And if the phone/battery or whatever did quit working, WHY didn't Dylan use his dad's phone, home phone or computer to call his Mom or his friends? Elaine seems like a Mom that would have somehow arranged for him to get a phone on Monday when his dad was running errands or one of his friends probably had an old phone laying around he could use.

This is one of few FACTS we have in this case - Dylan ceased ALL communications sometime after 8 pm on Sunday.

Other facts we know:

Dylan has everything with him
Dylan did arrive at the Durango Airport
Dylan did go to Walmart

Any other facts I'm missing??...

MR went to his lawyers office on the 19th

I don't think this is a fact but I don't think Dylan wanted to be there . He sends a text with a scowl face when he texts mum , his first night in town and he had made plans with friends ( yes he should of arrived the night before but he could of canceled them and he choose not to ).

Then when MR says he can not go that night he makes plans for first thing in the morning 6:30am .

It seems to me that Dylan did not want to spend time with MR that evening or the following day .

( also not jumping for joy on the walmart video)

Wonder if it was an appointment that was made at the lawyers office, or did he actually just show up for some reason? Cuz that would be like giving yourself a stamp of where you were if you wanted to make sure you had someone say you were some where.

But LE said on 11/28/12 (9 days after he was reported missing):

This statement has always bothered me. It has been previously stated that there were no activity or something on his phone some time after 8 pm Sunday night. But he wasn't "reported missing" until Monday sometime between 5 and 6 pm. Are they trying to tell us that when his phone stopped working/pinging/whatever is when he "really" went missing? Or am I trying to read more into it because LE has given us so little?

Twenty law officers on Wednesday continued their door-to-door visits and inspection of buildings that began Tuesday with the hope of finding someone with information who can help solve the mystery of Dylan’s disappearance.

I was hunting for this last night when we were discussing neighbors, friends, etc. So LE was continuing to do their door-to-door visits (I would think they started knocking on doors the 19th and 20th), possibly no one at all saw Dylan arrive at the house on Sunday? Or possibly someone saw Mark coming and going at odd hours by himself?

Sixty people looked for Dylan Redwine around Vallecito Reservoir and Forest Lakes on Thursday. They also passed out fliers and knocked on doors seeking clues about his whereabouts.

Members of La Plata County Search & Rescue searched for Dylan Monday night and all day Tuesday, using ground search teams and search dogs.

The search area includes the shoreline around Vallecito Lake, several small subdivisions, two county roads, steep wooded hillsides and hiking trails.

Many of the homes in the area are seasonal, while some are occupied year around.

ETA: I don't think this is understood? So many of the homes around Vallecito Reservoir are seasonal. The homes are 2nd homes whether the owners live in-state or out of state.

My kids cell phone charger is like their umbilical cord!
The thing is ringing all the time. not phone calls but text messages
My youngest son has like 30,000 text messages a month and maybe 4 phone calls a month lol
I do not for one second think his phone died I think it was silenced

If Dylan had used the landline, wouldn't he have contacted R? And I think R made it clear he never heard from Dylan again after Sunday evening.

Well he didnt want his son going to see his friends but it was ok for him to leave him alone all morning while he did STUFF!


I think if Mr R wanted dylan up he would have been UP!

I think if Dylan was there he would have been up and ready to leave in the morning!

They confirmed where he was but they did not say whether it was by appointment, as far as I know.

Right which all we know at this point is his lawyer...what else I wonder that LE didn't tell us, or maybe it was just the lawyer...still was it an appointment or just a run in and talk with em cuz I am in town kinda thing...Truckers usually get special treatment since they aren't home all the time.

When my kids were that age, they lost or broke their flip phones way too often. And they always managed to call me immediately to figure out how we could get a new battery or a new phone.
