I agree, but it's possible he may get mad enough to come out & speak to the press...that maybe what she is hoping??? IDK

He would have done that right after her initial accusations, MOO.

I honestly just don't even know what to think anymore. I know if I was an outsider looking in (meaning if I hadn't been following this case since day 1) I'd be over it. There is way too much Jerry Springer going on. Reading the Facebook pages is like being in the Twilight Zone. If I hadn't already invested as much time as I have, I'd tune this case out. I don't feel the key players are being 100% truthful. Any of them. It's all a big fight at Dylan's expense. It's a shame. JMO

ETA: ER's flip flopping is worse than any politician. It was just what, a week ago, she said she didn't think MR harmed him, now she does.

This is the kind of stuff that makes someone uninterested.

Elaine's thinking reminds me a bit of Desiree Young's. Didn't Desiree also believe that Terri might have given Kyron to someone? That he was stashed somewhere?

I think it's partly wishful thinking and not wanting to think of the other options. I think it's almost beyond impossible for her to imagine Dylan's Dad doing something to harm him. This is a man she once loved and had children with and the thought that he could do something to hurt him must be so incredibly disturbing to her.

I think MR is a complete coward for not talking to her or the media and it only makes him look more guilty to the public. JMHO!!

And.... I said 'I don't know that she necessarily believes that he harmed him, but believes he's involved'.

I think she thinks it's possible that he is hiding Dylan somewhere.

JMHO

I've been looking for an LE statement IIRC, about there not being an abduction, but, something criminal

anyone recall something like that from LE..? I cant find it

I respectfully disagree. At that point there was no media/public pressure on him to talk. People now want to hear him talk!

I believe Elaine is trying to pressure him into talking and using the media to do this. And it's smart! It may not work, but worth a try.

I humbly disagree. He was the last person known to see Dylan alive; there was pressure from both the public and LE to talk. Certainly more pressure then when the story was "hot" then now, two months later when the story is getting cold.

I guess with could disagree forever! LOL

I think there is much more public awareness about Dylan now (both locally and nationally) then there was when he first went missing. And the fact that it's been 2 months with no answers is not making the public happy. Many people want to hear MR talk.

What's Elaine's goal? To get Mark to talk to her or confess to police?

Well I don't know that she expects that. I think SHE thinks if she can get him talking he'll slip up. Liars always slip up eventually. NOT that I'm calling him a liar...but if he is.

BBM, but he's been talking to the cops. Surely, if anyone can get someone to slip up it's going to be LE, right? Yet we've heard nothing of the sort. I wish FMDR would back off and let the authorities handle everything. I think some are hindering the investigation and it's not necessarily MR. JMO

It still bothers me that the FMDR page admin has two names. I mean who has an alias like that and switches back and forth between the two often giving the impression that you are two separate people. In my opinion it harms her credibilty. I don't know maybe I'm weird but I find that to be really strange.

If my daughter would have gone missing while in my sisters care, a babysitters care, my Moms care or my ex husbands care, my first reaction would have been to lash out at this person that I entrusted to care for my child. NO MATTER WHO IT WAS!

Yeh, but publically??? I can see maybe privately, but publically??? What good would that do??? That does not get your child back. I can see "My sister Rita is the most irresponsible person I know, she lost my kid, she did something to my darling child, I know it, I think Rita smothered her!!!" Then everyone online is buzzing about how your sister killed you daughter.

And then you think Rita is going to be willing to talk to you again to be alone with you??? To ever trust you again?? Especially if she had nothing to do with it, if they later found your daughter asleep under the bed??? JMO

I did a search for Dylan Redwine on Twitter. There is not much about him. Only about a dozen tweets a day. Most tweets are from local media, or re-tweets of articles. There is not many tweets by just ordinary civilians talking about the case, or trying to get the word out. If they are trying to do some social media bonanza, maybe they should focus on Twitter?

I guess that could be her objective. Get him to make some conflicting statements that could be used against him. MOO.

Well right or wrong one appears to be a "happy thoughts only" page and the other a "conspiracy theory" page. Neither page is a middle of the road, bring Dylan home page IMO.

I think the FDR page is a conspiracy theory page too with the belief that someone is "holding" Dylan, and the whole plan to get Dylan returned, and to ask Dylan the ~special question.

Perhaps, but it's still the "official" page and the one ER endorses.

I know little about social media but I have read that Twitter is the future and Facebook will decline. Is that why you believe that Dylan's family should put more emphasis on Twitter?

  • #619
Here's my opinion on this. Elaine believes MR had something to do with Dylan's disappearance. I don't know that she necessarily believes that he harmed him, but believes he's involved. I think she has tried and tried to get MR to talk to her to no avail. So at this point she's trying to call him out.

JMHO

She has been calling him out since her very first interview. It looked like she was going to back up and try a different approach, but the new article washes that away. Honestly, I'm sorry to see it. I really thought she would make more headway using the nice talk. :(

Nope. I just think the fact that no one is talking about Dylan on Twitter tells me that a lot of people don't know about the case. Well, I guess that's obvious. There is really no one spreading the word on Twitter. On the FB page, they say they plan on doing a "state by state" social media campaign, so they do want to get the word out to many people. I don't see why not to involve Twitter too. Try to get some celebrities to re-tweet about Dylan. Just tweet about him in general, etc.
