I think what MR said was he thought that D was going to spend Monday and Tuesday with his friends [ no mention of sleepover or not] and then Wednesday he and D might go bowling and then on Thanksgiving, they were either going to go to his brothers, which was 7 hours away, or spend the day together closer to home.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...Colorado-authorities-search-fathers-home.html

Why was this reported? The article seems to be unbiased, and was written 10 days after Dylan's disappearance. Did any photos/videos of the route to MR's house handed in to the police following their request show something telling?

Could be an error, but I know that we sometimes read truths about cases in our country that are printed in foreign news articles .... truths that have been temporarily suppressed in our own country for whatever reason.

I am about 99.999 percent sure it is just lazy writing.

Maybe ... but in reading the whole article, it seems to be a pretty comprehensive (though not detailed) overview of the salient facts known until that point in time.

O/T anyone watching the Prosecuting Casey Anthony movie on Lifetime? I'm not much of a Lifetime movie person but thought I'd check this one out.

JMO, but in the USA you'll find a majority of MSM contains reporting errors. It has become a joke and a sad representation that reflects the substandard requirements that used to be considered necessary in the world of journalism.
Your reporter probably copied an article here and wasn't considering the implications of that colorful statement. Bad Reporting IMO.

Actually it was an AP reporter (which is why I gave the article some credence) and the article ran in a UK newspaper.

The AP is one of the largest and most trusted sources of independent newsgathering, supplying a steady stream of news to its members, international subscribers and commercial customers. AP is neither privately owned nor government-funded; instead, as a not-for-profit news cooperative owned by its American newspaper and broadcast members, it can maintain its single-minded focus on newsgathering and its commitment to the highest standards of objective, accurate journalism.

Perhaps they are using the initial rumors that Dylan had been seen. Turned out not to be him. LE only places him as arriving in La Plata County on Sunday, nothing confirmed after that.

Sorry, I’m still not seeing how that makes one paragraph inaccurate in an otherwise pretty solid article. However, I agree with Cluciano63’s point that it could have been old information that was printed prior to possible sightings of Dylan being discounted.

Well, we already know that there is no evidence that Dylan "set off to meet friends" and there was nothing in your post to indicate you or the journalist were considering any sightings of anyone or anything else, so when all these factors are taken into consideration along with the fact that the AP does in fact copy articles from around this and other countries, it only leaves the supposition that it is poor reporting. What else are you thinking this could possibly be anyway?

Just trying to keep an open mind, and searching the internet for anything we could have missed that may be relevant to the case. (Not that I think that is necessarily possible, with the searching and analysis that have been happening here.)

There are just not enough facts available for me to form a definite opinion in this case.

Like everyone else, I would just like to see Dylan returned to the arms of his loving family and am impatient for that to happen.

It's called doing your best to be helpful. Thank you!

Early on in this case I assumed that Dylan was suppose to spend the night at R's house that night. When I was asked by a mod to link it, I discovered there was no such thing, that there never was a plan for Dylan to stay the night that night, just to go visit, then go home with his father. I also noticed at that time there was never any plans for Dylan to stay the night anywhere, just to spend the days with his friends around Thanksgiving with his father.

Wasn't Dylan originally supposed to fly in on Saturday and that flight was changed? Maybe those plans were made based on him being there Saturday? Just a thought. ty

That always made sense to me...

Dylan arrive on Saturday

then spend Sunday/Monday with friends

but then the flight cancelled/changed and for some reason a whole different scenario happened........

I previously thought the timeline on Dylan's official facebook was put together by D Hess, the admin, based on input from Elaine, and perhaps others.

I found this timeline on Dylan's foundation website, and it's directly attributed to Elaine. It's very similar to the one on FMDR, but I do see a few differences.

Reading the timeline as being written or endorsed by Elaine is different to me from reading it as being from the FMDR admin, so I wanted to share it to see what others think.

Dylan's mother provides a timeline beginning on Sunday Nov 18th.

I get on here to learn, to understand, to gain insight. What i learned tonight by talking with family is that my memories aren't necessarily correct, i have flawed. The reality is worse than the memory. All i ask isthat you all pot your collective brains together to help me get answers. Thank you all,i i appreciate and respect your knowledge and thoughts.

And it was my understanding that Dylan wasn't going to spend the night at his friend's house, but just visit. The plane coming in an hour late changed those plans. And as TxLady said, we don't know if those plans were between Dylan and R, or if Mark was even consulted.

Since the plane was an hour late, Mark said it was too late to visit. And then considering we know now that R wasn't even home but spending the night at his Nandos, it was not planned for Dylan to spend Sunday night at R's. JMO

I don't recall that we've had any indication of if Dylan was going to spend any nights with his friends or that sunday night was only meant to be a visit.

If we have that information could you please provvide a link to it for me.

R was going to be at his grandmas on sunday night, R texted Dylan to go to Nando, I thought that like here in aus its a portuguese chicken restaurant/takeaway?)

we know from the texting that Dylan said he couldn't come by 6.45pm not exactly a late hour and realistically if a parent had errands to run early the next day it would make sense to let a child stay at their friends.

Going to Nando's is probably a reference to a boy named Fernanado who goes by Nando. JME with the name.

I assumed Nando was what R called his grandmother... :o... So there's a boy named Fernando?

I was hoping she would mention the dogs that took them to the intersection- what kind of dogs and when they went there, etc.

All in all, much appreciated and no complaints- I've just been curious.
