Does anyone know if the door to the house was locked when MR left and when he returned that morning?
I asked this a few days ago because of a theory I had, but noone seems to know. I don't think it's been addressed in the media.Does anyone know if the door to the house was locked when MR left and when he returned that morning?

From what I have read here Dylan was not in an unfamiliar place. And there was a land line, wasn't there? I'm thinking I have read there was one. I think I would have done the same thing that MR did. Namely, send text messages on the cell phone. No response would mean the kid's still sleeping. Dylan knew the area and had friends in the area. I would assume, as MR did, that Dylan was out and about doing what he always did when he lived there. I came home many, many times when my sons were teenagers and they weren't home. I never once automatically thought they were kidnapped. I went about my business, assuming, as MR did, that they were having a good time with their friends. I don't think the first thing that would come into my head when my son wasn't home when I arrived is that he had been kidnapped. Just saying....
Another thought that occurred to me is that MR said he went to Tristan's house to see if Dylan was there. Has anyone heard/read if LE has verified where Tristan's parents were that day? I assume that LE has done so, but has anyone heard this mentioned in any interview or article? If Dylan was texting Tristan the night before (in addition to R), then Tristan's parent could have come to get Dylan. Just speculating, of course. I would assume that the parent(s) were at work. Where was Tristan? Just curious....
Another question that I have also. Would MR have expected that Dylan would lock the door when he leaves?Does anyone know if the door to the house was locked when MR left and when he returned that morning?
Like you, I noticed in many of Dylan's pictures he is not smiling and in fact looks miserable in some or is standing apart from everyone else in the picture.
Not necessarily. They may be trying to run down anyone ELSE who was in the area that might have seen something odd that night or later.
Example (this did not really happen): I travel to Las Vegas in the winter and go through Red Rock Canyon. I take pictures, other people take pictures, maybe my car is in one of their pictures. As it happens, I go hiking and while hiking I run into another hiker who has no jacket. Looks weird, but I continue on, finish my trip and head home. Turns out somebody went missing in Red Rock Canyon, but I am long gone and know nothing about any missing person because I am no longer in the area. However, a local person has my car in a picture and gives it to the police so the police can track me down and find out if I saw anything odd. See how that COULD work?
But if Dylan was with MR, (on the road that night) then aren't they looking for someone who might have footage of their vehicle? Why would they be looking at other people's vehicles if Dylan was safe and sound with MR? I guess I don't understand your point.
My husband has a degree in psychology and often says if a teenager doesn't test positive for schizophrenia then something is wrong with him/her. It's just a stage they go through and usually outgrow. Point being, it is normal for a teenager to be unpredictable!

There is (imo) a big difference between an 11 year old and a 13 year old. My girls were recently those ages, and you wouldn't think two years is a big difference, but it's HUGE. Just the same as there is a big difference between a 13 year old and a 15 year old. This is a time when big changes occur in the brain. I don't believe someone could control a 13 year old in the same way as one could control an 11 year old. (jmo)
Yes, he did. My point being that neither MR nor R were concerned when Dylan did not respond to their text messages. Was this normal behavior for Dylan? Why was no one concerned that he was not responding to their text messages? I suppose they thought he was just sleeping in. Who knows?

What if we played a game today?
What if we assumed every thing said by MR is 100% true ?
Where does that lead us ?
( i know he says this or that and some things changed over time , but the gist
of it is let's assume he's truthful to the best of his ability )
Just to prove my point that I do indeed see some red flags concerning MR, I think this quote of his sounds more like something someone would say at a funeral:
I want everyone to know how much I love that boy and how much I cared about him, and how much I thank the community for all the effort that they put in, he said. He was such a wonderful boy. He meant everything.
Everything is in past-tense. This I DO find strange!

I'm still looking for a article where LE says they ruled out this was Dylan.
