were the shady business dealings, stalking of your wife and leaving her afraid to be alone with you, constantly shifting stories about what transpired the day before and the day your wife was reported missing, illegal breaking hunting laws designed to prevent cruelty to animals, and impersonating and cheating for an election - no dishonesty there). And yes, your ties to the community have remained the same - except you no longer lived in the state when recently arrested again.

Poor, poor Barry! Why not let him out on his own good word?

Sentence might be probation? In what universe?

Well, that was gag-inducing. Almost upchucked my morning latte.

I'm glad you mentioned a morning latte.

I wonder how Mr. Morphew is enjoying the fine jailhouse brew.

I don't think he's going to much like the prison fare.

I can't believe his counsel took the shortcut in their motion -- basically saying -- what all IE said at the time of his previous arrest, yeah, what she said.

Nonsense. For the obvious. Suzanne's remains have been found, he remains were moved (no other predator would have reason to do that) and BAM was screaming from her bone marrow, taking the State's theory of the case from theory to proof. But also, the misrepresentations IE made to the Court, all debunked. Rogue DNA didn't match a sexual predator out of state, Suzanne isn't in Ecuador nor shopping at thrift stores up in Denver, no mountain lion got her and then rebarried her in the Moffat boneyard, and no dog tracked her scent to the river. Gross misdirection by IE.

It's not even kind of the same, but I hope BM is delighting in the expectation of release on bond.

Suzanne was guarded, to be sure, but hopeful nonetheless that she could escape the confines of their unhealthy marriage and reclaim her autonomy and regain freedom.

He killed the dream.

I hope the judge kills his.

Interesting that the places and people who would provide housing for Morphew are not released. I wonder if at least some are outside the 12th JD, and if some are in other states (AZ, IN).

Also interesting that he expects to raise a $500,000.00 cash/property/surety bond, when he also claims to be indigent. I will be interested to hear the evidence offered on this! Is his mother going to pledge her Indiana home? Have his daughters married money?

Even more interesting that he has claimed he is unable to work, that no one will hire him - yet now says he has numerous business contacts who would offer him work. These guys had better show their faces and testify as to the work they will provide.

My guess is that Morphew's evidence will fall short of the facts averred in his motion, and that the judge will give him only some of what he asked for - maybe reduce the bond to $1 million cash only, conditioned on his remaining in the county until trial, and abiding by all the other usual restrictions.

Motion to Reduce Bond D-007.pdf

"(i) likelihood of intimidating or harassing possible witnesses: Mr. Morphew has not committed any violation of the law or intimidated/harassed any witnesses throughout, from the time of his first arrest to the present. There is no reason to believe he would do so if released now."

If you count the time before the arrest, then that's not true, if you ask MG.

"...so his fine reputation can be restored..."

"....he is honest..."

Alrighty then.
Fine reputation??? At the very minimum, let's not forget that he committed Voter Fraud. Cast a ballot for Suzanne who was already dead in Trump' s name.

Didn't know he couldn't.

Either he did or didn't know Suzanne was dead.

If he didn't know she was dead (so he was voting on her behalf, he'd say), what was he doing with SD? So.... Suzanne wasn't coming back enough that he could play Bible Twister at midnight-thirty with SD but then under what theory is he voting for her?

Of course, he did throw it out there that, with the surprising news that Suze had a secret manfriend, he didn't think he'd take her back, if she should suddenly reappear. Done with her, he was.

A fine jam he put himself in. Moving on to Suzanne 2.0 because Suzanne 1.0 is what, Barry? Your excuses are messing up your narratives.

Exactly- even if your wife is alive, you still don't get to vote for her.

Ah, but he was declared guardian of her estate so he probably felt like he had POA to vote for her. Except he also knew SHE WAS DEAD which makes his choice all the more disturbing.

What a dumb, dumb thing to do anyway.

I happen to think it was spite. Thumbing his nose at her remains. I control you.

Because elections rarely turn on one vote.

His favored candidate didn't need his help. That extra endorsement wasn't going to decide the election. He did it because he could.

IMO it meant something to him, to do it. Something that had nothing to do with the election.

Total control.
