I must have missed something about MR saying that money or his job was causing a conflict with being on the show. Where did MR state this?

Also, since there are others assisting with this case, I'm sure that word could have gotten to MR without posting it on a FB page.

I can't take anything posted there for anything more than rumor, because I don't know where it originated or if there is truth to it or if the truth has been twisted. I also have no idea who is hiding behind the keyboard posting these statements.

All I know, is a statements were made on a FB page and people took them as fact and started with the mob mentality again. Legs grew.

Is the situation not bad enough. Why the need for making assumptions and putting words in someones mouth. It only gets drama started. I have no idea what is meant to be accomplished by these actions, other than keeping the drama going so people will stay focused on the page.

I also don't understand after repeatedly seeing contradictions on these pages and finding out that not all things stated end up being fact, others still so easily run with everything they read as being truth.

And that's why the mods here don't want stuff posted on FB here, it's rumor, there doesn't have to be any truth to it and once it hits here, it grows legs.

I have not read FB as it pertains to Dr. Phil, but I am wondering how is it being presented or discussed. Is it another challenge to MR to come on the show and answer questions, walk the walk, or is it a genuine offer to MR as father of missing Dylan. What is the attitude if you know. thanks.

The official FMDR page presents a sense of urgency, that they need to go on the show right away, and that Mark's participation is necessary. Then MH offers to remove lost wages issues with a certified check to be delivered through the Dr Phil show. There is a lot of emphasis on doing this FOR DYLAN.

There is no discussion in the initial post about what will be discussed on the show or the format of discussion on the show.

Hope I correctly paraphrased this.

MR said he couldn't do the DR Phil show for 3 more weeks. Since he goes out of town for work, 3 wks at a time, it makes sense that is his reason. What else would it be?

But if someone covers his pay, and his boss gives him permission, then what can he say?

Didn't he also miss a few days when Dylan went missing? It appeared he had Thanksgiving week off, but I don't remember seeing anywhere anything about other time off or how long it was before he went back to work. So.... maybe things got behind a bit and they need to catch up?

I don't know. I agree that the company would probably be willing and it may just be a matter of timing or something, like you are saying.

I'm not sure how much time Mark missed from work when Dylan went missing. That may be a factor here with him being able to get more time off.

I would rather hear from him what's going on with this Dr Phil issue than second hand news via Facebook. MOO.

Okay Guys - as I'm following along, I'm sleeping on the job.

Yes... We (me included) need to stop discussing the facebook rumors. Let's try to police ourselves please.

Also - to the poster that said the family refused the mediation - could you link that up for all of us please? I don't remember seeing that anywhere.

Thanks!

Unfortunately, and it's probably worse these days because of the number of people out of work. I know one of my neighbors had never missed a day of work until he had a severe asthma attack. He called work from the hospital once he knew they were going to make him stay. He was released on a Friday after a lot of treatment/meds and called to let them know he'd be able to go back to work on Monday, and was told that he no longer had a job. He was fired for excessive absenteeism.

OT: Your neighbor needs to fight this dismissal. Asthma is covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

If I take a step back and just look at the flashes of this story that hit me most - it's ER's pain and anguish. She is suffering. And IMO, that was the goal. MR seems contented with his effect on her emotionally in the laid back, nonchalant, non-urgent and unconcerned demeanor in his interviews. He seems to be enjoying it, as if that's the goal, the point, and the only thing that matters to him. He doesn't seem too concerned with DR's welfare, with getting caught in a crime, or anything. he seems to be enjoying the pain he's caused and continues to perpetuate with his lack of cooperation or action. that speaks volumes to me. it's vicious and cruel and sadistic. like a knife to the heart.

I don't understand why Mom can't go on Dr Phil's show now without MR especially if it's about finding Dylan.

Because MR was the last person known to have seen Dylan. He has a lot more to answer for than ER does.

Redwine said that law enforcement even suggested that the Redwines, divorced six years ago, get mediation so they can work together better to find Dylan. So far, he said, Elaine has not accepted.

This was said two days later:

Thanks Dee! I know I read that article before, but I only remember MR saying it was something he was trying to work out with the help of his divorce attorney. Maybe they updated the article or something?

Anyway, very interesting.

As far as I know, Mark has not made any statement about this show. The comment about Mark's willingness to do it in three weeks is in the initial FMDR post about the show.

If he's going back to work he's not disabled, right? Also, some states are "at will". They can terminate at will, meaning for any reason or no reason.

Which we are going to stop discussing now. It's okay to read there, but we shouldn't be discussing the posts from there because none of them can be verified and it is all considered rumor.

So... that means we need to drop this conversation now.

I think if the focus of the show is Dylan, Elaine alone should be able to handle it. If the focus is Mark, then I think that him being there would be necessary. MOO.

Here's what Elaine said about the show.
Dr. Phil is offering to put us on this Wednesday,” she said, referring to daytime talk show host Dr. Phil McGraw.

“I would love for (Mark Redwine) to join us,” she said. “It’s very important that we get this information about Dylan out there. As I’ve said all along, this is only about finding Dylan, and we need to work together as a team to do this.”
