Re: The supposed 'rally' happening this weekend that was mentioned in that MSM link -

Maybe if the protesters were to toss MR into some water and he floats, then he is guilty. If he sinks, then he is not.

So he has spoken. For the first time in months he has spoken. So between this statement and the texts, we know he's returning texts from his family and he's talking to the press.

I just wanted to say that when I was 11 years old, a girl disappeared about a mile away from where I lived. She lived in the neighborhood of my parents best friends. My mother put the fear of God in my sisters and I. We were watched very carefully, and had to be everywhere we said we would be. We were on a tight leash. A year later, the girl across the street from my parents best friends disappeared. I knew this girl, when we had gone over to visit my parents best friends family, I hung out with her since except for my two sisters, everyone else were boys.

I got the fear of God put into me again, but this time I took it more personally. I didn't hear about this at school, we didn't get flyers and I was too young to pay attention to newcasts. What I knew about these disappearances came from my parents.

Parents have an obligation to warn their children and to make them aware of stranger danger. It's not up to LE or the schools or anyone else. Whether LE puts out warnings or not, should be immaterial, as long as parents are aware someone is missing, that should be enough for parents to do the right thing and warn their children and watch them closely. JMO

you piece of (explicative)

I love it.

Have a feeling that's why he didn't return calls and texts was because that's how they were delivered. JMO

This would be the perfect time if LE had the tiniest of good crumbs to send Mark's way, but it looks like Bender is not going to dive in to save him. “We’re not encouraging people to take part. We’re not discouraging people from it.” :rocker: Well, there are a couple days left.

It seems like the demonstration is really something to gain media attention. That's not a bad thing, they need to keep getting Dylan's name and face out there. Mark just seems to be collateral damage to that end. JMO.

Elaine Redwine said Mark Redwine has been “evasive,” and he has shut down communication with her. She has asked him several times to sit down and talk to her, she said, but he hasn’t made it a priority. Instead, he has threatened to file harassment charges against her and her son, Cory, for texting him repeatedly about the day Dylan went missing.

I had a feeling something like that had started right from the beginning.

It's just a constant back and forth with all 3 of them, and one's as bad as the other.

That's not what Cory stated his protest/rally is for. (Not sure I can say that up here. Should it be in the parking lot thread? I apologize, mods, if I shouldn't say this.)

Well, this is all on MSM now, so I assume we can discuss what is in the article.

How hideous that it got to this point. How sad that if this had to happen, and no one in the family is guilty, it happened to a family who could not manage, somehow, to,bear it together for the sake of Dylan. Most we have seen will come together at such a time. Desiree put aside what must have been rage and disgust with Kaine for Kyron's sake. But this family seems too damaged.

I can't imagine what will happen if this case is never solved or Dylan is never found.

I don't care about all this family drama. I've very low key. What I care about is Dylan coming home. I still believe he's alive and I still believe that in spite of the family drama, he'll be back. I feel it in my bones. I always have. But with all this family drama, what does Dylan have to come back to??? Poor kid. JMO

i don't think itr started out that way. I bet they began texting in a normal way, but as frustation set in, they began to sound more aggressive. JMO

But, in my opinion, if he IS alive, it is only because of all of this family drama. I do not see any other way for him to be alive, other than something related to all of this drama and dysfunction.

That, or something far-fetched - but still possible - like child trafficking.

For me, that is very far-fetched indeed, if just for the area alone. Way too coincidental that a trafficker would be out prowling, or even passing through, such a remote locale and happen upon a kid who doesn't even live there, is just there for a brief visit. But as far as being alive, you are right, what else is there? Seeing the family dynamics as we are seeing, though, again, too coincidental for me if he was random victim.

I am sorry but this is his concern (bolded above) at this time. This is his priority! Really??? I have telemarketers telephoning repeatedly every darn day & I am not thinking about filing harassment charges (well, yeah in my dreams), but these are TEXTS! Maybe he needs to learn how to scroll & roll. JMO

Even traffickers have to find their victims somewhere. If it's too obvious of a place, then they wouldn't be able to hunt there. Stranger abduction and other such crimes are crime of opportunity, people go out specifically to find victims. They don't want witnesses, and there is no hard and fast place for someone to hunt for a victim. Lots of kids have disappeared from remote places. How else does a perp get their hands on a kid if he's surrounded by loads of people. The fact is there are perps looking for opportunities and they find them, one way or the other. JMO

Can you file harassment against FAMILY MEMBERS for texting you too often? I doubt it.

I agree with you. I wish I had as much optimism of Dylan being alive as some of the others. I am still at 50/50 on how this situation came to be and who may or may not be responsible though. I don't have the same strong feelings about MR that most folks do, and I've read the exact same information they have. There is zero evidence that he did anything to Dylan, and as of now I take him at his word. Until someone shows me compelling evidence to the contrary, he is a victim in my eyes.

In a weird kind of way, sometimes I believe him; but then when I see the almost hatred that seems to be a part of this family, and the past issues of MR's temper or whatever (menacing) and the possibility that he did not have much to do with Dylan when he was close at hand, and last but not least, the whole issue with the phone/communication dropping Dylan out of the universe on Sunday night...I am back to being suspicious. And who knows what more LE may know that can be added to my list yet still not be enough to make a case.

You are right they do need to find them somewhere. From what I have read they target bus & train stations, kids on the street, runaways, they smooth talk them, befriend them...then offer them a warm place to stay or a job. They talk to them, find out what their need is to suck them right in public. There are tons of kids in vulnerable situations, no need to go to a small town in the mountains to a dead end dirt road & pray you can forcibly kidnap a victim. JMO

No need but there is always some sick eff that will like the challenge. That's just life, ya know??? They don't always make sense in what they do, if they did, we could stop them from doing it.
