But we have since found out that Dylan actually went to bed between 8 and 9 pm. He went to bed early, according to what Dad told a family friend. [ per NG show transcript]

It was Saturday night that Dylan stayed up late. Dylan had 11 hrs of sleep on Sunday night, so I still wonder why Dad didnt try to get him up for the ride to town.

I know with my kids, if they had plans and I told them to get up and they didn't, they got left behind. The only time I insisted they get up was to go to school or when we were leaving town.

He is 13 years old. Old enough to be left alone and take care of himself. I was babysitting 5 kids younger than me by the age of 12.

As a parent, I would imagine that the dad figured if the kid wanted to see his friends bad enough, he'd have gotten out of bed when he first told him to. JMO

Can you elaborate? If you don't mind. I think it's strategic too, I have a few ideas why but mainly I can't imagine this strategy being due to lack of capability. Especially with the FBI and other agencies involved. Any key reasons you think they're operating this way? TIA

I won't go point by point, but I definitely think they're creating a comfort zone for the "person-at-large," preserving the integrity of the investigation, guarding against the "high-profile curse," among other things.

Whispers are so much easier to hear when there's silence.

Yes, that would have to be the scenario. I guess it is possible. It has happened too many times before. :rose:

Exactly- How many people saw Sigg take Jessica....none

Is Kevin Torres reporting on 9news at 6MT (9ET)? I have the livestream but it's just the shot of the city traffic.

Something keeps nagging at me. Dad hasn't seen his son for months and he makes appts. For the very 1st morning his son is waking up in his home? An appt. With his custody attorney? Is that true? So it sounds like either Dylan was going to be left on his own that first morning or go to the atty. With dad unless he went to a friends early. Is that making sense? The whole thing seems careless I guess.

I wonder if this was a scheduled appointment or an emergency appointment. Jmo

Yea, we don't know when father made this appointment.

Lots of us would like to know the answer to that one.

That about sums it up.

Perhaps it applies here, too. Less is more. The confusion was part of the strategy but the eye of the storm was always clear.

Yeah... I guess that's one of my many concerns though, is how the requests from LE are coming out... And I really don't want to get on their case because I believe they're doing a solid job and a whole lot more than we're aware of...Also I'm inclined to believe the way they're handling this case specifically is calculated vs how other cases are handled... but the information coming out is so muddled and contradictory and hard to follow.

IMO and MOO I really think holding at least one press conference and addressing the public directly, asking for individuals to come forward with whatever information LE is seeking (the 2 boys, video footage, photographs, specifically between 6pm Sunday and 12noon Monday, etc) would be very, very beneficial to the case. Let the media replay that clip over and over, put it in print verbatim, circulate that as often and widespread as possible... instead of all this junk we're dealing with. Give people the visual, the cold hard facts and requests directly from LE standing there unfiltered.. none of this burying their requests for leads in the third paragraph of a report.

Let the public know that there's a reward. Remind the public of the phone numbers they can call in tips. Put as much out there as they possibly can, safely, that is relevant to the timeline and finding Dylan. I just think they need to take control and get in front of this... I don't know, maybe I'm overreacting, I just feel things are lagging a bit and maybe there's a good reason but :banghead: that's all.

I think you should copy this post and e-mail it! Seriously.(Maybe leave the last sentence out:shush:)

Does anyone else think it may have been a better idea to do this 11 days ago?? smh

YES! YES! ... And may I add... YES! :banghead:

That's why I wondered if he and dad had been arguing/fighting over the cell and his friends and the custody issues. whatever.

The phone going dead at 8 makes me wonder if dad took it from Dylan. I have done it myself.

But all of the things still being in the backpack make me thing an angry resentful teen is saying in an obstinate way, I am NOT staying here tonight--I am going to stay at my friends house. My DD used to pack up and threaten to leave once a week when she was 13.

Did you ever ask her if you could help her pack? .....

this is a standing joke in my family from when my sister was in that phase... :giggle:

It was a divorce lawyer which could mean any number of things. Him and ER divorced in 2007 so he could be going through a 2nd divorce for all I know.

I really hate seeing all these comments about the visitation schedule. Dylan was a plane ride away. How many people could afford the ticket even every month? How practical would it be during the school year, outside of breaks? Finally, Dad did not move. Mom took Dylan and moved several hours away. So why are we blaming Dad for the situation?

Thank you! Yes, I think bookmarking it might be good for me -lol. Not proud to admit that I know Irish Standard Time, Eastern European Time, and Central European Time but I was unable to nail down what time it was in Denver. Oops!

Dylan was at his dad's in September.

And we don't know when Dad found out he was getting Dylan for Thanksgiving. If he had him for Labor Day, then it wasn't every other holiday.

Who knows what he knew when he made the attorney appointment.
