So many of these missing children come from backgrounds of unhappy parents, with bad break-ups or divorces or other partners in the picture; Dylan, Kyron, Haleigh, Hailey, Ayla, Sky, Aliayah, Amir Jennings, even little Skylar who was found dead last night. I wonder why that is; often the custodial parent has gone through so much to get custody and the other parent to get visitation, and someone the child still slips into the void. I know that logically it probably does not mean anything, but maybe some of the children are more vulnerable to the "kindness" of an adult approaching them? At least some of the older missing children. I don't know...just something I have noticed. Only a small number of the missing kids here seem to be from an original two-parent home.

I think that might be a key point in some cases. I used to work in a middle school, and we would get cases where kids would come and tell the office that other kids were talking to strangers online, maybe even planning to meet up with them. We had 2 cases where girls ran off with online friends.
In all of the cases that I knew of where the kids wanted to meet online friends in person, they were kids with very few friends in real life, and kind of lonely family lives.
