BBM: Of that, I have no doubt. Hopefully they are learning something new every day, but that's just because I think we should all be learning something new every day, :rocker: but with regard to this case...
I can see where precious time was lost due to the implication/speculation/possibility that Dylan was considered a runaway during the first critical hours. Unfortunately, we also have to consider that those first few critical hours were already lost due to the period of time that passed before he was reported missing. We have no way of knowing how that information was initially presented to LE, but I have to believe that by the time ER and CR arrived, LE would have been told that from their perspective, Dylan was not a runaway. I do know that searches were underway very quickly after that and the CBI/FBI were notified and brought in to assist. From that point on, I have no reason to think that protocol was not followed and all leads, tips and possibilities were being scrutinized.

Oh yes, absolutely. I am also very pro-LE- they have a hard job to do and do it well. I think 24 hours + was lost initially, both due to waiting until dark to report Dylan missing and then probably suggesting he wandered off on his own, to go fishing, see friends, whatever. We've all been playing catch up since then.

I did not mean to imply anything negative from my post. I am aware of Elaine's post on FB. I just meant that so much information can be obtained from "uncut" video. And I don't recall mentioning anything about a "brawl" in my post or speculating such a thing. :waitasec::waitasec:

MAA, did not mean to imply that you said there would be a brawl. But, it has been mentioned over and over. Sorry, you misunderstood my comment. jmo

I think LE suspected he was a runaway longer than they admit. Otherwise I cannot explain to myself why the forensic search of the home took place ten days later.

It does seem an awfully long time.

Any other theories/knowledge about why ten days?

I posted this yesterday I think or day before to confirm that the show would NOT air this week. BUT I think we should all check it on either Sat or Sun, whenever they update for next week.
http://drphil.com/

We would be able to tell a LOT by the Description below the picture for which show is which day... " outrageous parenting styles" " absentee mom, clueless dad " for whenever this show about Dylan is airing. Also if you click on each, it's a little ' spoiler' for that episode. SO my bet is well before we see the show , we will have an idea which direction Dr Phil is going to be focused on.

ETA AND I have a feeling when we see that description and view the trailer, our collective hearts will sink :(

Another red flag for me is the football story. This is the only actual conversation that MR supposedly had with Dylan that he elaborates on. He says that right after he picked him up he asked about how things were going with school. He then relates a story about how Dylan told him that he couldn't try out for the football team because he wasn't registered on time, for a physical or something? MR says that he could tell by the tone of his voice or something like that (sorry I'd have to find the actual transcript) that this bothered Dylan.

Thing is...if this story is true and Dylan did have this conversation with MR, it was MR's legal actions that prevented Dylan from getting signed up for school early and therefore perhaps being able to participate in the school football program. MR goes on to say how he thinks it's foolish or something because it's only middle school and everyone should be allowed to play regardless, I guess, of when they are registered?

I think this conversation was not a pleasant one between them either. Was Dylan blaming MR and his court actions over the past few months for things that were going wrong in his own life?

MOO

Thank you for mentioning their conversations because I wanted to point out that according to what MR tells us we do not hear any direct quotes or conversation from Dylan after they get to MRs house (if Dylan got there) (and yes, I know how everyone here loves analyzing words:-), for example he says: "I know Dylan was tired because he indicated to me that because he had been up ‘till 4:00 the night before."

Also, I noticed he did not start speaking in present tense about the past account of Dylan's visit until after McDonalds:

"we’re eating it on our way home. So…"

"So, we would have been here probably about 8:15 - 8:30’ish, somewhere in there…"

"so he’s texting back and forth with his friends, okay I’m not gonna’ come now…"

"so I get up to go run my errands"

“Dylan, I’m going down,”

"He’ll walk down to the river across the street or you know he might go up into the campground where he can be next to the river up there"

"I’m thinkin’ well, if he ain’t gonna’ return my text messages and I ain’t hearing my phone ringing cos he ain’t calling me, I need to go find that boy."

"So, I’m driving by the lake looking for him"

"There’s not much in it (referring to back pack)"

So, investigators are taught that when someone uses present tense when referring to past events, they are fabricating the story.

