at 3 mins 19 secs MR goes to break down and it looks like he may cry but he completes switches it around and becomes calm again at 3.21 mins. I think that is a pretty quick change to go from. Its like a light switch going of and on IMO.
Wow someone brought this up on The missing page, I went to listen to the uncut interveiw, and they are right, He says it, when referring to Dylan.
Taking a look back, can anyone remember when MR said that he had money set aside for Dylan's college? I can't find that. IMO it's odd that in his memory he is FOTY but no confirmation from anyone. Besides, I know that many colleges offer free tuition to dependants of employees so I would imagine that ER has that covered.
TIA

Here you go:
Although it isn't a direct quote from MR, it was reported...
I agree about the college reimbursement - I put my 3 through college because my employer paid for it (university).
Article Dated: December 20th, 2012 - Durango Herald
Dylan hadnt talked much about what he wants to be when he grows up. He tossed around the idea of joining the army after high school.
His dad wants him to go to college and has saved money to pay for it.
I dont have a college education, and I see how hard it is for me to make ends meet, said Mark, who works at United Pipeline Systems. He wants more for Dylan, he said."

Thank you and I agree, the colleges offer courses as a benefit to employees and qualified dependents.
:truce:
Does anyone remember the spectacle of Susan Smith pleading on national TV so desperately for the return of her babies?
Just moo, but I think many times the different ways parents respond to a tragedy like this may be gender based. Not trying to generalize or be sexist at all, but women and men have both natural and cultural ways of processing and providing info that are just not going to be the same in any given situation. And then throw in the fact that we humans are all individuals anyway, and you wind up with the potential for literally a vast spectrum of personal responses.
So I just don't think a lack of pleading on MRs part means anything at all.
I also think that because there is such a scarcity of evidence here that we may tend to way overthink things and infer far too much significance to the smallest nuances of behaviors and verbalizations in our efforts to resolve this sad and VERY frustrating case. It is almost as if Dylan has just vanished into a void! I pray for some small shred of evidence to come to light soon.
One simple question that I have been thinking of over and over...Was it normal for Dylan to wear the same cloths from one day to the next? Seems as though they are confident enough about the clothing he was wearing to put the info on his missing flyer, but is this normal for him? I am aware that he would get ready the evening before, but would he wear the same clothing 2 days in a row?

The questions I am speaking of, are questions many of us at WS asked before he stopped talking to MSM. Remember we were all talking of the fishing pole, and then he claims I don't know why they are just now going to the lake they knew from the beginning that he might of had his fishing pole. I could go from there, but I don't want to paraphrase alot of it, so would need links, and really don't have time for all that today.

He is incredible calm considering his son is missing. Look at the different reaction that Elaine has compared to MR .
IMO he is just stumbling over his words - MR clearly says "he" initially, and to imply that he is intentionally referring to Dylan as "it" is a huge reach.
My boys will do this (especially during holidays) unless I call them out on it. When I do - they get most indignant about how the clothes are still clean and why shouldn't they wear them again. And this will sometimes extend past 2 days in a row :/
That is true, but Dylan is 13. Does anyone really feel so safe in their job these days to bank on having that benefit in 5 years? I know I wouldn't.
My husband is a fully tenured professor, so he feels *pretty* confident. But yeah, I think many people are unsure of their future.
