Do we know he didn't cleanup? Maybe he was just telling us that when he came home dylans dirty cereal bowl was left out. Doesn't mean it wasn't washed up by the time he called LE.

We don't know about dishes, but we know days later that a reporter noted Dylan's bedding still laid crumpled on the sofa. So to some extent he did not tidy. Some of us are just that way, though. I leave teen mess for teens to pick up, too.

I only make my bed when guests are coming over :blushing:

Well I'm sitting here thinking we (my little family) must be quite the piggies! The unmade beds, a few dirty dishes near the sink, plus a scattering of dirty clothes are all the norm in our house! We hit panic stations and have a major clean up every other Wednesday - the day before I have a lovely lady come in to mop and polish for me :panic:

So it sounds quite normal for a bloke who lives on his own to not be bothered with a dish and some bedding or stray clothes.

I do too somewhat, but not dirty dishes. Also, and this is maybe just me, but if my kid were visiting me after not seeing him for approx 2.5 mos, I would demand nothing of him as far as clean up. However, I would demand communication as far as plans, where he's going, with whom, how's he getting there, when do I pick him up, does he need any money, are the other parents cool with the plans, etc. He's 13 and his friends are close to that age also. It's not like he's 18.

Oh! And hitchhiking is not an option! We can and will figure something out, but hitchhiking is just stupid!

I don't remember ever seeing the parents actually going out into the fields with the search teams. Usually they make them stay and work in the command center or give out the water or help with the phones.

I don't have a problem with it, but it seems unusual, because I wouldnt think they would want a parent or sibling to personally come upon the remains. :rose:

Wasn't it Linnea Lomax's mother who found her body during a search? And I'm sure that's not the only incident.

I definitely see what you're saying, though, it is odd.

Thank you for all the replys :D

I would not say I am partially tidy but when I have 4 hours at home and Dylan sleeps on the couch it seems odd he did not at least tidy that up as its being used during the day to sit on you would assume . And it looks untidy if somebody pops in .

blankets on a couch I would have at least folded them by the afternoon. Dishes would have been done as soon as they got used if I had time.

Everyone has different housekeeping standards, some days my place looks messy others its tidy and organised.

My favorite Aunty got tired of picking up after her husband when they first married, soooo all his clothes he had left laying on the floor she threw out of the upstairs window. Happily he learnt his lesson that day and she never needed to resort to to that again. It makes me chuckle thinking of my uncles embarrassment and horror.

Maybe MR wanted to leave everything until LE was through with their searches.

Volunteers search for clues in Dylan Redwine case

Authorities say Dylan could still be found alive. Saturday marked 20 days since Dylan was last seen.
"We are looking for Dylan," said Lieutenant Ed Phippen, a La Plata County Sheriff's Office investigator. "We are not looking for Dylan in the past tense. We want to find Dylan and return him to his family."

Errm some of us are just messy - it's Sunday evening here and there are some breakfast and lunch plates in my sink as we speak here, nor has my bed been made (nor have my sons' - but that is just the norm for them) either seeing I have spent a lazy day popping in and out checking in on this site and others :)

Me too.

I never make my bed, apparently it's better to leave the covers back and let it air out.

Just from the article you quoted above this stood out:
People who know Dylan described him as friendly and outgoing. "He's not afraid to meet new people," said R N, 13, a former classmate of Dylan.
I am wondering if this was prompted by a specific question asked by whoever was interviewing R - otherwise it seems an odd or out of context thing to mention IMO. We really are at the mercy of journalists and how they choose to put their stories together.
I know it's been said lots of times - but I hope they have looked into Dylan's online history - my sons play a couple of online games both on computer and xbox - and those games allow players to chat live via microphone or in message or forum format with people from all over the world if they want to.

Yay for airing beds - I knew I was not making them for some sound reason! :woohoo:

I've just been looking at DR's facebook page - mainly to see if anything or anyone jumped out as a bit "off". Good to see he at least has his privacy settings so that strangers like me can't check out his posts. I noticed that some of his friends have changed their profile pics to ones of Dylan - and there are a couple there that we haven't seen in MSM at least - including one or two with his longer hair. He looks a different boy when he is grinning and his teeth are showing. This would all be so hard and confusing for young friends who knew him well :(

Good grief! Do you people ever sleep around here?

Notice in the recent article, LE says they do not feel they have a sex offender out there abducting children. So does this mean they think....?

Dylan, please come home! Everyone is looking for you son!

I'm about to sleep, the last few very late nights have caught up with me.

I'm not sure what to make of what LE has said today, its about as clear as mud in some ways.

I was hoping todays search would uncover more, we need there to be a break that brings Dylan home.

praying for some news when I awake

Unless the he tv left on , bed messy and the cereal bowl left out was not staged , why in the 4 hours MR was home did he not clear up ?

It seems odd that he is at home and waiting on his son to text him that he just left everything as it were without tidying up . Unless he had staged it and could not clean it up until the right people had seen the staging ?????

*touches finger to tip of nose*

Bingo!

MOO

Mark Redwine, second from left, discusses the area he and the volunteers in his group will be covering Saturday morning on County Road 240 near Edgemont Ranch.

(I just wanted to post this as confirmation of where he searched.)

I may have missed this but when MR came home to Dylan being gone, have we heard in regards to how he thinks DR may have left?

Seen as he was obviously assuming that he had gone to his friends house. IIRC, it was ER and DR's friends that mentioned that he may have hitchhiked in previous times?

My idea would be county road...don't know which one.

Yes, where I live CR means county road. They are sometimes referred to as a highway , but they are small, generally one lane each way. They are also referred to as an FM , FARM to MARKET road... CR/ FM

I still find it odd he did not even make the bed !

No one in my house makes the bed EVER, unless company is coming over.
We're just slobs I guess.

Well, there goes my theory that family members probably helped in more of a support capacity instead of searching.

(However, I do see the cop in the group. Anyone else spot him? MOO)
