There is as well the possibility that the task force members chose to do an in depth interview with MR in order to clarify items identified on the polygraph instead of doing a second one since he agreed to it.
This was done without a lawyer as well.
Not likely, IMO. LE doesn't give someone a pass if they fail or have inconclusive results on a poly. They politely request a second one. Of course MR had the right to refuse, lawyer or not. I believe most adults are aware of that right, but that is just my opinion.
