yep, this is what I remember as well..so, if I'm not mistaken other than this we had no further details, confirmation, or sources on how 9news obtained their info..

The only reason I find it remarkable is that there are very few people/places that the reporter could have learned of this item being collected from the search warrant executed on the home..
a) LE
b) Mark Redwine
c) if on the scene while the search was taking place somehow was able to catch a glimpse or overhear the iPod was collected

Ummm my daughter is 30 and I'm sad to say her favorite channel is still Nick, doesn't matter if it's jr, teen etc and at night I have to admit I like to watch King of the Hill.

Different people different tastes, there are plenty of teens that watch Nick. I started asking as I was kinda worried about her way before she was 30.:waitasec:

they could have also confused it with other statements made about the ipod... ipods are very small... and they would have most likely put it in a paper bag..

it was also reported pretty much right after so I don't think MR would have had a return of warrant yet (what items taken from his home) not to mention he was not at the house when it was served.

I think it is bad reporting...

I'd be interested to see any data/statistical analysis of the accuracy of above types of search and rescue dogs. Wonder if there is a reputable author/website to obtain this information, if it exists...?

I'm not a "verified" source for SAR but I do own a "top of the line" GSD imported from Germany and know how rigorous the training is for the dog AND the handler.

Setting aside the math/statistical problems of distribution, population, sampling sizes, variables, probability, etc. for a moment and focusing strictly on the "subjects". Not to say that it couldn't be done but I'd think would be difficult to obtain much less ascertain complete & accurate histories for the trainer's, handler's and the dog's; length of training, quality of training, skills (positive "hits" &"misses"), etc... IF those records/histories could be obtained - finding a large enough group of subject samples & controls would be equally as challenging.

JMO... and the ramblings of a brain with a wichad migraine approaching.

For what it's worth there are 4 choices on most cable providers, or fios, or satellite. I would suspect he does have a satellite provider being in the mountains. Just depends on what you want to pay for. jmo

so as not to paraphrase nor analyze, IMO one can safely surmise that 'nothing' means 'nothing'. zilch. zippo. nada.

Well for me this means that Dylan was at MR's house Sun. night because if he had not been there that would have been helpful to the investigation.

If LE could prove that Dylan never made it to his father's house on Sunday, I feel 100% sure that he would be in custody now. So either they don't know, or they know that he was. Basically, I am not sure even sure they know for sure.

Now I have a question... why would Dylan pull clothes out of his backpack if he wasn't going to wear them?

When my son's friends came over to spend the night or a couple of days they all did that. I'd walk in the room and there would be 3 bookbags with all their clothes laying in a pile beside the bookbag and that pile was the source of their apparel while they were there. I just assumed it was a guy/teenager thing but my daughter did it too and her friends.

or....he could have been looking for that second pay as you go phone I suspect he may have had.

I dont think they found any evidence whatsoever that Dylan was harmed in his home.

Or would have been interviewed more and more and more.

I think there is a lot going on behind the scenes and all I can say based on a hunch I have is that I hope they have accessed a lot of people's text messages, phone records, etc.

I think that Sponge Bob is appealing to most kids even older ones(as my kids all watch him, and oldest is a boy age 15). I did look and I think SpongeBob comes on DTV at 8am, and nothing else after sponge bob would appeal to my children(other than my 4 year old) Sponge bob is over by 9:30(unless it was on teennick, and you have to have subscription for that channel and I don't)

Because to do so might put the focus somewhere else that they don't want to be known yet...LE is not going to give anything away.

oh well....

I have my suspicions and feelings and certainly respect everyone elses.

As I said before I learned a BIG lesson with the things I said and thought about Clint Heichel (Whitney's husband) as did a lot of body language analysis experts and we were so wrong.

The fact that LE concentrated so much search time and energy on the route MR would have driven Monday night makes me think they aren't sure Dylan made it Vallecito. I brought it up before, but it sounded to me (from what I heard on the scanner Saturday) that the searchers were looking for McDonald's items. Why, I'm not sure, but my hunch is that it probably fits into this question somehow. Anyway, I'm not saying one way or another whether Dylan made it to Mark's Sunday night, I don't really have a feeling one way or the other, and it seems to me to be something that's very up in the air for law enforcement as well.
