I'm not getting the same thing as you are from what she said. I can't even figure out how to get there from here.

If she believes he was neglectful for leaving him home alone, then she believes he was at home when MR left. MOO

Do we know for a fact that LE does not know about Dylan's phone? What if MR took the phone away from Dylan on the ride home or upon arrival at home? What if MR told LE this from the beginning? Do we have anyway to know this?
MOO

Yes, they said early on that there's been no activity after around 8pm on Sunday. That they've been monitoring or tracking his phone-- nothing whatsoever since that time. That's how they ruled out runaway as a possibility.
I believe if MR took the phone away at some point and told LE, LE would know and they wouldn't be discussing the cell like it's missing too. I don't think MR has the cell somewhere in his house, as he just took it away from Dylan for the evening if that's the question.

She says is angry at the person who "lost" (quotes are hers) him. The comment says nothing about being left home alone.

ETA: Sorry just noticed that in a follow up post she says he shouldn't have been left alone so soon.

I'm referring to ER's comment that's underneath the post that was being discussed.

This should take you right to it, but if not, it's at December 26th at 4:39pm.

I can't copy it here because it's against the rules, but paraphrasing again, she says Mark left Dylan alone. The only time I know Mark is supposed to have left Dylan alone is Monday morning.

My impression of Elaine's post is that she is upset at the person who "lost" her son. In fact she even put the word "lost" in quotes. To me that adds a level of sarcasm that she doesn't think Dylan was lost at all.

Then later when she was responding to someone's response about Elaine posting fingers, Elaine responds back that she's upset because Dylan was left alone so soon after arriving at his father's. I don't see her saying "father's house" so to me it isn't obvious that she believes one way or other other about Dylan arriving at MR's house. At one point this morning, she said "lost" and later today she talked about Dylan being left alone by his father.

IMO of course.

Catching up as fast as i can. I noted a couple of questions asked. Perhaps they were answered and i missed it. We have not heard if Dad locked his doors. Yes Dad does have a computer. IIRC that info came from Mom on NG.

Okay, so let's go with this theory... Per the official FB page, and according to some interpretations of ER's comment, she may be of the belief that Dylan was in fact at home that morning, safe and sound when MR left for errands.

Crime (foul-play, kidnapping, abduction) between 7:30- 11:30. Yes?

Who? Stranger? Acquaintance?

From where? House? Did Dylan set out to hitch? Nobody saw him?

Why isn't LE engaging the public, both local and in a more expanded area about those 4 hours?

Are we just writing off the unexplained cell phone from the night before?
Is MR taking a big one for the team by not being RULED OUT so the focus can properly be moved to a specific, narrow four-hour time frame when his child really went missing?
Is the virtual silence in this kind of abduction logical in helping to locate Dylan?

So very sad but more than understandable Mom is in the anger phase. I wonder where Dad is at with all this. Just wondering out loud.....

She said left alone after arriving at his father's. It's clear that by "father's" she means his house.

I wonder if he was approached to be interviewed about Dylan still missing at Christmas.

I haven't seen any posts or letters to Dylan. He may not have a facebook but since the mod for the facebook is friends with Elaine and Mark, he could certainly give her some words from him. I guess he has his reasons for not wanting to do so.

What about where she expresses frustration at Dylan being "lost"

I read it that way too - ER stating that she is furious with MR for leaving Dylan alone so soon after arriving IMO implies that she is acknowledging that she thinks something happened to Dylan while MR was away from the house.

We should all be able to voice alternate theories without fear of others getting hostile or suggesting they are ridiculous. Yes, many people are holding fast with their thoughts about dad being at the centre of this - but it seems we can't explore the phone stopping, or whether or not they were seen at McDonalds, or what was found in MR's home or vehicles any further unless LE reveals that info, and until then IMO we are kind of deadlocked. We can only keep saying the same things over and over so many times, until posters give up out of boredom or frustration and leave the thread altogether.

I don't believe anyone here thinks ER is to blame for any of this - I have spent a lot of time imagining how she is coping, as well as how I would manage in the same situation. I know we all find strength somehow, but right now I can imagine myself being a blubbering wreck. I am a crier, and when I get started I can't stop or speak. In that amount of pain I doubt that I could string a sentence together for any reporter so in my eyes she has done remarkably well on that score.

Anyhow when I have seen anything remotely critical of ER or CR being said I have taken it with a grain of salt. IMO those things are said out of frustration from those who see MR as a victim also, and as such wish he could be discussed with some fairness or compassion - at least until more actual evidence confirms otherwise.

She also expands on this later in the same comments - to say his father shouldn't have left him alone so soon after he arrived.

I interpret that comment as meaning that she is angry that Dylan's dad left him alone at the home .

I suspect that Dylan's mom and law enforcement have information we don't have which definitely places Dylan in his dad's home on Monday morning.

That is my humble and honestly considered opinion.

Nvm - silly OT post by me that made no sense!

Only LE can confirm anything and since there has been very little as far as confirmation, we are just mincing words. I am not so sure that Elaine would use the word "lost" if she was convinced that Dylan went missing from Dad's house. But of course just like everyone else here, none of us really knows what she means when she types an emotional letter to her missing son or when she is responding to some disrespectful post. IMO

And I don't suspect anything of the sort.

I have to disagree but I'm not sure it really matters. I think the "lost" (quotes are hers) is the most telling part of that post. That poor woman knows what happened to her baby and it is destroying her.
