Did you see the new interviews with ER & CR? Someone posted them earlier today.

Nope, I musta missed them. Any new news? Any new interesting leads? Or is it a grieving parent & brother sharing their pain?

I was thinking about Dylan as I was driving home today...I would be curious to know if Dylan's fingerprints were found on the door of MR's home...if he was there that morning and left the house, then I would think he would have possibly left a print on the knob when he opened the door to leave. Or....if some strange person opened the door there would be unknown prints. By the time the police did a detailed search of the home days had passed and any prints were probably destroyed, though.
FWIW, I am not 100 convinced that MR is guilty, nor do I want him to be guilty but I would have to say I consider it a possibility.
I was reading the story of the boy whose grandparents were upset their son was losing custody and kidnapped him, and he was just found after many years....maybe there is some extended family member who wasn't happy about the way things were going with Dylan and his moms recent move out of the area. That would be the best case scenario ( if there is such a thing) because it would mean he wasn't being physically harmed and is still alive somewhere with some misguided relative.

well, the brother does claim in the video that MR does not take another poly and is keeping the investigation from moving forward and taking the focus off of himself

that of course is CR's claim but I found that part interesting.

(caveat: it did not come from LE.. but from CR)

But they kidnapped a 5 yr old. I don't see how it would work with w 13 yr old. Especially one who loved his friends and family and would want to go home.

iMO, some posters, myself included, have been open to scenarios that have nothing to do with MR until we remember the phone seemingly dropping off the face of the earth at eight the night before. So it is not MR, necessarily, but the phone, that stands in the way, for me, in believing his version right now.

Allow me to point out that we don't know exactly what the police know about the phone. We know Dylan last texted at ~8pm on Sunday. I don't think we know when the last location of his cell was picked up - it could have been on the road, or at MR's house, or another location entirely, but we haven't been told this information. His phone could have been on for some time after 8pm.

This is true.

This is true.

But it is wishful thinking.

With the case you were discussing, the grandparents having the 5 yr old for 18 yrs. How the heck did they get away with it for so long? Didnt anyone ever come check them out after the kidnapping?

I think they were living under assumed names.

I think Cluciano's point is that Dylan would have been using it. Period. It had no activity.

I did say seemingly...and when LE spoke on the NG show, it was the impression I formed.

True. It's not the impression I got, LE could be clearer on that point but perhaps there is a reason.

And I think that can factor in to how I feel about the case. Example: say the last time his cell phone was "picked up" was well within range of a tower on the drive to Vallecito. That would bring different theories than if the cell phone stopped calling home at MR's house at 3am. Or even the next day at 9am at MR's house. See what I mean?

I just got the impression that LE said 8pm for a reason.

If Dylan is not found?
I doubt there will be an arrest, if he is not located. Even then it could be difficult.

I have thought the same thought all along, that even if Dylan's body is found, what will it prove unless there is SOME forensic evidence, and after this long, what would the body reveal? Even if there is trauma to the body, would it reveal who caused the trauma? I want him to be found at least for his mother's sake.

On the NG show ER said Sunday at 8:00. Bender said sometime Sunday evening.

What happened at 8 PM? The last text message?

Not sure. That is the only time mentioned in relation to the end of phone activity, though.

The last text he sent to his friend was shortly after 8 pm.

Possibly cell pings could help, if someone known to LE had their phone ping at the site where Dylan is ultimately found, if he is.

If they have GPS on their phone, or made a call while there. MOO