And just throwing this in because I think its really weird:

"I want them to look closely at me, because the more that they look at me, the more they’re going to realize that I have nothing to do with this."

Well, any trailer is going to show a glimpse of the most dramatic moment, even if out of context. So I won't go by that. Just like a trailer of a movie shows the funniest bits and if they are not that funny, imagine what the rest of the film is like.

You guys are inspiring. I think I should watch the uncut footage again while waiting for Dr Phil to air. My best guess is that Dr Phil will air next week. The newsier current events episodes seem to lag a week. Gotta edit all that raw footage into a package for John Q Public.

As i was saying- what jumped out for those of you who have gone back and viewed it again?

Well I'm just imagining what type of description this show will get

"CO boy missing 3 months"
" where is Dylan Redwine"
" did dad steal his son"
"parents fighting forces son to run away "

See? It could go anywhere. I'm just losing faith that it will be a positive
show. That may be because of all the negative talk about the show
affecting my judgment. Who knows? FWIW I Hope the show title is
"Help find Dylan " and that the body of the show reflects the title !

It's a long shot because the audience is only a few hundred people, but after the taping, I am going to do some searching to see if I can find tweets from someone who was in the audience.

I found the twitter of some guy who says he will in the audience today. I don't think I can post it but if he comments on the show, I'll paraphrase.

ETA: I have found 7 twitters in all of people going to the Dr. Phil taping today.

I understand and agree. I hope the description is 'Missing Dylan Redwine Found'. Wouldn't that be incredible. :please: jmo

Well when I hear MR talk about certain things I somehow get the impression that the opposite is, or at least was, true that evening. Another thing that keeps nagging at me is the "Dylan is a peacekeeper" conversation.

We've got a 13yr old boy who has just gone through a lot of change in the past few months, positive change from the standpoint of his mother and older brother. He was happy with the move according to the people who spend the most time with him. But we've also got an uneccessary custody drama going on IMO. Dylan's biggest influence as I see it would be his older brother. Maybe he didn't express to his mother how he really felt about what his father was doing by using him to block this move but I'd imagine he talked to his brother about it. And do they consider him a peacekeeper? Was he talking positive to them about MR during this? Or was he upset about all of it? Do they think he would not voice his opinion about it all to his father at the first opportunity they got together?

MR would have us believe that Dylan would not discuss any of this with him, because he's a "peacekeeper". What 13yr old boy (or girl really) is not self centered enough to be vocal about something he disagrees with that affects him? And why would Dylan feel that it was best not to talk to his father about something he disagreed with his father doing both to his mother and to himself? What would be the consequences of doing so? Is there some previous incident that would lead Dylan to believe that he has to keep the peace between his parents? And was Dylan angry enough at his father that evening to break that "peacekeeping" trend?

Not sure if I'm making my point clear here. :waitasec:

MOO

ETA: I guess what I'm saying is that I would think that CR would know more about what Dylan would or wouldn't do in the presence of his father and he seems to be unconvinced by anything MR has said so far.

It looks like a school is taking a field trip to the taping...teenagers love to tweet...perfect!
Yes...I am finding more and more twitters from people going to the taping!!

Can you give us a clue as to how you found? What did you enter into google? Thanks so much!!

On Twitter, search for things like:

dr phil audience
dr phil class
dr phil taping
dr phil today
dr phil tomorrow
dr phil trip

(There's a field trip to Dr. Phil's show today)

Dr. Phil tapes two shows/day. So I'm not sure how many of the twitters I found are going to the Redwine taping, or to the other taping.

“When that person passed that along to us we put that other person's description out in hopes that they will see that on the news and contact us because they were apparently on that county road the day Dylan went missing and we want to know if they saw any vehicles, if they saw anyone that looked like Dylan or anything of that effect,” Bender said.

Bender said it is possible that the person was not from the area and is not familiar with the ongoing case.

It was posted yesterday that MR and ER were going to drive DR home meeting half way. Thus one way ticket. Please report complete facts.

Also who VERIFIED the above bolded. I know I heard it from MR. Is this what you mean? jmo

BBM

Who better than MR himself to verify? But aside from that, I believe that LE confirmed his stated errands, did they not?
