Elaine clearly has a camera so if it's a trip of the lifetime then you would just lend him that one or buy him one as they are not expensive .
IMO - you do not do a trip like that and then not take any photos . Everybody takes photos of anything now . It's the norm !

The only thing I can think of is that MR doesn't have a camera, but that wouldn't undo the fact that this trip was probably (in theory) one of the coolest trips Dylan ever took (in theory) and he would no doubt want a few pictures from the trip. I don't know- camera phones, disposable throw away cameras, borrow moms- something.
If there's one thing I know, it's baseball and Dylan clearly loves baseball... A kid from Colorado going cross country to Fenway Park - that's the trip of a lifetime! and that kid's gonna want pictures in front of the green monster, of himself as close as he can get to the field, watching the game, smiling excitedly with a hotdog in hand a Boston hat on the head.
I don't expect MR to have a flickr account and framed vacation photos, but I would think Dylan would have really wanted pictures and MR would've made that happen on this super cool trip.
