If his priority was to get to Bayfield, why didn't he reply to his friends texts from Bayfield?

As his friends stated, it was not unusual for Dylan to show up announced.

I would think this means he did not text or call them.

I don't understand your post. I was not commenting on that. I was commenting on the bolded portion about R's comment 'coming'. He was asking DR if he was coming to Grandma's. That is when DR told him no. jmo

Perhaps I misunderstood? I thought you posted " I agree" in response to this quote in your post.

Dylan Redwine: Cant come srry ill hang tommarow

Now I'm *really* *truly* out of this convo.

Did I read "I agree" instead of " I disagree"? Apologies! Off to find my good glasses. :blushing: Since you and I were in agreement, it looks like I should have directed my question at the Cheese, instead. Oh well, no point in asking now since we know the plan was to meet in Bayfield.

But he had a charger.

Im confused on the charger issue. Can you tell me how we know he had a charger? He could have lost it in route or maybe it broke. If he was texting and playing games on the flight and after his battery would have been dead on both phone and ipod.

Was it mentioned he had his charger at MR's house and I missed it?

If the last activity on the phone was at 9:27, then it is when Ryan last texted Dylan. Cell towers were probably checked and it probably corresponds with dad's house. Is 9:27 the time of the mystery call where some are suggesting that maybe dad used the phone to give the impression that Dylan was using the phone?

Ryan: Just come around to were the sliding door is were that room is and knock on it and i will wake up

Ryan: (Time 9:27 p.m. Nov. 18) Call me when you get here too

It sure would be a lot easier if LE would release phone pings for Dylan and his dad.

It sure would be nice to see the videos from Walmart.

It sure would be nice if Dylan wasn't in a round about way being kinda' blamed for his disappearance.

It sure would be nice if LE thought there was a child abductor in the area that they would notify the community they serve.

And as Marks says....drop Dylan off at Walmart

nite all.

I don't think anyone considers him a murderer.

:waitasec: What has all these 37 threads been full of if not accusing him of disappearing DR? ty

Here is the article The Cheese posted earlier. It focuses on a subset of child murders - those where the child is abducted or suspected to have been abducted. Interestingly, when compared to murders of children as a whole the stats are quite a bit different.

For instance, page 24 of the PDF shows a table that breaks male child abduction murders down by age band and relationship to the killer. Boys 13-15 were killed by strangers 60% of the time, by friend or acquaintance 40% of the time and 0% of the time by a family member. Remember, this study is specific to children that were reported as abducted or suspected abducted, not all murders in general.

Really worth a read.

Glad you found that study helpful, ColdHands. I wanted to point out though that those aren't the filicide statistics I was referring to when I responded to the poster you quoted. The filicide statistics were in a separate post I posted today. Thanks.

The study above I posted for the section it has on body disposal, in regards to the discussion about the cadaver dog searches and where the SAR team is searching currently.

Dylan was up until 4 in the morning before he flew to see his dad ... no wonder he wouldn't wake up in the morning ... he was tired and sleep deprived by then.

Oops my bad then. I did like this study because of its specific relevance to Dylan's situation.

There probably are more MSM quotes but I'll post as I find them:

GRACE: OK, so that`s normal. What about the cell phone and the backpack and other belongings?

REDWINE: It was my understanding from his dad that everything Dylan had was in his backpack including his cell phone, his iPod, his iPod charger, his cell phone charger, all of his clothes. So we had to actually make a trip to get some of Dylan`s clothes from where we live in Colorado Springs because it was my understanding there were no clothes at his dad`s house.

Poor unlucky Dylan, indeed, if he awoke to an empty house, his phone did not work, he is too befuddled or backward to think about using a landline in some way, so he steps outdoors and is captured by a murderous predator before anyone can set eyes on him.

I believe Dylan was used to fending for himself.

The way his friends described the summer before, they met everday, hung out everyday, had pizza at the same place everday.

I am not even totally convinced that his cell was not working on the Monday morning.

I just think Dylan was used to doing as he pleased, when he pleased, and as ER stated, she would hear from him when he landed, whether that was that night or the next morning.

~Respectfully snipped~
It sure would be nice if Dylan wasn't in a round about way being kinda' blamed for his disappearance.

Questioning Dylan's state of mind, is not the same as blaming him. He is a 13 year old, young man. The more we know about what Dylan was thinking/feeling, the more focused our efforts might be.

If you think a post violates our victim friendly policy, please alert it and the mods will take a look at it. And I will make sure more than one mod looks at it to be sure I'm not being biased.

Lets compare with TeenNick

TeenNick
November 19 - 25, 2012

Monday, November 19

6:00AM Zoey 101
6:30AM Zoey 101
7:00AM Winx Club
7:30AM Ned's Declassified
8:00AM Ned's Declassified
8:30AM Ned's Declassified
9:00AM VICTORiOUS
9:30AM VICTORiOUS
10:00AM Big Time Rush
10:30AM Big Time Rush
11:00AM How to Rock
11:30AM How to Rock

Now this channel and time frame would be what teens would watch, not the Regular Nickelodeon in the morning !!

It's the same document! How funny! The second one you linked is a scanned version of the first and I didn't realize. So yes, I saw the disposal/concealment info, but the whole article is pretty good.

I'm just listening to the interview with dad and he said that there was a bus near his house and Dylan would take the bus to his mom's house (when she lived close by) and "that's the way they liked it" ... where Dylan got around on his own ... so Dylan regularly traveled between his parents houses by bus ... and children that don't have bus fare may hitch hike.

I thought it was the school bus.

I believe he was talking about the school bus.

Just to be clear, LE does have the iPod, correct? I know there was a news report that said an iPod was taken from the house.

I thought it was the school bus.

He mentions the school bus but I thought he then said that there was a bus that he took to his mom's place ... and they liked it that he took the bus rather than having to drive him. I'll listen to it again, but there's a lot to take in.

My first impression is that this seems like a very concerned parent ... not an angry parent that disappeared his son.

"Investigators took an iPod and two vehicles among other items as they searched Mark Redwine’s home yesterday."
