I took a time out from WS last night after Dylan's pictures were released. I guess just seeing him in likely his last moments was too much. What happened to him soon after the WalMart photo was taken? Someone knows. One way or another, Dylan needs to be returned to those who love him. Now!

Hey I agree I cant understand why everyone is saying hes so tired.
It was a Sunday no school since friday so what if he stayed up late the night before it wasnt an early flight. Kids are kids. I can see boredom being to blame.
And he possibly just wanted to be somewhere else.

kids also exaggerate about how late they stayed up, especially to the parent they are not usually with. the old mum lets me stay up when really Mum sends them to bed at 9pm but the cheeky kids text and phone half the night.

I think the release of the photos means that the search of home and vehicles of MR's yielded nothing useful or substantial and that they may have been leaning MR's direction in this and now they are back at square one and needing (15 days later) to get his picture out there and everyone on the lookout or jog a memory .
I think the release of these photos means MR is probably not only not being called a suspect at this time but not going to be called a suspect in the future.
Anyone agree?

I think the clothes Dylan is wearing in the pictures are the clothes he was last seen in. Dad may have been thinking the DC shirt was a Nike shirt when he described what Dylan was wearing. My husband would probably just say a black shirt and wouldn't have remembered the logo on it.

Durango, CO – The Dylan Redwine Task Force (comprised of members of the La Plata County Sheriff’s Office, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Colorado Bureau of Investigation, Durango Police Department and Bayfield Marshall’s Office) continues its active investigation in the disappearance of 13-year old Dylan Redwine who has been missing from his father’s house since Monday, November 19.

IMO LE are sending out mixed messages if many are reading that they are focusing on Sunday for when Dylan went missing.

So somewhere between searching the home of MR and probably finding his scent on clothes or what not there and the videos from walmart, they have officially changed his last sighting to monday morning? Previously they were saying sunday night, but now it looks like all that sunday night stuff is out the window. Dylan made it home to dad's house and was inside that house at some point . That actually eliminates a alot of possibilities and a lot of terrain. Hopefully they can narrow it further.
Come on kiddo , send up a smoke signal .

That's one of the frustrating bits, we don't know why they think it was criminal. I get the impression it was process of elimination - they haven't found evidence that he voluntarily left, since he hasn't shown up at a friend's place or was found nearby shivering in the woods. If the police have some kind of proof it was criminal in nature, they haven't shared that proof with us AFAIK.

Just a guess, but perhaps because criminal investigations are more intense than runaways. If you look back at various cases of teens missing, you may find that LE takes it more seriously when there is a possibility that one was abducted than they do when there is strong belief that they ran away.

I don't know that trying to read anything into his facial expressions would be much use - he was in Walmart and probably not that excited to be there after his long trip. I'd hate to see some of my facial expressions while I'm shopping - especially if my boys are with me, wrestling each other up and down the aisles! :notgood:

This is my first post, but I have been following from the very first day and just wanted to say that you guys are doing a great job with the little information the public has been given. I have no suggestions that haven't already been covered, but I am hoping with all of my might that Dylan is ok somewhere, although it's not looking too good

I can't read anything into his facial expressions. Those pictures are grainy stills taken from video. Ever looked at the expressions on someone's face when you pause your DVR? It's a fraction of a second in time, and you can see some very odd expressions on someone's face in that second.

I also think that the footage from Sunday night and Monday morning could well be to see what other cars were in the area then. Did someone follow them home from Walmart Sunday night? Is there a car on Sunday night and then again Monday morning that doesn't belong in the area?

Still praying for Dylan, and for all of his family members, and hoping for news today.

Agree on the first part. His mother said he had been up until 4 a.m. the day of the flight. It was late afternoon, he was tired. Maybe he didn't feel like smiling and looking happy.
Not sure about the second part, it's a possibility. But wasn't it about 45 minutes to an hour from the airport to Dad's house? Unless he was a specific target, I can't see a stranger following them that far and then waiting around for the opportunity to grab Dylan. How well traveled is the road from Durango to Dad's house? Wouldn't he notice if a strange vehicle was following them the whole way? Especially if there were any turns they had to make?

From the other thread, for those who asked about what my 13yo thinks about Dylan not texting after 8pm:

She said it depends on what the last text said. If he was in the middle of a conversation or waiting for a reply, then yes, it would be weird. If it was more like, " c ya or ttyl," then not so much. She said that just because he texts a lot, doesn't mean he texts with a lot of different people.

She also said that since he didn't have a smartphone, his iPod (if it's an iPod touch) would probably be just as important as his phone to him.

On a side note-she didn't know about the hitchhiking possibility until last night. She said his friends must be really, really worried about him for them to rat him out like that.

Unless his school has some kind of program that keeps records of fingerprints from their students, which is possible. Come to think about it, my son had an ID card the school made, I think in first grade, but I can't remember if it had his fingerprint or not.
However, getting a clear print from an object that has been handled by more than one person would not be easy, most of the prints would probably be smudged, just from handling it.

Oh they can get prints.
the remote controll the bathroom door
a glass for milk or water a soda can.
the handle to flush the toilet. the faucet to turn on and off the water the front door handles he had to use all or some of these things.

Oh his prints would be in the truck.

I think I've read every post, but maybe I missed something. How do you figure they've accounted for Sunday completely? Maybe I'm naive, but I always assumed that Mr. Redwine was telling the truth about the airport and Wal-Mart. He seems like a bright man, and everyone knows (I think) that cameras are usually recording in those places, so to claim he was there if he wasn't wouldn't make any sense.

Sadly, I don't think I learned anything from the pictures, though I appreciated them -- they showed me that Dylan arrived at the airport, and went to Wal-Mart. They don't tell my anything about what happened after that point.

What am I missing?

Nothing. Video of Dylan at Walmart doesn't exactly prove he arrived at home. All the video proves is that he made it to Walmart.
