From the other thread, for those who asked about what my 13yo thinks about Dylan not texting after 8pm:

She said it depends on what the last text said. If he was in the middle of a conversation or waiting for a reply, then yes, it would be weird. If it was more like, " c ya or ttyl," then not so much. She said that just because he texts a lot, doesn't mean he texts with a lot of different people.

She also said that since he didn't have a smartphone, his iPod (if it's an iPod touch) would probably be just as important as his phone to him.

On a side note-she didn't know about the hitchhiking possibility until last night. She said his friends must be really, really worried about him for them to rat him out like that.

:twocents:

IMO Dylan"s friends may very well be the ones to look a little harder at..Dylan was unhappy about going to Dad"s, was that just because of Dad or did something happen between him and one of his friends? maybe just someone there that he felt uncomfortable around..The older brother made a statement that Dylan knew if he had a problem while he was at Dad"s all he had to do was call, and just like before, he, his mom or step-dad would come.this statement in itself leads me to think there was some sort of problem before, wish I knew who with, as it might answer alot of questions.. Oh they can get prints.
the remote controll the bathroom door
a glass for milk or water a soda can.
the handle to flush the toilet. the faucet to turn on and off the water the front door handles he had to use all or some of these things.

Oh his prints would be in the truck.

Even if they get some unknown fingerprints from the truck or home, what are they going to compare them to?
Presumably they don't even have Dylan's fingerprints for comparison.

Nothing. Video of Dylan at Walmart doesn't exactly prove he arrived at home. All the video proves is that he made it to Walmart.

Wish we had more :( I've been watching too many true crime shows, but I'm really afraid that they wasted a good amount of time in the beginning.

Agree on the first part. His mother said he had been up until 4 a.m. the day of the flight. It was late afternoon, he was tired. Maybe he didn't feel like smiling and looking happy.
Not sure about the second part, it's a possibility. But wasn't it about 45 minutes to an hour from the airport to Dad's house? Unless he was a specific target, I can't see a stranger following them that far and then waiting around for the opportunity to grab Dylan. How well traveled is the road from Durango to Dad's house? Wouldn't he notice if a strange vehicle was following them the whole way? Especially if there were any turns they had to make?

I haven't heard his mother saying anything like that. I believe it was the father who claimed Dylan was up the previous night.

I agree the walmart vid doesn't prove he made it home. But I think the walmart vid proves he made it further than just ' into la plata co' , which they seemed unsure of last week. That coupled with some possible findings at the home, scent, clothing, whatever, may prove he did make it inside the house. If they've changed the missing time from sunday night to monday, then they must know something. Although 11:45 sunday night versus 1:15 monday morning would be hard to prove. ( those times I just pulled out of hat, they are not mentioned anywhere )

Something from mom's house would have his prints on them for comparison .

I agree, it's only a possiblity. It's also only a possibility that they are specifically looking for MR's vehicle(s), since they haven't come out and said what they are looking for. I don't know the answers to your questions, since I live across the country and have never visited there, but they are valid questions. I would probably notice, but I'm not sure my husband would, unless the person was following very closely or driving erratically. He just doesn't think that way.

I'm just trying to keep an open mind and look at things from every angle, until there is solid evidence that points us one way or the other.

When did they ever change the missing time? Did they ever before claim he was missing since Sunday? I don't think so. Official story is that he went missing on Monday. I have no idea why people are reading so much into them saying he has been missing since Monday, as I don't believe they ever claimed he was missing since Sunday.

His prints would be all over his bedroom at home.

OT..sorry

Hogwash..I love your name!

When my DD was just a little munchkin,my Dad (funniest guy you'll ever meet)took her to our local "Farm and Ranch" store. He instructed her to ask the salesman, who was a good friend of ours, for some "hogwash". SO...off she went to ask for her hogwash. My dad thought the salesman would get a real kick outta that. A few minutes later...here comes my daughter with a bottle of soap especially for pigs! With a BIG smile on her face she proudly hands the bottle to her Grandpa..and says "The jokes on you Papa".
Papa had met his match for sure.

Thank you, Seajay. I guess the problem that I have is that same press release is still asking for information on Sunday, which kind of implies that they haven't filled in all of the time slots there. I could be reading it wrong, but here it is:

"The Task Force is still requesting any recreational video footage or photographs that include vehicles traveling on any routes between Durango and Vallecito Lake, taken between 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 18 through noon on Monday November 19. Citizens who have video footage or photographs that may be helpful to the investigation are asked to call dispatch at (970) 385-2900 to make an arrangement to get a copy of the footage or photographs to the Task Force."

Bumping this and bolding this part again:

Sounds to me like they are still looking into activities Sunday night.

theres been no claims that I've seen saying he's been missing since sunday

however LE have asked for any recreational video from all routes between durango and vallecito from 6pm sunday until noon monday.

we haven't heard of any confirmed sightings of Dylan past the sunday evening so that could be what people are looking at too.

Bender fromt he sheriffs department said last week ' we know he arrived in la plata co and after that we don't know much ' or ' that is all we know' or some type of language that made it seem as if LE wasn'
t sure he ever made it to dad's house , as if he got off plane and vanished shortly thereafter. So that why I find it encouraging to hear them say monday and show the vids from walmart . It seems to negate that previous statement about not sure waht happened to him after arriving off plane.
Sorry for confusion.

Isn't that Walmart in Durango? It wouldn't even prove Dylan arrived at Vallecito Lake.

Very interesting. I wonder why they are limiting this until noon Monday, and not up until the time Dylan was reported missing?

I think this is their window.
