I'm not trying to insult anyone. I think that Mark's sons can believe he's guilty of Dylan's disappearance without disparaging them. MOO.

In all honesty I think Marks sons came to their conclusion by the way Mark treated them. I think we have to wait and see what Brandon will say.
We know what cory thinks but we also have to remember they were there and I do think they where with him when he took the poly. JMO
This is why I believe Elaine knows how he did on that poly!
And Id bet my last dollar he failed it like she said on NG...
But thats JMO

I agree. I think that Mark's past treatment of his sons will play a big factor on what they say on the Dr Phil show. MOO.

And do you think it should not? We have no idea how Brandon feels or what he thinks. I don't think he's ever spoken publicly about any of this has he? So what if he is there to support MR? Why are you assuming it's going to be the other way around?

It is my understand that this son and Cory sat down in a quiet room and spoke with MR shortly after he went missing. I believe that this son also spent some time with MR during those first weeks that Dylan was missing.

Could you tell me where you got this understanding. Is it reported somewhere? I remember reading that MR and CR talked, but I also thought ER was there. At the beginning and I have forgotten some detail it seems. I recall one of the sons saying he was going to CO to try to get to know his father. Suggesting he really didn't have much of a relationship with him. jmo

Oh gosh this is going way back. Somebody just posted a link a couple of pages back about the meeting Cory and Brandon had in a quiet room with Mark and I know I read about Brandon spending time with Mark when this happened and IIRC it was worded similar to as you stated. I couldn't quote it word for word though and I'm not good at finding links.

I haven't read where any of Mark's sons said that they had a good relationship with him. If they did, their keeping quite about it and are not lending him any public support. MOO.

I have never heard MR's oldest two sons speak about him. Have you?

And if it turns out that Brandon is going on Dr Phil in support of his father then what? Why are you assuming he is not?

He has also met with his other son with Elaine Redwine, Cory, 21, and a son from another marriage, Nicholas, 28, from Arizona.
“We all met together in a private room and sat down and talked. I haven’t heard from Cory for three days,” Mark Redwine said. “I think he’s struggling like we all are. I know he’s closer to his brother and to his mom than to me. We were trying to get our emotions out on the table and focus on finding Dylan.”
Mark Redwine said he would like to meet with his ex-wife but so far has not had success beyond the text messages.
“I don’t want to have dinner with her and become buddy, buddy, but as parents of a missing child, people need to know that we can put our differences aside and that we want our son back,” he said.

@NCAnalyzer,

This is an interesting perspective you have posted and I think it does tie to what I've said above. That the details of the divorce battle are really negligible. Primary is the fact that any number of things could have triggered a rage that was taken out on poor Dylan.

I am not saying MR did anything to Dylan. I am pointing out that this information supports any MR Did It theories as providing a motive and making it seem possible for a father to kill his child. IMO.

your post inspired me to do some more research and i found the following stats and examples from around the country:

According to FBI STATS *mothers and fathers killed 10331 of their own children under the age of 5 from. 1976 - 2005: * * * * *
Link:*http://bjs.ojp.usdoj.gov/index.cfm?ty=pbse&sid=31

250 - 300 children are killed every year so 1 out every 33 murders is a parent killing their children under age 18.

The following are some example cases of fathers who have killed their children for reasons of custody, child support or alimony:

Awesome research, SuperMom! Unbelievable isn't it when one actually looks at it! It's all about power and control and the children are the pawns.

In the first "cursory" search:
"We were checking the basement and other rooms, we were seeing if there had been something left on the bed, like his cellphone," Bender said. "We weren't doing a very meticulous search."

This statement pains me. This whole initial search business. As mentioned in the initial threads, I would've been demanding for them to collect and test every dustmite!

With CBI, FBI involved, they still have not found one shred of physical evidence of anything in MR's house, properties or vehicle(s), as we understand it. If a crime occurred at the residence or in the car, I would imagine it was one which did not involve much or any blood.

Again, I want to mention Bender's statement which seems to imply that they think Dylan made it to the house...(looking for quote:)

His brother is missing. All MOO

I realize that Doneta, but what I obviously was asking is what can he contribute to the fact that Dylan is missing. Isn't that what the show is supposed to be about?

I have never heard MR's oldest two sons speak about him. Have you?

And if it turns out that Brandon is going on Dr Phil in support of his father then what? Why are you assuming he is not?

According to the article I posted the son's name that met with them is not Brandon but Nicholas. Unless they are the same person. jmo

I don't think that the focus of the Dr Phil show will be on Dylan. Focusing on the family dynamics will be much more interesting to viewers and will make much better soundbites to get people to tune in. MOO.

your post inspired me to do some more research and i found the following stats and examples from around the country:

According to FBI STATS *mothers and fathers killed 10331 of their own children under the age of 5 from. 1976 - 2005: * * * * *
Link:*http://bjs.ojp.usdoj.gov/index.cfm?ty=pbse&sid=31

250 - 300 children are killed every year so 1 out every 33 murders is a parent killing their children under age 18.
Link: *http://www.denverpost.com/news/ci_18151310?stopRedirect=true*

The following are some example cases of fathers who have killed their children for reasons of custody, child support or alimony:

<SNIP>

That's interesting (and disturbing) information, but what I found most telling is that I only saw 3 of them who were teens (or 12 year olds) murdered by a non-custodial father. Of those 3, 2 were part of a murder-suicide and the 3rd was murdered along with the mother. That doesn't necessarily mean anything, but it's interesting just the same. MOO
