“We don’t know where Dylan’s at. We have no idea where Dylan’s at. It could be anywhere,” said Mark.
It??? Reporter error?

I think it is simply MR manner of speaking. "It" refers to Dylan's location.
MOO IMO etc etc Jazzhands
I find his statement odd in that it appears to shift blame onto mom. I get why mom feels MR is not being asl helpful as he could, because of their strained relationship and the fact Dylan disappeared on MR's watch. I get, to some degree, why MR has no wish to deal with his ex, who at this point has made no bones about her feelings about MR.
But the statements about Dylan not being the type of kid to run away, followed by his speculating that he in effect did just that because he is torn between his parents is strange to me.
Then he goes onto say that Dylan may be watching all this play out from somewhere with the insinuation that the bad blood prevents Dylan from wanting to return. :waitasec:
I actually read these statements as if MR is shifting blame to Dylan.
Is he really suggesting that his 13 year old son voluntarily won't come back home because he is upset that "mom and dad" don't get along?
So what does he think his 13 year old son has been doing all this time?

My ex-wife and I both agree that Dylan is not the kind of kid that would run away but I also think that theres a possibility that Dylan was torn between his parents, said Mark.
My fear is hes out there somewhere, able to see whats going on and he sees the conflict going on between his mom and I, said Mark. I think thats a huge concern. But who knows what goes through a 13-year-olds head.
Ok am speechless. So in the first sentence he agrees that Dylan would not run away. BUT his fear is he's out there somewhere able to see what's going on and he sees the conflict?
So if Dylan did not run away WHERE is he out there somewhere? This place where he's able to see what's going on... Where is this exactly Mark? And this is a huge concern to whom? Dylan? So much so that he has decided he'd rather stay with his abductor?
This is absurd!!
I actually read these statements as if MR is shifting blame to Dylan.
We need to know that whoever's responsible for this has enough compassion in their heart to change what's been done and bring him home..
drop him off at Wal-Mart, let him come home...
I guess I'll have to do some thinking on this - my understanding seems to be different from everybody else's. I thought that “My ex-wife and I both agree that Dylan is not the kind of kid that would run away but I also think that there’s a possibility that Dylan was torn between his parents,” meant that he's not the type, but he might have done it for this reason; something like, "I don't care for spaghetti, but I'll eat it if I'm really hungry."
I didn't think the other part meant that DR had a choice about whether he went home or not, but more that he was concerned about the effect their conflict might be having on him if he does have any access to the media. Now I have to decide if I agree more with what I think or with what everybody else does. :waitasec: MOO
<modsnip>. I don't see how anyone could not see through this guy.
