Ok I want to share a story with you about myself as a little girl. When I was about 6 years old I used to walk with my older cousins to the restaurant where my aunt worked. It was a good distance from our apartments and on a very highly traveled road. I've always had a "photographic memory" and when one day they left without me in a car I took off on my own by foot to meet them. So picture me a 6 yr old walking alone through fields and busy streets across town. I knew exactly where I was going and when I got there they had already left. Did anyone call someone to let them know a 6 yr old just came in by the self? No. So I walked all the way back to my complex and right in front of the entrance a man stopped me and told me everyone was looking for me. He could have easily snatched me and no one would have ever known. Thankfully he took me to my parents and I got a belt whipping. I never went off on my own again until I was in middle and high school on foot or bike for u to 2 miles. In retrospect it really should have been my cousins who got in trouble for leaving me behind as they knew they were supposed to take me with them and our parents expected me to be.
My point is Dylan used to live in the area he is missing from. He probably knew his way around and could have gotten tired of waiting and walked. He also could have used the computer before he left because it has been said (not verified) that somehow MR has had one of Dylan's FB accounts open and has been looking at his history. We honestly do not know what happened but until there is evidence I won't be pointing any fingers due to lack of it.

My grandsons live in a rural area and most of their friends are a mile or two away if you travel the road. They often go to their friends house and they cut through the woods or take a short cut. Usually makes their walk or bike ride less than 1/2 if by car. My point is DR had friends in Vallecito. Could he have set out walking and took a short cut or a route through the woods that have not been searched. He could have had a accident or something.
I know the roads have been searched but not sure about the areas off road toward Vallecito. ty

Yes that is front-page news in the DC area now. Very sad for the little guy and his anxious parents. The survivalist kidnapper (who also shot/killed the little guy's school bus driver) has not even made any demands, so LE isn't quite sure how to deal with this (to keep the boy safe in the hands of the survivalist). VERY sad. So yes, odd and nutzo and crazy things happen. i pray Dylan is not experiencing anything like this (and actually don't think he is).
The simplest explanation is most often the correct one. I've never been one to believe in conspiracy theories, so, I suppose not doing so here is, in fact, a form of opinion.
Aphrodite Jones said something recently on 'True Crime' that rings very true. She said, 'If it doesn't make sense, then it isn't true'.
But, that doesn't make sense. MOO
The problem with that statement is that perps are often NUTZ. Nothing they do makes any sense, but it doesn't mean it isn't true.
Look at the crazy kidnapping in Philly of Nailla, the 5 yr old. Broad daylight, a pregnant woman in a burka, walks into the school and signs out the child, claiming to be her mother. And she gets away with it. That method of kidnapping makes no sense, but it happened. JMO
Katy,
You are missing my point. You can follow that person's actions from A --> B
--> C, and it does make sense. I'm not talking about someone's mental state, I'm talking about cause-and-effect.
In your scenario above, if I studied this woman's motivations, I would come to a conclusion as to why it was done. It's never just because. There's always a reason. And, those reasons are discernible.
In the Casey Anthony case, the primary reason she was aquitted was because her lawyers were able to derail the rationality of CAUSE (silly, selfish, young woman who wanted to be unincumbered by a child for hours @ a time without letting anyone know it) --> EFFECT (young child overmedicated to the point of death) in the juror's minds. But, that is because our system of justice is not based upon what actually happened, rather what can be PROVEN happened.
Anyway, sorry to blabber on. Again, my mind works in that the most reasonable conclusion is the correct one.
From all local reports, one road in, one road out. No shortcuts. JMO
It seems to me that, since Dylan had his phone and his charger, even if he didn't have cell service at Marks (and didn't know RN's grandma's number), he would have just got one his other Bayfield buddies' numbers off his phone and called them using the landline. It wasn't his first time at Mark's. If cell service is that bad there he's used the landline before.
Sure it does. If there is, in fact, no cause-and-effect, then it doesn't make sense. Thereby, it is not true. A --> B --> C. Doesn't mean you have to understand or agree with someone's thought process or actions or reactions, but it does mean that there is a discernible reason behind it, if you look @ it from an unbiased position.
Not talking about roads. Boys take trails through the woods that maybe were logging trails, hiking trails, or just well worn short cuts. jmo
